I was attending a lighting workshop at Windmill Art Studio with Chris and while I was sceptic of the timed shooting, it worked very well and I would recommend that idea for others.

It was also very educational that he reasoned through his setup, which makes understanding the why and how so much easier. He also showed tons of creativity to cope with adverse weather and lighting situations.

I would highly recommend him and his team for workshops and tuition ... plus he does amazing portraits.

I took part in a workshop Chris organised with Amie Boulton at WindmillArt studio near Cambridge. Chris got us started with an overview of his techniques for lighting on location, and then we got stuck in to some examples (with opportunities for all of us to shoot, of course). For a location lighting course, the weather was unfortunately against us but Chris did a great job of putting together set-ups that allowed us to try different things and really learn some useful lighting techniques. I would happily recommend working with Chris!

I booked Chris for an afternoon of 1-1 lighting training. Beforehand I was in 2 minds as to whether it was a sensible idea.. I used to think that what I needed was more practice, not more tuition.

In the event the afternoon was completely invaluable. Chris has filled in some gaps in my knowledge – some of which I was aware of and some of which I wasn’t – and given me some new ways of thinking about lighting. I’m hoping and expecting that it’ll result in my lighting becoming more precise and more subtle.

Then there’s the fact that Chris is a thoroughly organised chap, highly likeable and comes with bags and bags of equipment. Very highly recommended indeed!

Had the pleasure of attending a portfolio building day with Chris. Amazing day can see why he is so popular amongst the models. I came away with so many images and learnt some new skills too. Can not wait for him to come back again. Highly recommend top man.

Chris is a very knowledgeable photographer who with Amie Bolton gave me some very good tips and showed me some very good tricks I hope to put into good use very soon.

Chris hosted an excellent model/lighting session at Map; a very knowledgeable guy who taught me a lot in a short time - along with Amie Boulton I was given the opportunity to take some great pics. For sure I will book with him next time he's here.

Mr Conway is most likely one of the coolest and calmest guys on the planet. I know he’s a professional but his relaxed approach takes it to another level. To be so talented and not show any brain strain what so ever into putting sets together is remarkable. It makes me jealous….in a good way of course!

And Mike, well anyone getting caught taking a selfie and pouting while holding the set together is great entertainment in my eyes, Hahaha! Love it!

If I find time to get to Plymouth its defiantly on my list of places to have a 1-2-1

Chris held a lighting group shoot at Map studio and came up with an amazing varity of lighting sets. As the weather was really hot, he even changed plans and created a couple of sunlight and flash combinations. He is very talented and I really would like attend another tutorial when he returns to the Midalnds.

I attended Chris' lighting workshop at MAPStudios last weekend and I super impressed with his professional set up; Stunning model, great location choice, and Chris' lighting techniques blew me away!

I'll definitely be attending more workshops in the future that's for sure.

Had the pleasure of working with Chris at a group shoot at Map Studios.

Chris set up all the lights for the shoot and recommended the settings to use, as this was my first studio shoot this was great, offering help and advice throughout the night.

Chris and team ran through five lighting set ups gave everyone some 1-2-1 shooting with Amie B.

The results are very good and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Chris.

Had a shoot with Chris on his tour at Map Studios.

Chris is very accommodating due to me being slightly late and was deeply impressed with the 5 light sets as they show a skilled photographer at work.

As a photographer myself, I learnt a few things from Chris on the day.

Overall a thoroughly enjoyable session and am hoping to meet up with Chris in the near future to learn more.

I had my first lighting workshop with Chris at the Natural Light Studio in Northampton, and Amie-Jayne Boulton was the model. Chris was very welcoming and made you feel comfortable in asking questions, although maybe I asked too many ;) the hunger to learn. We got some great images from the 5 set ups and hopefully I can use some ideas in my own home studio or location. Would love to attend another. Thanks Chris for a great day :)

I attended one of Chris' portfolio builder workshops at Eyebox studios in Bristol. I'd happily recommend his workshops to other photographers as it was well run, I learnt some stuff, and got some shots I was pleased with.

I was a little skeptical of his three mins per photographer per set format, but actually it works really well and with a pro model like Aime Boulton you can get a lot done in three mins.

Bottom line: I'd attend another if the chance were to arise.

I met and worked with Chris at a studio lighting workshop in Surrey earlier in March; he had taken a lot of care to set up different lighting set-ups for us to use during the session and fully explained each one before we shot. He was keen that those attending got shots we were happy with during the session and I learnt a lot about studio lighting set-ups. He limited numbers so we could all interact with him and Aimie (our super model) during the session.

I met Chris for the first time last weekend at a lighting workshop he was hosting at Woodbridge Studio, a fantastic space in Camberley. Although we didn't have much time to get to know each other I found Chris very knowledgeable and easy to work with, and the looks he put together were fantastic. I hope to have the chance of working with him again and can thoroughly recommend him to others.
