References for Barbarossa Photo. (aka Mark Lycett)

I can't recommend Mark enough as a photographer.

As I'm new to this, I wasn't sure what to expect/do/wear/etc. Mark made sure all contact in advance was helpful and advised me what I should do so as to help my portfolio and what I needed to bring, etc. On the day itself, he was very kind and explained the different types of lights he was using, cameras, views, shadowing, all sorts. If he asked me to do anything difficult (physically awkward to get into a position) he would explain what he wanted and why and the effects it would produce.

If ever given the chance, I would definitely take the opportunity to work with Mark again.

I met Mark on a networking day at Pathways Studio's, and knew right away I would get along with him.

He is an excellent photographer with a clear understanding of aesthetics and creative flair.

A real easy going personality that instantly made me feel comfortable.

Mark contacted me for a last minute shoot, the very first of the year. He traveled to my location, with an idea for an abandoned building site, which is right up my street for a grungy shoot.

He is very professional, with the models well being being first priority, going on a hunt for things to lay down on the floor so i didn't have to traipse through the wet mud.

He is able to see potential images and give direction with ease.

Mark sent me the images he captured promptly, and I was over the moon, they now take pride of place of my portfolio.

I thoroughly recommend him to both new and experienced models, I look forward to working with him again in the future.

Met Mark today, he is a friendly person who treated the studio with respect, He also takes good photographs, so I can recommend Mark to any models looking to refresh their port or looking to just have a shoot in general.

I met Mark for the first time when we shot on location. Instantly clicked as he's very friendly. I was able to take initiative but also receive a little direction from himself as well - I'm very new to this! I wish we had had more time to shoot as the quality of image he created in essentially a dark abandoned room where incredible! Loved working with you and hope to again....soon! x

Had a lovely shoot today with Mark at a networking day, and although our time was short I can confidently say that Mark is 100% professional, creative and a pleasure to work with.

In our shoot I had to climb upon top of a metal tank that was quite slippery but still none the less safe. Mark made sure that I was comfortable a safe through the duration of the shoot and also brought along some handy sanitiser for me to use after!

I would highly recommend working with Mark!

I worked with Mark when we were both booked by Christina Lee MUA as part of her beauty degree. Mark was easy to talk to and made you feel completely at ease. He was on time and ready to work and sent me the edited images within in a matter of days. The edits were beautiful and one of them has become one of my favourite images within my portfolio ever!

I would recommend Mark for your shoot!

I shot with Mark on Sunday for 4 hours at my house.

Pre comms before and up to the shoot was great and Mark arrived on time with all of his equipment. After a set up and a test shoot, Mark and I went I to our first set..

We had a good.time shooting and the conversation flowed easy.

After the shoot was finished, Mark stayed and had dinner and spoke and learnt a few tricks in photoshop.

I'd recommend Mark and look forward to working with him again.

I had a shoot today with Mark in Slater Studios in Liverpool. Mark responded to my casting through Facebook and we quickly set a date and spoke of ideas of what Mark would like to shoot.

Mark arrived promptly on time well prepared, with luminous pink beard in tow. Gotta love that goatee.

We quickly started shooting after Mark had set up and after the initial direction being needed from Mark I settled into freely posing myself for the rest of the shoot. Mark had lots of great ideas and I had the male up and outfits to accommodate all of them..

Me and Mark do intend to shoot again in the future and I'm getting to see how he will get on with editing the images from today after receiving a beautiful portrait image from a previous shoot. .

I'd definitely recommend Mark and his bright pink goatee. Till next time

I had an amazing shoot with Mr Red Beard! :)

We organised something fairly spontaneous and last minute, and the location we chose was somewhere I had not thoroughly explored myself. So it was a great adventure for the both of us - we came across a lovely ruin next to the river, with moss and ferns everywhere, which we both found inspiring! Our focus for the shoot had been the waterfalls and river - but we got really side-tracked by the amazing stone wall there!

I felt totally at ease in Mark's company - he is really easy to talk to and is polite and respectful. I am usually nervous upon intially meeting people, but I found myself to be very relaxed in his presence.

Mark was really easy to work with, and a pleasure too! He gave good direction, had an idea of what he wanted from the shoot but was also flexible and went with the flow, and was open to my input too. He showed me all the pictures as we went along and I was blown away by them - we created some gorgeous art nude photography that I am very much pleased with! He is a very talented photographer and works to a very high standard. And most importantly - I thoroughly enjoyed myself on our shoot - it was ace!

I am really looking forward to shooting with Mark again soon! He is most definately recommended! Thank you very much Mark! :) :)

Hes has great suggestion during the shoot, photos are always quality and I always have a giggle with him.

I worked with the wonderful Barbarossa Photo the other day and I was such a blast.

Great communication before the shoot, were we talked about different looks to do.

He gave me great directions on body and face and how work them. I had a lot of laughs working with him, he made me very relaxed, just a great guy to chat with.

So want to shoot with him again and I would recommend this very professional, fun photographer.

I absolutely adore working with mark, having previously shot with him multiple times i always look forward to shooting with him.

Mark is funny, genuine and an all round lovely guy, his pre comms are spot on and he always brings great ideas to the table, we had a two hour booking and within that time he has produced some of my favourite shots :) we did some art nude during the shoot and mark was nothing but respectful and made me feel at ease thought, he even asked permission before posting one of the images incase the pose was too reveling for my liking which i appreciate.

I had an on location evening shoot with Mark and it was great! He's friendly, professional and very easy to work with, the time flew by. He'd done a lot to prepare and had already scouted out some great locations for shots so everything ran smoothly and meant we had more time to enjoy the shoot.
