Finally! I got to work with Richard Egan! I’ve been following Richards work for quite some time now, so I was absolutely thrilled to bits when he wanted to book with me. Richard is so so creative and his attention to detail before he’s even clicked the shutter is amazing! A truely wonderful creative photographer and gentleman. I’m bowled over by the images I’ve seen appearing already! Richards lighting is seamlessly beautiful and he really goes that extra mile to nail that perfect shot. This is the type of photographer I live working with, one that doesn’t speed through and takes millions of countless shots... but one who is a dedicated perfectionist and cares about every shot he takes.

Although Richards work speaks volumes for itself, it goes without saying that I highly recommend Richard to models of all levels. A true artist with real craftsmanship.

Well, what can I say.

I always admired Richard's work and was hoping for such a long time to work with him and finally he asked me.

Yep, he asked me to work with him and I was overwhelmed.

What an amazing photographer, and not just a photographer but an amazing soul.

The images we produced are so beautiful.

I finally got to shoot with this amazing photographer, at YorkPhotoStudio over the weekend - Richard has an absolutely epic way around his camera, setting up the lighting ever so beautifully with the ideas that he'd brought along to the shoot!

A knowledgeable and really thoughtful photographer, he is an absolute joy to work with, his passion and experience really shines through and the back of camera looked amazing! I can't recommend this epic fellow enough to everyone!

Well, Its no secret that Richard is one of my favourite photographers EVER! If only we could work together every week! That would be amazing! Our most recent shot was one at The Hacienda in London.

It is very hard for me to express just how great Richard is. I am so honoured to be part of his photographic journey and its been amazing building a relationship with him over the past three years! We are a great creative team and I am so proud of that.

Organisation Richard goes of of his way to make our shoots as easy for me as possible. Weather that be planning the journey, picking Mme up, woking around my schedule - whatever he can, he will do. Richard plans his shoots well and always has backups.

Though sometimes the backups mean ‘stay in bed’ as on our most recent trip, we were going to get up at 4am to shoot at a public place, but we were rained off, so Richard text ‘stay in bed - too much rain, will call later’ before I set off to meet him! It was okay though as we had a studio shoot later in the day.

Personality - He’s not as funny as he thinks he is but boy does he make me laugh! He really does. He is also the most thoughtful person I know ! So kind and caring. Very passionate about his photography and such a great person to be around.

Creativity - Richard is full of it! He has a wonderful eye for shots and he always pushes himself and his imagination as much as he can as to get the best shots possible! Always looking for new or different compositions!

Technical - Well, some call him The Lighting God. Richard is VERY good as limiting light and controlling it. He is brilliant at seeing and using light, so that we get the best image possible! His compositions are always beautiful and he rarely has to do much in post as far as composition goes. He gets some beautiful and interesting shots. I love how he is always trying different angles and heights etc, to try and get something different. I also love his editing! Richard has such a beautiful style of editing! His images feel timeless.

I couldn’t ask for a better photographer to work with! We make each other better, and for that, I am so grateful!

On our most recent shoot at The Hacienda, we worked as a team to get the very best out of the location. Richard really focused on getting the light just so and he nailed it! The shots are beautiful and I am so proud to be in them.

Well after admiring Richards work for a long time I finally got to shoot with the legend himself! What an awesome shoot, one of my favourites so far. Richard is a brilliant photographer who clearly knows his stuff! But not only that he's a kind, caring individual who was an absolute pleasure to spend my time with. What a lovely man! I attended one of Richards lighting masterclasses with Nicole Rayner modelling..

for this reference, I'll solely comment about Rich as I've left Nicole a reference on her page (shes great btw)

First time I'd met Richard was on this course, but hes a very down to earth casual guy..... One you can have a laugh with... certainly very very easy to work with....

Worked with various lighting setups, explained pros and cons in layman's terms.. I came away with some extra knowledge and had a good afternoons shooting...

Richards work speaks for itself, It's good to learn from somebody whos work is knocking the ball out of the park.. Cheers Richard.

Well....I probably should write another reference otherwise people may think he's paying me to write such good ones, but it was yet another amazing shoot with Mr Egan I couldn't not write one as this time we were doing something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT to what we normally shoot!

We went to the unicorn palace to shoot which was a 4 hour journey for us both - but well worth it! Richard wanted to experiment a bit and do some shots which were a bit brighter, included a bit of colour and were also more on the sexy side, as normally our work consists of classical or creative nude work!

I was super impressed with Richards shots on the day if the shoot - although he was totally out of his comfort zone he worked so hard to get the right angles and make the most out of the location!!

Richard listened to any suggestions I had and together we created some great shots - which I am VERY proud to be part of!

Not to mention how much fun we had together :)

I am just very lucky to get to work with Richard so much! Much of my growth in confidence as a model has come from working with Richard. Thank you for making me look and feel like a great model!

Well, its no secret that Mr Egan and I shoot a lot (Hence why I haven't left a reference in a while as I was beginning to take over his references!) I am lucky enough to work with Richard on a regular basis and he is by far one of my favourite photographers!

I really must stress how lucky I feel to be photographed by him! He is one of the most considerate photographers ever! He tries so hard to make sure his model is happy - comfortable and safe!! (I often ignore him and end up trying things a little unsafe and I get very told off afterwards - though the shots are almost always worth it!) He always makes sure I'm fed and watered, as warm as possible and is happy not to shoot - if I'm not happy with a location or if I'm too cold and need to stop! Though it very rarely comes to that as Richard and I don't need long to get the shots!

Richard and I have shot so many times now - our relationship only gets better as do our shots! I know what he likes and he knows what I can do! Though together we encourage each other to produce our best work and be the best creative versions of ourselves, which is why we are the perfect team and why we continue to grow!

I feel comfortable trying new poses as I know that if it doesn't look good Richard won't use it - and he tries new angles and new genres with me as he knows I trust his judgement and skills!

What I love most about Richard is that he always makes me feel and look beautiful! He pays attention to what I like or don't like about myself - and if I have a comment about an image he listens to it- which means that I am always super proud of every shot because I feel Richards shots always show me at my best! :D

Oh...and lets not forget one of the most important details, which is how much FUN we have on shoots! :D There is always lots of laughing (a few arguments from time to time) but always laughs and fun!

I think Richards work speaks for itself and I think any model is Lucky to shoot with him!

I've been wanting to shoot with Richard for a long time and I felt honoured when I finally did! We shot in a beautiful hotel in York with lots of gorgeous features and Windows which was perfect for art nude!

Richard gave me clear directions but gave me the freedom to pose how I liked. He shown me the pictures from the back of the camera and they looked stunning! I'm very happy with what we produced. Very excited to see the final result! We worked very well together and I will no doubt be working with him again in the near future!

It was such a delight to finally get a chance to work with Richard when he was down in London, he rented the beautiful Beltcraft studio which was a fantastic backdrop to what we went on to create.

Richard's Pre communication was excellent the shoot was very relaxed and productive which lead to some very beautiful shots, I hope I will get a chance to work with Richard again in the future.

Delighted to have worked with the legendary Richard Egan of York. Even though we were up at 6:30am with lots of laughs and energy we were able to slay the morning with some great images!

Richard is absolutely hilarious and guaranteed to make you laugh, he is very clear in what he wants to achieve and together we worked hard to et 'The shot@ - which truly was worth it :)

I was lucky enough to visit some fabulous locations and castle ruins, much to my athletic nude enjoyment, posing in the archways etc.

Richard is very cautious of models safety and will always make sure you feel happy and comfortable.

After the shoot we went for possibly the best bacon and egg breakfast ever!

I joined a masterclass run by Richard and it was a great way to learn more about lighting. From how Richard explains the techniques to how he and Nicole react to each other, the whole three hours where first class.

For any of my questions that he could not answer (out of his usual field for example), he knew someone who could help me or where to look to get the answers.

Anyone looking to improve or refresh their knowledge of lighting would struggle to find a better way to do so than with Richard.

Richard came in on a group shoot we had been able to accommodate after their venue cancelled last minute.

Richard is a great photographer wo worked well and respectfully with all the models and the other photographers.

We fully recommend him and look forward to welcoming him back into the studio

I attended a lighting master class, run by Richard, and modelled by Nicole Rayner. The tutorial was run on a very professional basis, with much detail on lighting basics, explained very well. Richard was able to answer all my questions, and suggested many things that I will be able to take away and use at a later date.

Although I do have some experience with lighting, it was good to get back to basics, and still come away with new ideas, and the knowledge that lighting does not have to be 'that' difficult.

The model for the day Nicole Rayner, lifted the session with her professionalism and high sense of humour. If you get the chance to attend one of these workshops, I can highly recommend it. Suitable for both the novice, and the more experienced photographer. Nicole and Richard will make all feel comfortable and relaxed.

Give it a go... you have nothing to lose, and a lot to gain from their combined experience.

I worked with Richard for the first time at a great group shoot in Northampton. We had the chance to shoot both solo and duo with another model.

Richard was very professional, friendly and creative. He is very funny and entertaining which really made the shoot a lot more fun. Richard strived to get the best shots and even went up in the air in a harness to do so. He gave good direction and was also happy to let me pose freely.

The whole shoot was very creative and productive, I look forward to seeing the finished images.

I would definitely work with Richard again and highly recommend.

Laugh Out Loud Guy !!.

He is f**k**g hilarious this dude is so much fun to be around and work with. what a great day he made it great banter and whit.

Anyways. I had the privilege to work with Richard as apart of a studio group shoot day where i was the male model to model alongside to lovely ladys as well as solo. This guy is extremely good at what he does, Great directional tips, Lets you be expressive and creative...

Always one step ahead with an idea.

Made me feel relaxed comfortable and confident to do the job i had to do. For ever the most professional.

You need to work with him. You will have a laugh and get some great images. Highly recommended to all.

What more do you really want from it really.

I loved working with Richard at a beautiful hotel in York recently. He shoots calendars for charity, having a very clear idea of what he wanted made it very easy to create stunning images. He has shot at this particular location before, which again made things go very smoothly as he knew what worked and where. His style and mastery of natural light nudes fit perfectly with my own style of modelling. I am very very pleased with the beautiful results and would not hesitate to recommend him to other models as a respectful photographer with a style that presents the female nude very tastefully and artistically.
