Jay and myself had been in discussion in regards to shoot for a while.Pre-communications were excellent, I understood what Jay was hoping to achieve from the shoot. Jay took time in ensuring that the lighting was correct, and planned the stage for the scene for the shoot. On seeing the photographs after the shoot, I feel we achieved the desired outcome. I found Jay easy going, relaxed and professional. Jay was patient and gave a lot of direction throughout this shoot which I was grateful for as it’s was a very new direction for me. I would defiantly work with Jay again. Thank you Jay for a great shoot.

Basford Hurst Cottage Photography Location

Jay came to Basford Hurst Cottage to shoot with Erica Mulkern on her group shoot event.

Jay worked well with Erica on each of her sets and made sure to be always respectful of the location and our time schedule for the event. Jay is also incredibly easy to talk to, polite, friendly and each to work alongside.

Jay is welcome back to Basford anytime and I hope to see him again soon!! Thank you Jay!!

Ballerina Erica Mulkern

I had a lovely shoot today with Ray at Basford Hurst Cottage. He was great to work with as always and our time together in the group shoot was highly productive. I got to see some BOC and was very happy with the results. I hope to work with him again soon and would highly recommend! :)

This was my first shoot with Jay at a studio day at f8 and he is a delight to work with. He came well prepared but very happy to go with the flow which I really appreciate. He has a great sense of humour and is a team player, making him a dream to have on group shoots.

I would highly recommend working with him and I can't wait to see the images :)

I had the pleasure of working with Jay recently during my weekend at f/8 Studio. We discussed some ideas in pre-comms and Jay brought a variety of accessories and props, which always warrants a gold star in my book! We had a lovely chat in between capturing some beautiful images, where Jay took on my suggestions as well as inputting his own. I'd be delighted to work with him again and happily recommend him to others.

As a model I usually travel for shoots with this one being in Gloucester as a change from my hometown Birmingham.

Instantly upon meetings Jay he was very warming and offered me a coffee at Costa and we sat down and talked our shoot through.

Jay is a very professional, who has a great eye for detail and what really works, I would highly recommend him and love to work with him again in the future.

Done a portraiture workshop with the lovely jay the other evening which he organised. I felt very comfortable throughout, jays very easy to talk to and very welcoming. I hope to work with him again in the near future :) lovely gentleman x

Had a lovely shoot with Jay at his home Studio in Gloucester. Pre-comms were great; Jay told me exactly what he was looking for (including theme, poses and outfits), so I felt prepared on arrival. We initially discussed that the main focus of the shoot would be to experiment with his new lighting equipment and we agreed that 'the perfect shot' wasn't a necessity. However, I think what we produced was pretty darn close! Jay is fairly new to shooting with models, but this didn't show at all and the unedited shots I've seen so far look fantastic!

Very pleased with the variety of shots we managed to get and I'm looking forward to seeing the final results! Would 100% recommend Jay to any model, not only for his talent behind a camera but also his hospitality. I hope we can work together again in the future. :)

JayH was a complete amazing person to work with, he knew exactly what kind of shots, style and posses he wanted from the get go and it was just my job to deliver, with his camera quality and delivery being just as crisp and clear as I would have wished.

We collaborated together very well and his way of shooting and getting the shots was very professional and productive, with props other than just the camera, being used and in play. He took multiple amazing shots that were extremely defined and caught the look that he and I wanted and he got many shots from similar posses but from different angles for me then to see which ones I would want to post, or to deliver a variety of different angle shots.

I highly recommend JayH he is an absolutely amazing man to work with and he is a very humble and friendly guy.

Jay attended a recent group shoot with Natasha j Bella, This group shoot was very different as due to the COVID 19 virus was done remotely using ZOOM, Jay was on time to be connected and captured a great set of images. I had my second shoot with Jay today, he's a fantastic photographer... had loads of ideas for shots and really helped me with getting into poses... I had a fab time and can't wait to see the results.

I would highly recommend Jay.. he's really creative and fun to work with ;)
