"Quiet Days in Montmartre" is a nod to the 1970 film "Quiet Days in Clichy" (directed by a Dane and filmed in Paris) - the difference being that Clichy is located in the seedy part of Paris. I rather like to think that Montmartre amplifies the atmosphere of eroticism, replacing the seediness of Clichy with refinement and a mood of gentle sophistication.
