I recently had the pleasure of attending Martin's Studio Lighting Workshop, and it was an excellent experience for refreshing my lighting skills!

The small group size was ideal, allowing for personalized attention, and Martin's relaxed and approachable teaching style suited everyone perfectly.

I highly recommend his workshops for anyone looking to enhance their photography skills. Looking forward to attending the next one!

I was hosted at Hampson street Studio by martin and Pebbles Model for 2 days.

Martin had sorted 2 Group shoots out 1 for each day, and had sorted me a lift from my bnb and back and to the train station very kindly.

both days went smoothly and martin was busy setting the lights and sets out, being a tea boy haha and making sure everybody was happy the perfect host.

i was well looked after which i never doubted after spending a week with him on his model photography holidays i knew i was in good hands.

So, I was contacted regarding a studio evening at this studio. As I was eager to involve myself in more networking activities, I was happy to be involved.

Martin was very approachable and helped me feel at ease about the entire process.

There were a few photographers present, which I wasn't a stranger to, but had only done something like this once before at the time. But everyone was welcoming and friendly!

The shoot itself went very well. I got some fabulous shots from each photographer and Martin kept checking in to make sure I was alright, which I highly appreciate.

A lovely and chilled atmosphere throughout. Would happily shoot here again!

I had a great shoot at Hampson St Studio - everyone there was friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome and comfortable. The studio had a chilled atmosphere to it, which made the photo shoot really fun. I'm glad to have had a chance to meet and work with such awesome people, I hope to work with them again in the future.

I had a great shoot today at Hampson St Studio in Bolton with Louisa Lu modelling. The studio has a fabulous infinity cove, several coloured backgrounds and a different sets that can be used and lots of props. The equipment is great and the owner really helped me setting up some stunning lighting that made the colours really pop.

I had a really enjoyable time and I will definitely be going back. I am really pleased with the results.

Had an amazing shoot with Martin at his Wednesday night workshop at the studio! This was my first time at the studio and everyone at the event including Martin was super friendly and welcoming which made it a really enjoyable experience. The studio itself was fabulous and I was made to feel very comfortable with a spacious dressing room to get changed and organise my clothes - there was everything I could have possibly needed and more. Martin treated us all to McDonald’s after the shoot which was a really lovely way to get to know everyone and have a laugh :)

Martin is a highly professional and lovely natured guy and I would recommend him and his studio to any model who is looking to create great images for their portfolio!

Back to where it all began!

I’ve known Martin for years now and when he asked me to come to one of his studio evenings a year and a half ago, I never expected to have come so far. He introduced me the industry and gave me an opportunity which has changed my life for the better. I’ve met so many amazing people and had so much fun along the way! Thanks so much for believing in me when even I didn’t.

Wednesday evening was my first time back at the studio and I was made to feel right at home, seeing all the familiar faces was so good! I’ve been unwell in hospital recently and as most will understand getting back out into the real world can be daunting but everyone was so lovely, patient and kind. I had a lovely evening and hope to catch up with everyone again soon.

A very relaxed and friendly atmosphere, highly recommended by me.

I had a shoot booked here with Pebbles,

The studio is in a great location with easy parking, the studios is always kept immaculately clean, there is a big choice of lighting with a full width infinity wall and paper backdrops either side, I have shot here on both workshops and now on a solo shoot, Martin is always on hand to help set up the lighting if your not entirely sure, the studio now has a GOBO unit with a great range of shapes that can certainly enhance the image.

I would highly recommend booking the studio whether its for a group shoot or if your doing a solo shoot with a model, always a brew on the go and never too much trouble if you want one.

100% recommend.

Hampton St Studio's Weekly Club Night, run by Martin and Siobhan, is a must-attend experience for photographers old and new. Whether you are interested in expanding your model portfolio, looking for advice on how to get the best out of your gear or simply wanting to spend a pleasant evening in the company of like-minded individuals - Wednesdays will never be the same again. The studio is equipped with everything you need to capture great images with Martin on hand to offer advice and support should you need it.

Where to begin!...

it's an absolout pleasure modeling at hampsons studio, Such an amazing atmosphere full of friendly people that make you feel right at home. I've done a good few studio nights there now and a few 1 to 1 shoots and my confidence has just grown more and more every time. Always a good laugh in the studio and really if we are being honest it's like a big family that welcome you with open arms. For those starting out with modeling I couldn't recommend anywhere better!

Also if you love a good brew Martin the owner makes a brilliant cuppa 😉

Had such a lovely evening!!! Martin and his partner were so so lovely and welcoming. The studios had great facilities where we took a variety of shots on the studio night. Loved all of the amazing photographers I got to work with, who were so nice and a talented bunch ❤️ Was such a relaxed and fun time here, everyone had a great sense of humour and made me feel comfortable!

I have been attending Hampson St. Studio for quite some time now. Mainly for the club nights on a Wednesday but also for several of the special themed nights. What can I say about the studio other than I obviously highly recommend it.

The club nights are very well organised. Martin the studio owner is there to help with lighting but we are encouraged to experiment with & to set up our own lighting. More often than not he is assisted by Siobhan she keeps us all in order, makes sure no one monopolises the models time and is there as a reasuring face for the model as she is an awesome model herself. Martin also runs tuition nights at the studio & location days in North Wales. These are excellent both from a learning, socialising oh yes & you get some excellent images.

Thank you very much Martin & Siobhan for all your help over the years. Not only do you run an excellent studio but I am also very pleased to say you have become people I am very proud to say are now very good friends. Martin is also an awesome Wedding Photographer & I hired him to shoot my son’s wedding. Highly recommended on all counts, keep up the good work.

A great first shoot at Hampson Street Studio with the wonderful Helen Rose.

A great space with large infinity curve, plenty of backdrops and Martin on hand to set up any lighting should you so wish. Martin couldn't have been more helpful and was the perfect host. As a professional photographer himself, instantly knew how to set things up to get the shots you were after, which for me was great; thank you Martin.

First time shooting here and it was a great place to shoot!

The heater was super powerful (it was snowing outside so this is key ha) and Martin is a great host who makes sure you have everything you need.

The studio has a great space and has the ability to accommodate lots of different ideas - Martin is also great with his lighting and helped us set up some cool original sets.

Hope to return in the future!

I did a group shoot, which was a workshop organised by Martin, and it is a very spacious studio, It is a really good Studio as the heater was full since it’s very cold outside, There’s a nice big mirror which is ideal to do make up. Everyone was very friendly, I would shoot here again

Hampson St Studio is an amazing place. Martin is incredible, the most welcoming, down to earth, respectful man that instantly welcomes you with open arms and dignity. He is so good at his job, an asset to the photography industry.

The Wednesday club nights are extremely recommended. As a influencer/content creator/model that suffers sometimes extreme anxiety, this is honestly something that broke a huge part of that barrier, just throwing myself in and knowing that to be successful you have to trust the amazing people you are working with around you. If you suffer or are worried, please message and speak to them directly, because they will go ABOVE and BEYOND for you and will do as much as possible to make you feel comfortable and dignified at all times.

They will never push or exceed your level or boundary.

The studio is very accessible, is beautiful with a range of different sections, designs, lighting, backdrops ect and I would highly recommend a shoot here.

I cannot wait to go back when ive gained more experience and hopefully work with martin towards the future.

Attended the club social night on Wednesday & felt so welcome, everyone was really friendly. Martin was so accomodating and taught me so much! I would definitely recommend the studio, everyone is so professional and the equipment is amazing.

Club nights most Wednesday on a sort of open mic/lens basis for up coming models. A chance for togs to chat, models to get great portfolio builds and friendships to be made.

Martin is a great host (weird fascination for Thai chilli crisps) and the evenings are always a place to learn and develop for all there.

Well worth making the effort and you do tend to want to come back.
