Had a great shoot today at Black Star Studio. It is always a bit difficult setting up a studio shoot when travelling from home, but I need not have worried. Everything was just fine and as expected. A warm welcome and plenty of assistance as required so that the shoot went excellently.

Great studio in the heart of Birmingham with a range of backdrops, lighting, modifiers etc. Good domestic facilities in the building too - kitchen, microwave, team / coffee.

Bernie met me at the studio, set up the various backdrops and lighting set-up I requested and then came back at the end of my shoot to help tidy up.

Excellent comms, great facilities and service. Outstanding price. I will be back soon!!

I recently had a successful shoot at the studio. Although I an a long way away it is within walking distance of the railway station and I would happily meet photographers there for more shoots.

First time use of Black Star Studio - and will be using it again.

Plenty of lighting, good range of coloured backgrounds, modifiers , soft boxes.

Good communications - with the studio owner on hand during set up , then left

during the length of the shoot.

First class venue for smaller shoots ( 3 flights up)

This was the first time using Black Star Studio and I was very pleased with everything available to us, from the lighting equipment to the variety of backdrops we could choose. The studio was the perfect size for our needs, light and airy, and centrally located. Bernie, a friendly young man who had greeted us on arrival, gave us a tour of the building, and was on hand to answer any questions and help set up before leaving. I will certainly be using Black Star Studio again and thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a medium size venue in central Birmingham.
