This was one of many images I took of Pip the Gentleman when he came to my studio last month. I turned Pip into Bad Santa, creating costumes, props, backdrops and varied sets, and this is the set where Father Christmas has just had a few too many to drink. Pip was hilarious and if I hadn’t have had anti-shake on my camera, every shot would have been blurry for laughing so much. He is nothing but a wonderful man and an exceptional model and brought every image I took to life, creating the best Christmas images ever. Pip was lit with a large beauty dish with a grid and a snoot for this shot, enhancing the textures in his beard, the colours of his tattoos and the quoted throw, and the shoot lit the bottle of beer (sorry, real ale).
