I shoot for the pure enjoyment I get from making an excellent photograph and sharing that with the world. Not for fame or money or other kinds of acclaim. If those come, that's fine, but they're not at the top of my wish list.
What is at the top is the image. Whether it's landscapes or buildings or people or animals, I want the image to speak to someone, to call attention to itself, to proclaim its worth. It's the angles, the light, the framing, the subject. When it all works, the image is everything.
