Wow, I have just had my second and third shoots with James in quick succession, (our first in 2017) and I am feeling on such a high - not just because these were my first two shoots of this year due to the pandemic, but because those first shoots back were with someone who shares my passion and enthusiasm for creating & putting out high-end, highly polished, beautiful imagery and delivers the most stunning results.

I can't recommend James enough - he is one of the most respectful photographers I've ever worked with - he's laid-back, fun, and is all about quality over quantity - it's always a joy to be in his company working with him.

Both recent shoots were socially-distanced location shoots, both in my decorated bohemian back & front gardens, and around the village where I live including the beach at the end of my road.

We have another shoot booked for a couple of weeks' time (our fourth) and I just cannot wait to bounce ideas around & create more fabulous sets!

James has also supplied me with various image retouch jobs, for which I'm super grateful. His shots are fabulous straight out of camera, which makes retouching enjoyable. He has a natural eye for composition, light, colour and DOF, and a talent for capturing the essence of any set, whether it's been styled especially for this purpose or a natural backdrop whilst out & about.

He's not adverse to getting super low / into awkward positions / laying in wet sand / water, etc. (all of which he did) to get the perfect angle for any given shot, which makes all the difference to the finished results.

Looking forward to our next shoot so much, thanks James!

So I finally got around to shooting with James today.

Although we ran into some car problems and wether problems that shoot went amazingly!

James is a respectable gentleman and made me feel very relaxed and comfortable.

The shoot went by in no time.

I would definitely recommend James and will be working with him again!

Had a another fantastic shoot with James at shutterworks again!

He always comes up with cool ideas so I'm well prepared what to bring :)

We created some futuristic coloured gel style shots as well as some quirky fashion.

I love his ideas and enthusiasm, he's so lovely to work with and laid back.

His lighting is spot on and the shoot feels like a proper collaboration as he is keen on sharing ideas between us.

He's very positive and encouraging too and an all round great person to work with!

Fantastic shoot with James at shutterworks studio.

I filled in for a cancellation and what a delightful shoot! He was well prepared with a beautiful flower arrangement which looked absolutely perfect for the beauty look he wanted to create.

You can tell thst he has true passion and love for photography.

He carefully considers his shots which is wonderful for me as it gives me time to think about my poses and in the end we get awesome results!

James was chatty, fun and super down to earth. The time just flew by and we've already got another shoot booked.

Cant wait to see the final product of our shoot, looking forward to it!

James booked for some tuition alongside a half-day shoot and was able to try some new techniques with Scott’s assistance. Always happy to have James in the studio, very respectful of the equipment and with great comms.

I worked with James for the first time today. His pre-comms were really good and he was happy to travel to me as I recommended a location near me. He was already at the location when I got there ready to start.

James is a really easy going friendly guy. Easy to talk to as we chatted away a lot.

I look forward to seeing his port grow again on here as he gets back into photography as James seems to be a talented photographer. The shots he showed me on the back of the camera looked fantastic. He says he doesn't quite have the eye for spotting locations etc very well yet so I had some input with ideas but with the composition of the beautiful shots he takes with other details some times such as soft foreground detail it certainly seems like he does actually have a good eye for things!

It was a beautifully sunny but cold frosty morning and James wasn't afraid to sit and lay in the wet frosty grass for a shot!

James isn't one for having to get every minutes worth of time either. We finished early when he was happy with what he had got and we'd made good use of the location.

Highly recommended. I look forward to our next shoot!

Had my first shoot with James at my place and must say I thoroughly enjoyed working with him. Very polite and friendly and knows exactly what he's after. Got some absolutely stunning shots and I really can't wait to see them! I 100% recommend james to any model and I can't wait to shoot together again.

I had a lovely and relaxed shoot with james today! We shot at my home, we did some casual ‘Sunday morning’ styles to start with and then some bridal and ‘getting ready’ styles too. He was a pleasure to shoot with; friendly, chatty and happy to let me pose freely which I like! I would definitely reccomend james and it looks like we have got some awesome shots based on the first I have seen!

I had a really excellent shoot with James on Tuesday at Fareham studio :) he made me feel very comfortable and he was very open to ideas styling wise. He was in the studio already when i turned up and we got to work very quickly. I would highly recommend working with James! We got some great results and i cant wait to share them thank you !

I had a lovely shoot with James.. it was his first ever shoot with a model and he has just signed up to Purpleport with a few of the photos we took during our first 3 hour session! He obviously has a natural eye for photography as he is very good at composition and looking for light.. we worked together on a series of shots around my garden & home in West Sussex.

James and I had a great conversation over the phone before meeting which was really appreciated; he wanted to let me know he had never shot a model before, only his wife & children, and what he wanted to achieve. James is thoroughly professional, and such a lovely person. He is super easy to work with, not to mention has a great sense of humour, and totally respects the model in every way. There is literally no down side to this guy; we are hopefully going to be working together more on a regular basis, for a mix of more shooting, lighting tuition and retouch work, and I am looking forward to it. I can't wait to see how his work develops as it is already great! :D
