So after around 4 years of trying to arrange a shoot but covid and life getting in the way I finally got around to shooting with Mike and boy was it worth it!

Super friendly and down to earth guy had a lot of fun shooting. He knows exactly what he wants for a shot giving directions to clean up poses or tweaking to get the image absolutely spot on. His experience in the industry definitely shows and pre coms was absolutely amazing so I knew exactly what makeup and hair was needed and what sort of outfits to bring to fit the mood board he'd created. Mike was professional throughout and the final images was brilliant.

Hopefully we'll get to shoot again soon thank you for a great day!

Working with Mike was a really fun and insightful experience. He is a really pleasant and open minded person. He was very respectful throughout the whole photoshoot, taking my ideas and thoughts into consideration. He was very informative of where I needed to be and the positions I needed to be in. Very professional, honest and informative.

We tried a few different ideas and got some amazing images.

Also my dress ripped leaving me turning up a little late but Mike was very understanding and we got what we needed within time and both happy.

Mike Lancaster is definitely a top photographer that I cannot recommend enough. On the lead up to what proved to be a chaotically delightful shoot Mike got in touch to politely ask my pronouns and comfortable levels which I found incredibly respectful. The shoot itself was wild and Mike always knew exactly what to do to capture jaw dropping shots out of the ensuing madness and the results, I think I speak for everyone when saying, couldn't have been better. Definitely shoot with him if you get the chance

Before the shoot he contacted me to check what my preferred pronouns were and how comfortable I am with different levels which was incredibly professional and broke the ice before we even met! Had an incredible shoot with Mike, along with three other models, for the amazing brand For The Fly Customs at a studio in Huddersfield - we shot a rather wonderfully chaotic mix of harnesses, t-shirts, and chokers, several different lighting set ups, duos, solos, and all of us together. Literally, the best shoot I've had in a while, had an immense time!

Mike was super chilled, very artistic, and cool to chat to, was so organised, and kept up the pace until the shoot ended, he was awesome. Would highly recommend this dude, he's fecking brilliant!

It was the first time working with Mike and pre-shoot communications was great. He knew exactly what he wanted to achieve and showing me some of his ideas. Mainly Bodyscapes using oil & Water using coloured gels which altered the mood of the lighting.

Great attitude and was cautious making sure i was comfortable at all times, During the shoot he pushed my body to its limits i defiantly needed my core strength to hold the poses.

After the studio shoot i had the opportunity to go Leeds and did some work at the Light Maze. Looking forward to seeing the images and would highly recommend working with Mike in the future.

Mike is a great photographer to work with. He's very respectful and cares highly about a model's safety and their comfort. He's not afraid to try different and unusual things, so if you're looking to add variety to your portfolio then he's definitely the photographer to work with.

I'm looking forward to working with him again, now that I'm local to Leeds, I'm sure there'll be plenty of opportunities in the future.

I shot with Micheal during a collaborative shoot along with Gary Brown and Jessica Foy. I just had to jump at this opportunity when I saw it advertise as I wanted something unique to my portfolio that I haven’t shot before. Micheal was very easy going and we had a great laugh! His directions were very clear throughout. The shoot went too fast and I’m sure we will work together again soon as Micheal is brilliant and a genuine guy who you can feel relaxed and at ease with.

Highly recommend! I can’t wait to create some awesome shots with you again in the not so distant future.

I worked with Micheal on a group shoot not so long ago, unfortunately due to arranged plans falling through it was a wing it kind of day and we didn’t get much time to shoot together but from what we did shoot I must say I very much enjoyed it, he’s laid back but focused on the job/shot in hand sets up for the shot well and is very precise about it which achieved amazing results! He’s definitely on my to work with again list! 😊

Would I recommend Michael?... of course I fricking would! Michael and I agreed on a collaboration and to be honest I was over the moon when he said he’d like to as his work is just so beautiful, artistic and oozes class!

Communications were on point, pre and post with a full understanding of what I was to expect from the shoot, including images and also the invitation to put my ideas into the mix for the shoot. Which I gladly welcomed!

Michael is very knowledgeable, understands the lighting concepts and immediately puts you at ease... doesn’t make a bad brew either. He made sure I was comfortable, refreshed and fully respected my privacy like a real gent when changing for the next set. I love Michaels honesty in when shooting a set and doesn’t feel an idea is working, he’ll say and move onto the next.. for a model the last thing you want back are images that you’re not confident in.

By the time I’d got home one image was waiting for me followed by two... three... four and five! Wow! All in the first day! Can’t wait to see the rest.. Thoroughly enjoyed working with Michael and I’d recommend anyone to get him booked as you won’t be disappointed! I’m already planning the next one ♥ :P

Had my first shoot with Mike yesterday.

He is a lovely guy, really pays attention to your comfort levels and respects you. When showing the raw images on camera, he ensures you like them and allows you to choose your favourites, I really appreciated the involvement of my opinion in this aspect.

He stayed professional throughout and had a good laugh, despite a light malfunction!

A genuinely great shoot and would love to do another :)

Had my first shoot with Michael yesterday evening, he’s a great photographer and host.

What a great shoot we had, he’s a really nice guy and was made to feel comfortable, Michael really respected my levels and we created some great images. We flew through so much in so little time and I really feel we nailed it.

The raw images on camera were great already- that tells it all!
