References for Tom Licht

Tom and I had the chance to work together when I toured Germany recently - the first part of my trip I spent in Düsseldorf and this worked perfectly for us to fix a shoot since I had a lovely apartment arranged from which we were able to work. :) Tom communicated very well/swiftly which helped me massively in coordinating our shoot slot against my schedule and getting an idea of what we could look at creating image-wise. He came across professional and super friendly from the outset and I’m completely confident to say that this vibe continued throughout our whole shoot on the day.

We had planned to work with the natural light opportunities at my apartment (this was actually my reasoning for booking the place because it did offer very lovely and plentiful natural light!) And throughout the course of the session; we took on a fabulous array of different ideas, working creativity to the maximum yield. :D We conquered everything from arty and soft, to glamorous and suggestive, then stylish lifestyle/editorial on the balcony outside with the amazing sunshine that we were blessed with. Goodness we even tackled mad and crazy as a concept which suited me down-to-the-ground because I do love thinking “off the wall” and the shots in the back of the camera came out truly fantastic. :D Tom was genuinely a very awesome person to get the chance to work with and I’m so glad that he was available during my visit... It did not take long at all for us to generate a superb model-photographer rapport, and though Tom has a great eye for the moment; he was so welcoming of my ideas and input which enabled us to bounce off each other from one set to the next.

A brilliant photographer most certainly; quite often he had the ongoing challenge to wrestle with the light as it changed constantly (gotta love sunlight) but this was the perfect example of how - when you do manage the conditions as a photographer, the rewards are out of this world! He did it effortlessly, all the time whilst he then had to think about angles and how my mad and energetic posing progressed from being in one place one moment and then the other side of the room/furniture the next! He made producing gorgeous pictures look so easy... And it’s more challenging than one immediately thinks when you’re entering a space that you’ve not worked in before and have to think “on the job.” He was also very sharp in spotting image opportunities and willing to try anything once - even if it meant him being confined to a weird position in the room to get the shot. Tom is clearly extremely passionate about his photography and this most definitely shows. :)

So yes - I most certainly recommend Tom and would jump at the chance to work together again if I returned to Germany on a future tour. :) I’m addition to being a fabulous photographer, he also presents himself with a lot of courtesy towards the models he works with. He was respectful of my levels, very easy-going and just good-natured in general. I felt totally comfortable during our photo shoot which is always very important to everyone involved as you have a better experience all in all. We chatted loads, had a laugh and the time just flew by!
