Courtney-Ariah

My full name is Courtney-Ariah Winter, and I am a documentary-style photographer based in Europe and in the United States.

I started photographing in 2017 after balancing a few years worth of internships in the journalism world with bartending in the evenings. I have not put my camera down since.  

I enjoy capturing the art of a healthy conversation; the effortless conversations between people, objects, and our inherent surroundings; furthermore, the conversations between animals and nature -- specifically those amongst trees.  Lest we not forget, the conversations that we have with our very own bodies.  Whether we are aware of it or not; we are ALL conversing with each other on an everyday basis.

Conversations venture far beyond the (limited) 5 senses that we have grown up to believe and trust in so strongly; they count for all things seen and unseen in pictures; especially the unseen.  That is what I find absolutely captivating; and the reason why I love photography.

Everything and everyone always has something to say.  

I am always on the lookout for new projects to take on, as well as likeminded creatives (models/MUAS) to collaborate with as I am constantly updating my portfolio.
