I got a chance to work with Maikol again for another shoot in Bexhill and included another beach based section, this time the weather was much more suitable than last year.

As always with Maikol we got a great set of images and we had an enjoyable shoot.

I hope to be able to shoot with him more in the future and explore different styles.

DUO SHOOT WITH PAUL AND MAIKOL

Paul, a model I regularly worked with before COVID, asked if I would do a shoot with him and Maikol. Two distinctive models, two complementary personalities and a blank canvas – the opportunity to evolve some classic and moving images: who could refuse this call to Art?

And it was pure creativity; pure unadulterated synergy of talent delivering against carefully structured themes. I thank both of you for your extraordinary trust in me and for a session which owes much to your spontaneity and skills to play sensitive, physically intertwined parts with all the emotions it takes and demands.

Do I rate you as a model, or a muse? - Sincerely, both. You deliver and that’s what counts and that’s what I look for from behind a lens, from inside the creative process. In my book you are extraordinary and talented.

I have worked with Maikol a few times since our first shoot together last year and it is always great to be able to shoot with him.

He is well prepared, provides good preshoot comms and arrives perfectly on time.

This time we did a beach focused shoot and had some images in mind that we'd both like to achieve. Unfortunately the Great British weather wasn't on our side today and the wind chill meant that any 'in the water' ideas where pretty much off the table.

However, it is a credit to his professionalism and 'can do' attitude that we still achieved a majority of the looks and styles we were after. Even though the conditions were not ideal he did not complain once and he was able to pose and follow suggestions without any discomfiture showing in the images.

I look forward to further shoots with Maikol and still have no hesitation in recommending him to other photographers.

Maikol is a fun, friendly person and a talented model. We had excellent communications before and on the day of the shoot. He arrived on time with a positive attitude and a range of outfits to wear. Throughout the (long) shoot he was highly motivated and followed direction as well as suggesting ideas for poses etc. He clearly really enjoys modelling and does it very well. He is open, genuine and flexible about shoot types etc. A real pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend him.

Maikol was great fun to work with. We did a cowboy scenario shoot. Maikol's look made it almost Cowboy and Indian. He had a lot to chat about. Made everyone feel at ease. He took direction well and made it SO easy to work opposite. I felt I learnt a lot from watching him work. Would jump at the chance to work with him again if the opportunity presented itself. Great fun.

Maikol is a force of nature - and a delightful young lad. Despite being fairly new to modelling, he has rapidly become a consummate professional and can communicate ideas both verbally and physically in a unique way. He hardly needs direction and in two shoots we had very few shots that were not up to both of our exacting standards. He has an acting talent too (view his videos), and this shows in his modelling where he slips easily into roles and responds beautifully to the camera. I thought I'd seen everything in 40 years of photography but what Maikol can bring to a shoot is quite a revelation. He is a real joy to work with and I have no hesitation in recommending him for both fashion and art photography. We already have further shoots planned.

He is a charming young man and an excellent communicator. Always early for a shoot and well prepared.

We did two duo shoots today and he was extremely helpful with one of the models who was inexperienced, taking him under his wing, so to speak, and encouraging and supporting him with hints and suggestions.

He has gained a lot of experience in a relatively short time and is willing to try new things. I am sure we will be working together again soon.

Maikol was one of the first members of Purple Port to reach out to me after I set up my account to show an interest in working with me on a wedding project, despite the fact I had no references on my portfolio at that time.

He was patient and understanding as I tried to create a shoot that involved both a bride and a groom, without having a fixed location in mind. He communicated his availability well and his eagerness to get involved lead me to the decision to shoot with him individually, in the absence of an available female counterpart.

As luck would happen, about two hours before our planned shoot I was contacted by another model indicating availability to shoot and we were able to do a full bridal shoot at Brighton Pier.

Maikol was early for the shoot (much earlier than myself, who discovered that parking was surprisingly hard to come by in Brighton and the A27 much more susceptible to standstill traffic than I'd anticipated) and was exceptionally professional throughout. He needed very little direction but responded to guidance and feedback well when trying to create specific shots. He was open to ideas and worked extremely well with the other model involved in the shoot, despite having never worked with her previously.

I would strongly recommend anyone work with Maikol on any projects they have in mind as his approach and maturity towards his work in unquestionable.

Had my first shoot with Maikol, to which this was my very first time working with a male model. Maikol’s coms were amazing, all the way leading up to the shoot and on the day.

He has a very upbeat and positive attitude working as a model, bringing his own outfits and ideas with him. He knows exactly what he is looking for, but is also open to suggestions and allowing me to add or remove parts of ideas.

On this shoot I took my other half Tara, on here aka Tbird who I believe helped him in many ways with posing and his confidence.

We all walked away very happy from our shoot together and would love to work with him again in the future.

I highly recommend him to anyone, who is looking to step into using male model’s.

Maikol was relaxed and easy to work with, and a natural at taking up poses.

I've worked twice with Maikol over zoom in relation to a university project.

The first time we spoke was for an interview, Maikol was interesting, engaged and articulate. He also went out of his way to help me find new participants for the project which was extremely helpful.

The second occasion was the photoshoot, again over Zoom. Despite the difficulties that arise from working remotely Maikol rose to the challenge and we produced the imagery needed. He brought helpful suggestions to the shoot, posed easily without being directed but also responded really well to instructions.

I highly recommend Maikol and look forward to working with him again once we can create work in person.

I had another great shoot with Maikol.

As always pre-shoot communications with him were very good and we had a clear idea for a shoot plan agreed easily.

Unfortunately due to the lock down last month and the restrictions now in place I couldn't shoot at my home studio to get the style of images we originally wanted. However, Maikol was very flexible and was happy to work around the changes necessary for me to be able to shoot at the moment.

I can easily recommend Maikol to any photographer and would happily work with him again in the future.

Maikol is a pleasure to work with. We shot in Virginia Water and he showed lots of enthusiasm and flexibility. He communicated effectively throughout, came spot on time, brought lots of changes with him, and was generally a good sport (despite the rain!). Even though it was raining and he had travelled a long way for the shoot, this did not stop him from showing tremendous energy for the job at hand. Throughout the shoot he made constructive suggestions and took very little direction. Although Maikol is just starting off as a model, he is a very quick learner and already shows signs of experience and professionalism. I had a great shoot today with Maikol. A lovely young man, enthusiastic and happy to take drection but also prepared to put forward his own ideas and suggestions.

It was like shooting an experienced model, which he isn't, as he brought a great fluidity and flexibility to his poses. Coupled with a great body and an uninhibited approach he is a great asset to the modelling world.

Pre shoot communications were excellent and clear. Things are not easy with the pandemic but we were able to shoot safely and maintain social distancing.

Oh what a day!

It was my great pleasure to work with the mind blowing and magical Maikol.

Our pre shoot communication was great and we were very clear what we wanted to achieve. We both managed to reach the location earlier then planned and our shoot hit off straight away. He had come completely prepared with all the costumes and even extra props.

Maikol has this typical chocolate boy look and he is able to carry it off with so much ease. He is super cool with taking directions too.

In summary Maikol is very dedicated and focused and I am sure he will be super successful in his modelling endeavour.

I had a great shoot with him and I 100% recommend him to all you creatives out here looking for a super male model shoot.

Maikol organised a duo shoot and I was invited to be the photographer.

Pre-shoot communications where great and the three of us agreed the basic outline of the shoot easily.

Maikol and Jarin worked well together and I'm really pleased with the range of images we all achieved.

This was my first duo shoot and I'm very grateful for the experience Maikol provided.

As before I'm happy to recommend Maikol and it would be great to work again with him in the future.
