This elderly gentleman suffered from dementia for some years when his family asked me to make a portrait of him in colour. I did, but made a black and white as well and when I presented this beautiful portrait of him, they all agreed that this portrait showed the personality he was far better than the coloured one.. As I often use as a motto: Colour distracts from the essence..
