I met Derek for the first time last week on the photographic holiday to Portugal, and despite him arriving late into the first session (and me unfortunately being covered in bites for our first ever meet!!) he was laid back and chill and fit straight into the day without any fuss.

He made a great addition to the group and it was really lovely working with him for the first time and getting to know him.

He is so lovely and down to earth, and looks after you at all times/making sure you are happy and comfortable.

I got on with him well from the moment he used my childhood nickname of smidge that no one else has ever called me haha! It was something to instantly bond over and from that moment we got on like a house on fire!

Would happily recommend him and hope to see him on my photographic holiday next year!!

Derek owns a phenomenal studio and really knows his stuff behind the camera. He gives very helpful direction and its very encouraging, produces amazing images. Would definitely recommend.

Derek booked onto the (first ever) Luxury Portugal trip we hosted last week. I couldn't have asked for a better group of photographers to come out with us!

Sadly, Derek couldn't get out to Portugal on the evening everyone else did- but he arrived as cool as a cucumber the next day and fitted right into the group instantly despite his flight being delayed.

Derek has to be one of the most chilled out photographers I have ever met, nothing puts him up nor down and I can't thank him enough for being so laid back during the trip!

We got some amazing images and had a lot of fun in the process. I can't wait to see the images and hopefully have Derek on any future events that get hosted. Thank you, Derek. :)

As always shooting with Derek was lots of fun! We always end up playing around and just having lots of fun! We did take the most part of the shoot very seriously and did a great range of shots!

We went to a beautiful lake, and Derek brought me a parachute dress, which was lots of fun! He is very creative with his shots and what he produced was lovely!

He always made sure I was happy and comfortable at all times!

I then ventured into the lake, and Derek's shots made it very worthwhile getting a bit dirty as they were very beautiful! He is very quick when shooting, no messing around, which is needed in a situation like that! He also kindly picked me up and dropped me off where I needed to be which is a huge help!

A great guy to work with - very funny, and very easy to talk to. Highly recommended

Derek started off on the right foot straight away by collecting me in such luxury! The sun was shining and it was a very happy shoot. We chatted away and took loads of shots... he had some fantastic ideas and we also shared some as we went along... a really enjoyable shoot and WOW! I love the shot so far! Amazing. Very flattered. Certainly highly recommended.

I worked with Derek for a couple of hours on my studio day at Fine and Dandy. We had a great little shoot and fitted a lot into the time we had.

Derek was easy to work with, friendly and chatty with lots of ideas of his own. He was also happy for me to have an input too :)

Derek will be joining me out in Portugal next month and I am really looking forward to it! See you soon :)

Well, what a time I had with Derek!! On my recent London Tour I had a cancellation so had originated a very last min shoot with Detek, which was quite difficult as we were trying to organise whilst both on other shoots, but hey all worked out!

I met Derek at a studio in London where he was on an organised group shoot with lots of other models, great designers and 3 other photographers - he wasn't quite finished his shoot, and suggested I joined in! I jumped at the chance as I got to wear a fabulous dress and have lots of fun with it! Derek was very kind and also let the other photographers take images of me.

Then we drove to his studio in Guildford, and we had a very varied shoot there where we tried lots of different things , from arty to very cheesy! It was much fun! Then Derek kindly drove me to the station and waited with me til I got on the train.

Derek himself is fabulous! I felt like I had known him for years, he is very easy to talk to and very kind hearted- and a good laugh too! He made sure I was comfortable at all times and was very respectful! He has a great knowledge of lighting and I am very excited to see what he does with the images as his ideas sounded great!! Really hope to shoot with Derek again! Highly recommend!

Derek communicated well before our shoot, he was even able to reschedule when the weather was not in our favour! During the shoot, he gave clear direction but also allowed me to use my own poses. I was given plenty of time to change outfits and retouch make-up. The studio was very comfortable to work in too. I'm really glad we had the opportunity to collaborate together and I'd happily work with Derek again.

It was lovely to work with Derek again. He is very welcoming and super friendly and really make sure you are comfortable in every shoot! We went to a really nice indoor location as weather was no so great and the ideas he had sounds fantastic and I am sure the results are superb as well! I would highly recommend Derek and would work with him again.

Could well be the pinnacle of my modelling career! Time will tell - but in any case I highly recommend Derek if you want an extremely friendly and professional photographer. Derek has a fabulous studio he works from in glorious surroundings and was such a pleasure to work in. He is marvellous at direction and very encouraging. I felt completely at ease and relaxed very quickly. Look forward to seeing the results and just hope I did him justice to his wonderful creativity.

I had the pleasure of working with Derek today for the first time. Great communication before shoot, locations set and I knew exactly what to bring.

What a lovely guy. Derek was welcoming, made me feel at ease straight away, great direction but also let me try my own things.

My first ever urbex shoot was great. Got straight in and bearing in mind it was a bit chilly, Derek was on hand with the jumpers!

All in all a fantastic first shoot with loads of different styles for my port.

Highly recommended!!

yet another amazing shoot with derek!! we explored some beautiful locations, he allows me to pose freely whilst giving clear and easy to understand directions, we had a fabulous day and i must say he is by far one of my favorite photographers to work with!!! he puts me at ease and i always feel comfortable, he has many creative ideas and sure does know what he is doing!! we've worked together many times and im hoping many more to come!! cannot recomend this man enough he is easy to get along with and you sure do have a laugh whilst shooting!!!

Cannot wait to see what lovely photos have come from today! knowing his talent they will be spot on! xx

I had a lovely shoot with Derek a few days ago. Communication before the shoot was superb. He was open and happy to hear any and all ideas for the shoot. Upon arrival he picked myself and my partner up. We went straight to his studio and created some amazing images together. We all got along great, talking all day and even going out for lunch before he dropped us off at the station. I really enjoyed my shoot with Derek he is such a lovely guy. So nice and laid back, lets you do your thing. He even has some amazing props to add to the set which is great for models that area traveling from abroad and can't bring loads of things. I was very pleased with the images. Can't wait to work with him again. I would recommend Derek 101%.

I worked with Derek for the first time at the end of 2015 and had a fantastic shoot! Communications were great from start to finish and when he collected me from the station I knew that the shoot would be great I instantly felt at ease and Derek was so easy to get along with!

Derek was so caring and kind as we were shooting my bump, when I arrived I had some nasty backache and Derek was very patient and let me have a rest and made me a cup of tea and provided biscuits! He is so professional and so respectful and very easy to work with! He very kindly picked me up from the station and took me back too! The time flew by and overall the shoot was very very enjoyable!

I would 200% recommend Derek he is a great photographer, professional and has a great studio to work from! Hope I didn't drive you too mad with my chatting! Hope I can work with Derek again when I return from having my baby! Thank you Derek!
