Today as the studio we told the story of Charles Lightoller, the sailor who was once shipwrecked on an island for several days and was rescued by a passing ship.
He went on to become the first officer on the Titanic (and survived) and during WWII he was responsible for saving the lives of several British soldiers stranded at Dunkirk.
He lived an incredible life at sea.
