References for Carla Monaco

Despite a late start due to train issues with the stylist. Carla put up with the hour-and-a-half delay with great humour (probably) and was ready to start as soon as we arrived. The theme was a Georgian Sense and Sensibility vibe with Carla playing the Elinor role (Sense). She nailed the acting requirements and the modelling was naturally no problem for her. She is so talented as well as being great fun to work with. I look forward to working with her again.

Oh my goodness, I have been lucky enough to have yet another shoot with the one and only Carla Monaco - my last shoot being approximately 18 months ago.

A shoot with Carla is perfection - she has everything.

We covered some very different vintage styles and some art nude. Carla modelled all amazingly. I love shooting vintage style and Carla does this perfectly - in fact all styles are modelled perfectly.

Not only is Carla an absolute natural in front of camera, she is a total joy to work with and has a beautiful personality, and an all round lovely person.

In my opinion Carla has to be among the very best - I am fortunate to have shot with her 6 or so times.

A beautiful shoot and the most amazing and varied images - what else can I say other than I cannot wait another 18 months until my next Carla shoot.

I had the absolute pleasure of shooting with Carla for the third time and gutted I haven't shot with her more. This will no doubt be rectified in future...

This time I booked Fareham Studio for myself and two brilliant photographers, to fill up the whole day.

For once, I was organised and sent Carla a moodboard in advance, with some specific images that I wanted to create. Carla agreed in advance that she had no issues with any of the images and was happy to go with the flow.

I had just received my new toy a Fujifim X100VI, so was keen to try some natural light images, which worked better than expected as the available light was pretty poor. However, using it hand held at 1/35th second it worked really well. Who better than Carla to have in front of my camera to experiment with!

Our first few sets were natural and a bit of fill light followed by some creative lighting for a few fine art nude sets. I cannot begin to tell you happy I am with so many of the images. In fact I could easily have a whole month or more of posting images every day, purely dedicated to this incredible lady.

I feel sure that the majority of photographers here on PP and beyond are aware of Carla's great personality and perfect model looks. She has to be one of the loveliest of people. So easy to converse with and an absolute joy to work with. My praise for her holds no bounds. Everyone should work with her at least once.

Thank you once again Carla for indulging me and for your dedication in trying to get the right look, you are an awesome person...

I recently had a fantastic duo shoot with Artemis Fauna and Carla Monaco at their remote shoot day at The Boardroom.

The preliminary arrangements were excellent and at the shoot itself Artemis first familiarised me with the overview of the studio. It was agreed that we would create one set in an art studio atmosphere and another where daylight could be used through a window.

The actual shoot offered the opportunity to take individual shots as well as both models together. I can't say which I liked better. In any case, the poses were great and the pictures we were able to produce were really really good. I knew and realised that Artemis and Carla are totally professional models and have a great flair for photography.

If I had to choose, I would say that the duo shots with Artemis and Carla at the window are my favourites.

I still have a lot of editing work to do, which I'm looking forward to.

Thank you so much for a brilliant shoot in a great studio.

Well what can i say 2hrs which i sadly had to cut slightly short however Carla is the perfect chatty Model that now I've had a chance to review the images i captured i can truly say. i have no need to edit

That is i guess the best praise i can give, the poses she threw at me are timeless and done with the greatest of ease and professionalism.

As for Carla's natural beauty and timeless Natural looks, as i say i simply have no editing to do.

I replied to a casting call for a two hour shoot with Carla plus two hours Lightroom tutoring with Adrian; what a fantastic session! Not sure what I can say that hasn’t already been said about Carla, just exceptional in every regard and I already know that I will want to work with her and Adrian again. Highly, highly recommended….and then some more! Thank you Carla and Adrian, look forward to working with you again soon.

A total to pleasure to work with Carla again after quite a long gap, and in a studio environment for the first time. Carla continues to absolutely nail any idea you throw at her: she is equally at home gracefully posing for classical nudes as she is making shapes for edgy fashion, and has a knack for combining the elements of different styles in clever ways.

It's such a buzz working with Carla and to spend time with such a lovely, down-to-earth creative. I add my highest possible recommendation to countless others.

Note to self: don't let another 5 years slip by before arranging another shoot!

An Eye for Beauty

This was my 29th shoot with Carla, and shorter than usual so 2 hours was not nearly enough, but as always it was a lovely shoot with plenty of chat and catch up as well as some great shots over quite a range of outfits and nude studies. Carla as always is a sheer delight to work with, and its like have a professional model delivering great poses and looks who also happens to be a friend. Looking forward to next time in the not too distant future. My humble recommendation among so many others. Thanks again, Carla.

I joined Carla and Adrian for one of their Bardot-inspired group shoots at TBG Studios. It was the 5th time I’ve shot with Carla, and great fun as ever.

The session was well organised with a group of just 4 photographers, taking it in turn shooting 1-2-1, as we worked through a series of sets. Both Carla and Adrian are a delight to work with, friendly, easy to chat to and know what they’re doing.

Carla is just a top drawer model, and makes the process so easy. Highly recommended, and I’m sure this won’t be my last shoot with her!

Great fun at the Carla & Adrian's Bardot workshop held at TBG Studio in Newmarket. Third time working with Carla and Adrian and I have to say as a creative couple, there is probably no one better.

Sets were all sorted, outfits all sorted - so all I had to do was turn up and point my camera. Carla was her usual genial and chatty self, taking time to chat with and look at images from all the photographers involved.

Carla is definitely top of my list to work with when she is in my area and I hope to work with her again soon. 100% recommended by me - again!

I have been wanting to work with Carla for some time now and the opportunity finally arose at her group Bardot themed event over the weekend at TBG Studio

Organised jointly with Adrian the event was very well styled and organised with excellent lighting set ups. And the icing on the cake Carla is a superb and very professional model who poses fluidly and with ease.

She is also down to earth and easy to chat with.

As a result I have come away with a stunning set of images, after an enjoyable shoot and also wanting to shoot with her again.

Had a lovely couple of shoots with Carla at TGB studio.

I booked in on her solo studio day on Friday, and on her group shoot on Saturday.

Carla is always great to work with. Very easy to talk to and discuss ideas.

On the studio day we shot a nice mix of styles from lingerie, art nude and boudoir.

For the group shoot with Carla and Adrian, it was a Bardot theme, really well organised, with 4 or 5 great sets, which allowed us to get a nice mix of shots.

It was great to work with Carla again, and I would love to work with her again in the future :)

This was my first shoot with the lovely Carla, whom I had made a note to self to work with for some time as I admire her modelling.

Arriving with plenty of outfits to choose from, with make up and hair immaculate Carla is every bit the experienced professional model you just know she is going to be.

A wonderful personality also makes shooting with Carla an easy and pleasant experience, as she breezes through poses so instictively.

I applaud her patience and can do attitude as my theatrical illusion shoots are technically so different from what models will often encounter. We accomplished everything I scheduled within the studio time and really happy with the results I have on the camera.

Absolutely reccomend Carla for any photographers project and so hope I have an opportunity to work with this fantastic lady again.

A quickie (1 hour) remote - single mood idea with the awesome Carla. Carla and Adrian were totally ready to start - styling, makeup, hair and set all ready then good to go. Fabulous set from this shoot. Working with true professionals pays huge dividends in shooting time and quality of images. I heartily recommend working with Carla. Oh and did I mention that she is great fun to work with too!

I had another brilliant shot with Carla yesterday. I had taken part in her Valentine themed remote shoot at short notice, which she had organised with the tried and tested help of her husband Adrian.

A very good idea, this theme offered plenty of material for emotional romantic pictures. As I know from her, Carla had prepared everything very well. Posing with transparent gauze curtains and cloths turned out to be particularly appealing. A semi-sheer red long dress was also very photogenic. Carla is absolutely versatile and poses very convincingly, but is also always ready to take my suggestions on board if she is convinced of a good result.

I can only say that working with Carla is fantastic!

I'm already looking forward to the next time and can hardly wait.

Third shoot with the one and only Ms Monaco.

It would be difficult - nay, impossible - to say something that hasn't already been said in Ms Monaco's 1222 previous references. So I'll keep it brief... She's bl**dy brilliant! Awesome model, super-creative, wonderful wardrobe and a great eye for styling, totally reliable and 100% professional in every respect, and such a lovely person.

Hang on... I WILL expand on that... I've heard a few photographers say that they'd be scared of working with someone of Ms Monaco's calibre. Don't be scared!!! She's not an exotic, unapproachable creature from another planet. She's a Scouser, and as one would expect she's totally down-to-earth, has a great sense of humour, and is soooooooooo easy to get along with. Definitely no diva!

P.S: Thanks for another belter of a shoot, Ms Monaco. (But apologies if I've ruined the 'exotic creature from another planet' image. :) )
