Dave Johnson

Originally a news photographer, I have been widely published. In the past I have travelled throughout the UK and Europe on assignments for major international companies. I'm now semi-retired and shoot largely for my own pleasure, although I'm still open to offers of commercial work.

I am now based on the coast in St Monans, in the East Neuk of Fife, brought here by the the proximity of the sea, the stunning locations and the natural light that makes the area such a popular place with artists of all types. My Anchorage Studio is small, but well equipped and literally yards from the sea.

I say I am based in St Monans because I will still be travelling extensively and regularly shooting in the North West of England, North Wales and North Yorkshire as well as further afield when the opportunity presents itself.

I'm happy to work with new or relatively new models to help them develop their portfolios. I have been taking photographs for a long time, but every shoot is still a new experience and, invariably, an enjoyable one for all concerned.
