I had my first shoot at The Boardroom and it will not be my last. This studio boasts an amazing atmosphere and the support and communication are well above the norm.

I love this little studio! I attended the Lensmaidens meet here, and Phil made us all feel so comfortable - he truly is the host with the most!

The studio managed to fit over ten ladies (photographers, models and a designer!) and Phil in, and we were all snapping away, or throwing shapes, while Phil helped out, supervised, and made us all feel comfortable with hot and cold drinks and snacks.

Phil is so easy to talk to, and is great at reassuring those around him, and making people feel safe. If I could shoot in this space every day, I would!

Phil is in a whole new league of photographers... His abilities are absolutely outstanding.

He had about 1000 ideas before the shoot even began, which is always so good for me to hear. I loved all of them (especially the one lying down causing my brain to explode) :')

His attention to detail with the lighting is incredible and I learnt so much just watching him set up the lights...

He brought out completely different looks in me which is not an easy thing to do! I especially loved him doing portraits outside the box... getting me to get angry, which resulted in one of the most interesting images I've done to date!

Not only is Phil an extraordinary photographer and retoucher, but also a lovely person and so easy to get along with. The time just flew by.

His studio "the boardroom" is legendary too, one of my favourites I've worked in so far.

Highly recommended by me and I'm already looking forward to next time!

I really like The Boardroom. Accessible, Georgian professionality in an immaculate setting. Phil and colleagues are as ever most welcoming and helpful. Continuous lighting balanced with daylight (when visible) affords the white and black clarity we needed. Classic settings with ease, if required. The effortless access and equipment makes working at The Boardroom a pleasure, again.

Rapture Photography booked The Boardroom for a group of us to work with the extremely talented Sister of Sinister and Phil also got to shoot which I was so so happy about. This whole day was just a dream come true for me. I was turned into a sparkly snowqueen/Princess and it was just magical in every way.

During the day Phil made sure everyone was comfortable, happy and sorted the lighting which was just incredible. Having Phil's studio, his knowledge of lighting and him as a photographer there was just the icing on the cake for me. He is just a joy to work with and his enthusiasm throughout the day matched mine and we were buzzing. We worked well together and I hope we get to work together again. Thanks so much for everything Phil, you are awesome!

What a beautiful studio this is! This was my first time at The Boardroom, and it was with one of my favouite photographers and models, so of course I was going to have fun, but having Phil there, and being in this wonderful listed building, made it all the better.

Phil is a fantastic host, coming out the the car to see if we needed help with any bags, offering drinks immediately, showing us what was new in the studio, offering us snacks later in the day, makig sure we were ok and if we neeed anything further, and then even stopping traffic and guiding us out when we left.

I can't fault Phil and his Studio. It's clean, it's spacious, and it's different. The panelled walls make it stand out compared to other studios and the GREY walls mean that you can adapt the colour of the room to suit - Phil explained how much effort he put in to this! He is incredible! It's great for natural light because of the huge windows, but there is also lighting on hand.

Phil is a great guy: funny, caring, respectful and incredibly helpful. I honestly felt honoured to work here.

Thank you for your hospitality, Phil! Very highly recommended from me!

First time at The Boardroom a couple of weeks ago....Phil has created a perfect arena with his studio, 100% recommend you book in there. Phil pretty much just let's you get on with your own thing but also around to help out if and when needed.....nothing was too much trouble, great host, great studio, great vibe, endless potential. Book in with The Boardroom !!!

After meeting Phil at the Boardroom a few months back id really wanted to work with him. It finally happened! He was on board with my gruge ballerina idea, and we swapped ideas back and forth until shoot day.

Phil is so much fun to work with, very relaxed, knows exactly what hes doing, and has snacks !!

Its been a long time since i danced for more than an hour, and ive never been en pointe for more than 30 minutes so this shoot pushed me physically, Phil was happy for us to have little breaks whilst my body refreshed and was happy to keep going when i became stubborn and attempted a specific pose a solid 30 times whilst grunting in anger when i got it wrong ..

from what ive seen so far we have some amazing shots, but that wasnt anything i worried about anyway, Phils a wizard.

weve already got another idea in the works so im excited to work with him again!

Was an absolute privilege and pleasure to work with this amazingly creative cool dude :)

I met Phil when I was booked at the boardroom studio with another photographer I saw his work and immediately hoped we could create something together!

Pre communication was awesome! Phil and I swapped a few ideas around via Pinterest boards and mutually wanted an androgynous laid back vibe

You are instantly welcomed at Phil's studio with a cuppa or a coffee which always makes one feel more comfortable :)

We set to work on portraits to start which gave me an opportunity to loosen up more in front of the camera, Phil is very chilled but knows exactly what he wants offering helpful encouraging direction as you pose :)

Phil's eye for lighting truly blew me away I couldn't believe what I was seeing when he showed me what he had captured!

We changed it up with an open white shirt and black tie sort of a boyfriend's clothes vibe it was so fun to shoot and I'm in love with the photos!

Then a fedora hat got involved something I wouldn't of normally worn but definately looking for one online as we speak! The vibe was cool and I was feeling it.

We finished off with a metallic dress where Phil laid on the floor to get the full effect of my height!

Was truly one of my favourites shoots to date I cannot tell you how awesome Phil's creativity is you have to come and see for yourself!

I recommend this dude to any model!

I arranged a short shoot with Alexandra McCue when she was there for her studio day. As I was very nervous I asked Phil if he could assist with lighting and as it was a self shot duo shoot to help me focus the camera. He was an absolute star! He helped with everything I needed and helped me to stay calm too.

I love working at this studio be it photographer, model or both. Always highly recommended from me. Thanks Phil! Thanks to Rebecca too for all her help and camomile tea :) x

A visit before for a workshop I had not shot at The Boardroom. Delighted, all were graciously inviting and everything you can want. Phil and Rebecca were warm in personality and obliging. Miss AF McCue was on a studio day. I took 4 hours. For access, location, decor, clean like no studio normally ever is, Georgian curiosity and bountiful light I am in awe. A pearl.

Another fabulous shoot at The Boardroom with Gary Stuart as the photographer.

It was really great to use the bed as I hadn't used that before so was really good. Phil helped with all the lighting and with any issues Gary had he was there for any guidence that was needed. He even gave us a lolly pop for a prop to use which I was happy about ;)

I was kept warm and made sure I had plenty of tea. Highly recommended from me and look forward to coming back real soon. Thanks Phil and Rebecca!

I was contacted by a photographer on my website to arrange a shoot but he didn't have any references so I suggested we work at The Boardroom as I feel safe there and am always looker after. We booked the shoot and I am so pleased we did. Phil looked after myself, the photographer and the Patrick Joseph clothing team and we felt really taken care of. He helped the photographer with lighting and he made sure I was warm enough. The tea in a flask was just perfect.

I adore working at this studio and it was my first choice when wanting to feel safe. Phil and Rebecca really know how to run a studio and I would highly recommend working here. Thanks guys!

My second visit to this amazing studio. The natural light and airy space is so versatile. I opted to use the continuous lighting which was superb. Phil was on hand to help where needed and an endless source of knowledge to help with my ideas. First attempts with gels on this visit with Phil’s advice and guidance.

Another session planned there next month.

Had the pleasure of finally getting to the Boardroom to shoot the beautiful Arabella. I had spoken to Phil before and seen many examples of great work shot there and I have to say that it exceeded all expectations.

With Phil on hand to help with the equipment, he really knows how to get the best out of the facilities he has at hand. His equipment is easy to use and the three hour shoot went very smoothly with some great results.

Highly recommended ... and I will be back!

Hired Phil’s studio for the first time on the recommendation of a model and wasn’t disappointed. Great communication and he was very friendly and helpful. The studio has loads of natural light and plenty of possibilities. I’m sure I’ll be back!

Had a shoot with another photographer at PHLY's boardroom studio today.

It is a really lovely space, lots of natural light but also other lights available. The stark white of the studio is beautiful, we created some amazing shots here.

Phil was nearby if we needed him and he was lovely enough to make us coffee and even provided us with a bowl of jaffa cakes ... it's the little things

Definitely recommend and I hope to work there again sometime

It was a pleasure to shoot with PHLY at his studio, the shoot went very smoothly, as the communication before the shoot was very efficient and PHLY could direct me through poses as well as allow me to pose freely.

He was kind enough to help take me trom the train station and back and also provided refreshments which wasn't necessary but was greatly appreciated.

Overall we had a great, productive shoot, the studio is a great space, unique but also very versatile.

I reccomend anyone to shoot with PHLY and use the studio, I hope to visit there again soon.

I recently had a wonderful shoot with Phil and would definitely recommend!

The shoot flowed very well with Phil adding his own style and creativity to the shots.

Not only is Phil a great photographer but open to helping me learn and help me develop as a model. He is a very polite and friendly as well as making you feel comfortable the second you step foot into his studio. Really impressed with the images and I very much look forward to shooting again soon.

Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend at all!

FINALLY got back to the beautiful Boardroom for a tutorial session yesterday and as usual, everything was spot on.

The building itself is a photographers dream with high ceilings, soft light and wide open spaces and Phil is a total legend, making sure we were supplied with refreshments and offering assistance with the transportation of Larry ladder and lesser Larry ladder as well as just being lovely as always.

I love working here as it always has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and really gives you the space to spread your creative wings!
