I had my first shoot with James near my place in the beautiful abandoned church a short walk from my home, themed as post apocalyptic, I knew this would be the ideal spot.

James communicated exactly what he was after which allowed me to be well prepared before the shoot and I was delighted to work with him on the day - finding that we’re rather alike in the way we like to work and socialise too. It was a real pleasure to spend a few hours with him and I largely enjoyed creating different moods following his direction and discussing shared passions such as urban exploring.

I’m really hoping to work with James again in the future as the results were amazing and the day honestly flew by with ease.

James is a very talented person and a wonderful photographer to work with, I have no hesitation on recommending him to all models!

I worked with James earlier in the year at my home location. James was really straightforward, friendly and concise in his pre-shoot communication. On the day, he was punctual and friendly and articulate from the very start, communicating what he wanted to achieve during the shoot, and working with me to get the most out of the time and facilities. James and I got creative, sharing ideas and working together to produce some unique and interesting work. James came along to the studio day at York Photo Studio, booked a couple of hours, and what a lovely shoot it was! We got some incredible studio portraits, different outfits and backgrounds, and the images so stunning - James has an amazing eyes for creating wonderful images, not to mention, he's a lovely person, very respectful and easy going. Would highly recommend to all models!

Pre communication was excellent James is very informative as well as creative and I knew exactly what he wanted prior to the shoot

I was greeted at the station from there we headed to James's awesome studio space and created some wonderful beauty/headshots experimenting with lighting and subtle posing

I recently had the overdue pleasure of working with James after much communication over the last few months and following each others work for quiet a while!

We shot whilst I was hosted by Crossroads in Keighley for a studio day. We had strong Pre communication about the styles and attire we would shoot and James clearly had a strong creative vision as to what they wanted to achieve.

They were punctual and polite throughout the shoot, as well as alot of fun to work with! I felt we developed ideas very well together and came out with some very strong imagery!!

This was my second time working as a makeup artist with James and hopefully it wont be my last. James has excellent pre comms and had great ideas for the makeup. He allowed me to put my own creative stamp on the look which is really important to me. He was very accommodating and the studio was fantastic. During the shoot James was professional and shot quickly, but was friendly throughout and really easy to talk to. I'd highly recommend James as a photographer and I look forward to working with him again in future!

I had a studio shoot with him and MUA keli yesterday at his studio in york

Studio is a huge space and parking on site so it’s perfect! There’s a costa next door too!

We shot for 3 hours on a couple of creative looks.

James is just the best, he knows his photography stuff abs lighting set ups as well as being lovely and friendly also! We had a good chin wag as well as creating some awesome looks that looked great from the back of the camera.

110 percent recommend from me!
