Summers Abroad

Richard joined us on another Summers Abroad adventure - this time to sunny Spain!

As always Richard fit in with the group really well and the social downtime’s in the evening were wonderful!

Richard excels at location art nudes and has such an incredible eye for composition, but he will also throw himself into the themed stuff and always gets incredible images! His images were some of my faves from the event and I can’t wait to see more :)

Highly recommended by us and hope to host him again soon!

I’ve worked with Richard so many times over the years both on 1-2-1 shoots and also on a few of my events, most recently we did 6 days on my Summers Abroad event to Spain :)

We shot in various different styles and genres across the 6 days and Richard got some absolutely stunning images as always! He’s incredibly kind and laid back so is such a dream to work with, and I really enjoyed the social downtime with him in the evenings too!

I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Richard on a Summers Abroad trip to Spain in October and what a real joy it was to work and with him over the course of 6 days. Richard was kind, professional and fun to be around and to top it off we created incredible images that I am so proud to have been a part of! Richard has a great eye for composition and even got on the floor and did some more unusual shots with a wide angle to get some edgy fashion shots, these are some of my favourite images to date in my whole time modelling! Thank you Richard!

Richard and I arranged a location shoot a few weeks on advance, conscious of the weather. His pre shoot communications were excellent and well thought out and planned carefully, meaning we had a back up plan should it rain.

He also brought outfits with him to go with our theme as well as using my own outfits. After taking a slightly longer route to out first planned location he was able to adapt quickly and go with the flow, which resulted it some pretty awesome images!

He has a very keen eye for detail, and clearly knows his way around a camera, not being afraid to adjust his settings or experiment.

I highly recommend Richard and wouldn't happily work with him again in the future.

Another lovely shoot with Richard, this time around the new area he lives in which has some stunning locations! Despite not having the best weather conditions we managed to get some fabulous images at the two locations Richard had lined up, and he had even bought some dresses for the shoot too :D

From what I saw on the back of the camera we got some lovely shots! A pleasure as always and if I don't see him before then I can't wait to host him on another Summers Abroad even to Spain this October :)

I had a lovely afternoon shooting with Richard in Leigh Woods in Bristol.

Richard provided three beautiful Boho-style dresses for the shoot which we had discussed in detail over lockdown.

He agreed to drive to Bristol for the shoot, which I really appreciated. We were also very fortunate weather-wise, it was a beautiful day to shoot.

Richard was a real pleasure to work with - kind, attentive and a real gentleman. He has a great eye for lighting and composition and captured some stunning shots. Everything came together wonderfully and I'm really pleased with our shoot together, hopefully the first one of many!

Richard, thank you for the wonderful day together. Highly recommended to all creatives.

I worked with my lovely friend Rich again, this time on my most recent "Icelandic Dreams" trip along side a large team of creatives! We had worked together many times before and I think this was our third trip to Iceland together!! :)

This time around I had 6 photographers, a second guest model (the sensational Pippa Doll) and an amazing Icelandic model I had booked especially for the trip (Johannsdottir) which I had kept as a surprise for later in the week, working alongside Icelandic Horses!

Plus two designers who very kindly lent their stunning designs to me for the trip! Added to this, we were staying in a luxurious Villa which was a real treat!

Its always nerve wracking organising such an event and trip, especially going into the deep end together on a week long trip, but Rich is just such a great team player, so kind and knowledgeable! Rich is like a walking, breathing encyclopedia and I always greatly appreciate his input on my events. With Rich you always feel safe and he is such a capable and respectful photographer and person to work with.

It was an extremely challenging and cold trip (mentally and physically) for the models, modelling in minus temperatures on ice, snow and water- but we were very fortunate with the weather later in the week and even saw a beautiful display of the Northern lights three days running!

I really enjoyed working with Rich and could highly recommend him to all creatives. My only wish is that I had more time to natter in the evenings rather than sleep after such intense model days! :)

I would love to work together again in the future!

He has perfectly captured the essence of my dresses and make them blend with the landscape, choosing the best poses of the amazing models. Thank you! I would definitely work with him again!

Richard allows the model to be creative and add her contribution in the shoot. Richard is a true gentleman, a lovely kind person, photographer with a great eye and a good conversationalist!

Summers Abroad

After doing his first Summers Abroad trip last year for just 3 days, Richard joined us again this year but for a week in Southern France :D

It was a real pleasure hosting him again, he is no trouble at all and fits into the groups really well :)

Richard definitely excels in the art nude location genre so always creates stunning images on our trips, but it's really nice to see him give other styles and the themed shoots a go too and push himself out his comfort zone - which you wouldn't think it looking at the images!

Highly recommended by us and hope to have him on a trip again next year :D

It was a pleasure working with him as always, he is always so kind and respectful and makes sure you are happy at all times. He's also more than willing for me to steal his camera after every shoot too for back of cameras :P - in fact I didn't even have to ask by the end of the week I just smiled and he passed me it haha!

I had the pleasure of working with and meeting Richard for the first time during the course of a few days at a Summers Abroad event in France (organised by Rachelle Summers). He was such a friendly and sociable person, and a very kind, professional and respectful photographer to work with at all times.

I really enjoyed all the themes that I shot with Richard throughout the course of the event, but particularly enjoyed the fine art nude location work, which he really excelled at and produced some absolutely stunning images from. Another highlight was also shooting some boudoir work around the villa during a 1-1 session. Richard is extremely collaborative and values the input and suggestions of his models, and resultingly we produced some beautiful low-light moody boudoir/lingerie images during that session. He is also impressively speedy with his editing, and it was a delight to see quite a few edits go up even within a few hours of finishing a shoot!!! :D

A very enjoyable experience working with Richard, and hope to get the opportunity to again in the future, whenever we happen to be in the same part of the world as each other again.

I met Richard for the first time this week in France for a Summers Abroad trip. He was very polite and friendly from beginning to end and a really lovely person to spend the last few days with!

Richard shot such a variety of styles throughout the three days of shooting but his portraiture and landscape nudes really stood out when viewing them on the back of the camera (that said, I don't think I saw a single bad shot from the entire time by him) it was really a pleasure to be photographed by him!

Richard worked really well as part of a group in both solo shooting and shooting alongside others. I really enjoyed working with him and hope to do so again soon!

I had the pleasure of shooting with Richard the Oracle on Helen Diaz's organised trip to Iceland.

Richard was a highly valuable member of the team, with his great knowledge of Iceland and biology background he is incredibly informative of locations, weather, puffins etc - which is why he is an oracle!

Iceland is very cold, but Richard was an absolute star in lending me his coat bringing me my socks and boots, I honestly couldn't fault him in being a complete gentleman and really looking after us models.

Richard is brilliant at capturing landscapes and effectively composing the model within the frame which worked excellently for making the most of Iceland's beautiful scenery. Eager to get going, he had already finished an edit of me when we returned back to the apartment!

I love the images we produced, they are truly spectacular!

Thank you so much for being so kind to me on this trip and providing me with lots of knowledge!

Summers Abroad

Richard joined us on my Summers Abroad trip to Portugal and I’m so glad he did!

He was great company, fit in with the rest of the group really well and produced some stunning images :)

There were a few themes that were outside what he would usually shoot, which he didn’t have to do he could of done his own ideas during that time but he decided to shoot them, throwing himself out his comfort zone and trying new styles :)

Richard has already booked on to one of our trips next year and we are really looking forward to hosting him again :D

Richard and I had our first opportunity to work together in the sunny region of the Algarve during a Summers Abroad photographic holiday late 2018. :) He was truly a pleasant, polite and upbeat person to have the pleasure of shooting with and I genuinely hope it won't be the last! I can honestly recommend him very highly to other models who might be planning to work with him in the future or any time soon - he's a delight in all respects!

As a photographer/creatively it goes without saying that Richard has natural artistic drive and interests - as we would look at the back of the camera from time to time throughout the event/in-between shooting slots he was capturing some unquestionably beautiful imagery at the locations/villa and strived to not only seize a moment of magic with our poses, but also to get the best from the environment/landscape too. Location work routinely tests photographers more so/in different ways than having complete control (such as in a studio environment), but Richard threw himself at each theme/look/location and came out with tremendous results. He can exert beauty from an opportunity where the light is particularly nice, capture emotion or a story within an image... You name it! Richard worked brilliantly when we shot solo but also equally prolific when the sets were duo model (again, another challenge in the mix!)

In terms of etiquette and approach to shooting models, I cannot fault Richard in any way. He's an exceedingly nice person and gives nothing but pure professionalism to his shoots and the people he works with. Polite and courteous... Friendly and easy going... All the things which make a photographer a true delight to work with, aside from being driven creatively. :) He was lovely to be around both during the scheduled shooting time and the social time in the evenings - it's always a nice bonus when you can have a whole load of joyful chatter with your fellow creatives. It certainly makes the whole thing that tiny bit more fun when you're working with particularly nice people.

Richard very kindly booked a place on my Photographic Expedition to Iceland with a team of 5 other Photographers/Videographers and the amazing Pippa Doll!

I was extremely grateful that Richard was interested in this trip as I knew from our previous trip together to Iceland how knowledgeable and helpful he was. He is like an encyclopedia of Icelandic knowledge and shares the same passion for Iceland as I do, so it was a complete pleasure to have his company, he was such an asset to the group.

I have worked with Richard many times over the years and consider him a good friend. He was extremely kind, professional and thoughtful, always making sure that myself and Pippa Doll were comfortable during the trip- and even lending clothes and coats to make sure we were warm enough! :)

He is such a team player, fantastic company and was very well liked by the whole group. We were so lucky to have such an amazing group of people who really connected with one another and had FUN during the process! :) I will really cherish the memories from the trip and loved it so much that I am doing it all over again in 2019! The results from the trip were STUNNING and I can't wait to see the future edits!

Rich is a sweetheart and someone everyone should work with. HIGHLY recommended to all, a fountain of knowledge and a reliable and kind man.

Richard and I had been chatting for a while about shooting and we managed to sort a shoot for today. We were blessed with some fantastic warm weather, so our location shoot got off to a flying start. Richard is a lovely man, was quite happy to have him in for a cuppa before we went off to shoot.

We shot in a coffee shop, by some arcades and in a local park, focussing mainly on fashion and portraiture. Later on I took Richard to a nearby old Manor House and we were able to capture some lovely art nude images also.

Richard was great company throughout, showing me our progress on the back of the camera, and was happy to listen to some ideas I had also.

I had a really lovely time and the images I saw boc were ace - very much looking forward to seeing which ones he picks.

Had such a lovely afternoon out with Richard yesterday :D

We went out shooting in Exeter in the sunshine and got some absolutely stunning images from what I saw on the back of the camera. This was one of our most successful locations to date (having dealt with cold weather and annoying cars in the past haha).

We then watched a carnival passing through the city and had a spot of lunch before I left for the next part of my tour in Reading.

It was such an enjoyable day spent as usual and can't wait to have him join us on my summers abroad trip later in the year :D

The whole day was extremely laid back, we had plenty of tea breaks and chats and also had a lovely pub meal out too!

Our plans to shoot in a quaint little nearby village was ruined by a ridiculous amount of cars blocking our pretty views but we did get some lovely boudoir style images to make up for it :)
