Everyone,


As someone who has recently made the switch from iPhone to Android I am still searching for some apps. I am trying to add some voice-over to some video.


On my iPhone I have several good quality sound recording apps. But I am unable to find the equivalent on Android.


Can someone recommend a good quality sound recording app on Android please ??


So far I have found multiple Android apps which are plastered with advertising before you can start using the recorder, then ask for monthly payments before they allow any audio to actually be captured.


Meanwhile on the iPhone I have found multiple apps which have limited numbers of adverts and are free. Does anyone know of anything similar on Android please ??

Are you planning to use the device's built-in microphone, or are you connecting a separate mic?

If it's the former (built-in mic) then simple voice recorder should be perfectly adequate. It is on the free, open source f-droid repository, so no bloody ads either! :-)

While you are at it, you might also enjoy OpenCamera app from the same repo, for many of the same reasons. And it's British! :-)
