I'm sure that once upload a time I would get a message that "Bob has uploaded a picture" I'd look at it next time he uploaded something I'd get told about the new one.
For a week or two now I've been getting "X uploaded 14 / 12 / 8" pictures and I've seen all but the most recent one or two. It's not the biggest of things but why is notifications telling me about ones I've seen ? Anyone ?
I think it's been like this for ages, I've seen the behaviour for a year or two at least

Ditto - there's always an overlap between new photos and ones that you've already seen.
So this morning it tells me fleurs du mal uploaded one picture - and I looked at her last one - the Stretchy uploaded 8, several of which I have seen and loved. I can't make sense of why the counter is reset for some and not for others.
It's only for the people you follow. So if you follow the model you will get notifications if she has uploaded an image but you won't get notified if the photographer uploads images unless you follow him as well even if the images are of the model you follow

I know. I follow both Fluers Du Mal and Stretchy. For FdM I get the told about pictures I have not seen yet. For Stretchy the list is extended with the new one I have not seen and 7 pictures I have seen (and loved/commented on some).
I can't work out why for some people I follow get new shots only, and for others it's padded with old ones.
