my shoot with Ricky at parklands studio was absolutely amazing from start to finish, I had the most incredible day! It was my first time meeting him and he made me feel comfortable and completely at ease from the start.

We created many beautiful images, Ricky is an extremely talented photographer who is also a true gentleman, professional and respectful at all times!

I am honoured to now call him a very dear friend and I look forward to our next shoot together.

Ricky is my favourite!.... can I leave it at something as simple as that?!.... we had a fantastic first shoot together at Parklands Studio and got some cracking images!... despite our terrible need for being chatty kathys of course! Ricky has fast become a solid friend of mine, one of the most kind and genuine people you could ever meet and he’s a flipping awesome photographer... he’s far too humble!

I can only apologise for my reference being as late as it is, but it is certainly very well deserved! We always have a laugh and the shoot just flies by sadly! I would always highly recommend Ricky to models of all levels as he is helpful and encouraging and will always work WITH you to get the best shots. I think it’s safe to say this won’t be our last shoot!

Ricky and I have been chatting about shooting on-and-off for years - I couldn’t believe it when he said how long exactly it had been! But; we finally pulled ourselves together and made it happen - my first shoot after the lockdown of 2020 had eased and you know what? It was bloomin’ wicked! :D What an incredible way to get back in the game after months of not being in front of a “real” camera haha!

The plan was to shoot on location in my neck of the woods - so Ricky entrusted me with site knowledge and had only really descriptions (and maybe the odd picture on my port) to go by. But I tell you what... He threw himself right into it with full enthusiasm/creative drive and readiness to smash it ensuring that we had the most lovely and productive shoot imaginable. :) As a photographer, I cannot praise him for how quick he adapts to the surroundings and snatches every opportunity to do the scene justice in a picture. Every challenge under the sun was thrown at this guy (the usual pitfalls and tests of location work) but he literally took it all with a pinch of salt and a camera full of stunning pictures plus a lot of nattering later: it was “virtual” high fives all round. :D

Now this shoot was a massive test: Ricky had started up shooting a bit before me - but we were basically newly back to shooting and mutually in very unknown territory evolving to the strange new way of working safely with the obvious state of affairs going on in the world. It meant I certainly had to alter the way I’d work as a model - even down to helping photographers with a hand to scramble over the crazy Yorkshire terrain through which I was dragging Ricky lol! I’m used to it/know the areas but I’m very conscious and normally insistent on making a fuss and helping people clamber to the locations... With the whole social distance thing, it was strange how all you had to obviously think to not do things like this from the safety perspective of the pandemic. Definitely a learning curve for myself for sure! But Ricky is just the most chillaxed and understanding human on the face of the earth: this made things a real breeze for working around the situation and still giving it our all with or without restrictions/limitations. :) The first challenge we had was that one of the prime locations we planned to use (normally deserted) was packed with people taking advantage of their new found freedom after lockdown. We didn’t even bother venturing down given the sheer number of cars so off we went to a *plan B* spot. Ricky, has highlighted earlier; just wonderfully understanding as can be. :)

From an imaginative point of view; Ricky just needs a mere moment before he’s literally pouring with ideas and visualising things. We were taking the words out of each other’s mouths sometimes with bouncing suggestions around - the two locations we nailed involved a woodland waterfall and an old abandoned mill (very different scope of possibilities) but the innovation was rocking around the clock at both sites and Ricky got well and truly into the flow of seeing the shot and then making it happen! :D No amount of battling with the varying light conditions or tackling the best angle stumped him; he slayed it like a pro! Up with the settings/down with the settings/ straddling a bloody derelict windowsill to take that composition from average to WOW! Oh this guy gets totally into the vibe and seriously puts his heart and soul into his work. It was very rewarding working with him and seeing the results coming in at this continuously prolific rate. He’s also notably versatile as a photographer too: like we went from artsy/nymph to glam to edgy rock n’ roll switching the looks up as per the set and Ricky produced cracking shot after cracking shot. :D

Goes without saying - this gent has a big heart. He’s the friendliest type of person imaginable and puts a phenomenal degree of effort into making the models he shoots with feel as comfortable as possible. In the pre-shoot communications I had already got this vibe off Ricky to be fair: he was reassuring and courteous in his emails so I was absolutely filled with confidence come the day of the shoot... And then the in-person cooperation just summed it all up and completely confirmed my initial predisposition. I felt 100% comfortable working with Ricky; he respected me in every sense with sublime etiquette. But we also gelled into a terrific social rapport with a great deal of ease too: laughing, chatting and bouncing off one another was the tone from the outset. :D A very fun 4 hours on top of being productive!

So yes: I absolutely recommend Ricky and would be delighted if we got the chance to shoot again in the future. :)

All I can say is WOW first time working with each other and we got on like a house on fire, he made me a cup of tea just the way I like it and his fun personality will get you into tears because how funny he was. His very professional and one of the open minded people I know. From the result his work was amazing can’t describe how proud I was I loved the way he worked and we couldn’t shut up ahaha 😂 he made me feel comfortable and made me feel at home. Couldn’t ask for a better photographer. I give him a 120% recommendation because his unique and would love to work with him every week.

What a fantastic shoot I had with Ricky.

I certainly stepped out of my comfort zone for this shoot and I’m really glad I did.

The images we created are just stunning.

We arrived at the studio, my case full off lingerie and the shoot just flowed.

We tried some new ideas with props and they were awesome.

Such a lovely guy, very professional.

Ricky works so hard to make sure we get the perfect shot and he never fails to produce amazing results.

It was a long time coming, but finally Ricky and I got to shoot!

This first time was brief, However I've worked with again since AND with Rickys natural ability to tap in to good social networks, we have got to talk so much more since. What can I say, the guy is nothing short then a legend and an absolutely sweetheart.

The edits from the images I'm seeing are just awesome, really brightens my day!

Had the pleasure of meeting Ricky at Chris conways group shoot recently and he introduced himself on arrival & made me feel comfortable straight away.

There’s never a dull moment with Ricky around. He Is an easy going guy, Livened up the group with his humour and personality. This shone more throughout the day and made everything more fun.

During the shoot he was respectful And considerate towards me and the other photographers.

The images I’ve seen I am really pleased with and you can see his talent for photography! We are currently planning our next shoot & im look forward to working With Ricky again!

Had my first shoot with Ricky yesterday and what can I say.

What a lovely guy. He picked up from like a gentleman and took me to parklands studio. Wow what a place. Great little studio and a stunning lake which was way to cold to get in.

I always like to bring more than needed as you never no.

Ricky definitely is a great photographer and person in all.

The images are fabulous I’m over the moon with them.

Ricky has replied to my casting call and I’m very happy he did.

He is a nice, friendly guy, very helpful, open to different ideas and very down to earth. Even we have been a bit limited by the time and space, he has managed to deliver a great result. I have received the proof of the images very quickly, what I find very impressive. He listens and he is able to take the best approach to make sure a model is happy with the final effect. It makes a great team work.

Ricky, thank you for all your effort and a great shoot. I’m guessing we need to take a trip to the lake when the Sun is going to visit the UK again :)

Ricky, Ricky, Ricky..... what a character you are!!

I’ve worked with Ricky on a couple of precious occasions and it’s known that he comes with a warning!! A good one though obvs but whenever Ricky joins us on an event we know there is going to be plenty of banter and laughs throughout! He has become a good friend so his lack of filter is welcomed and although there will undoubtably be banter throughout any event it’s all in very good taste and he is totally respectful towards me as the model and to his peers. You just can’t not have fun with him! Aside from this, he is one of the most genuine and helpful people I have come to meet in the industry. After spending a full day doing two events with me and Chris Conway he stayed on to help us pack everything up and wouldn’t let me carry anything down the 3 flights of stairs, I mean.... what a gent!! I hope to have the opportunity to work with him plenty more times in the future as he is a real asset to any shoot! He comes with the highest of recommendations from me. Book a shoot with Ricky and you are guaranteed fun, laughs and some awesome images! What’s not to love! Till the next time boyo 🙌😊

I had such a great shoot with Ricky yesterday! He arrived on time, with a warm welcome and I instantly knew we were going to have a great shoot.

Ricky is such a kind, caring person and really respects and looks after his models and the space he is shooting in. We had a great time shooting and having the odd chit chat. He frequently showed me back of cams so that I could see what I could improve on, and so that I was 100% happy with what we were shooting.

I definitely recommend him and hopefully he wants to work with me again!

This guy!!!! what a truly lovely individual Ricky was to meet and work with. Our Shoot was incredible although we talked for a lot of it! But in my eyes that just added to what we created in the end as Ricky's approach to get to know the models and help them relax definitely allowed my creative mind to flow at full capacity and create some of the best images/poses me and Tillie have to date :D

What an amazing guy this human is...

Having already been told by our mutual friend, I wasn't expecting any less but in fact he exceeded my expectations. :)

As genuine as you can get, as caring as you can get, what a refreshing change to be around someone so understanding and compassionate.

Ricky booked myself and Leon at NLS last weekend and having said we'd just kinda 'wing it' I am honestly gobsmacked at the images we got. Especially the one he uploaded on here of Leon holding me....wow! One of, if not THEE best image we've created together. And it couldn't have been done without Ricky being so relaxed because this certainly helps with feeling refreshed, energised and ready to push yourself, because you know you don't have to keep constantly posing, you know you can have a break if/when you need to which for me really makes me want to give it my absolute best!

We spent a lot of time chatting HOWEVER we still got EPIC images - so what does that tell you?

What can I say about working with Ricky! He’s such a lovely and caring guy, always thinking about the welfare of others. We’d been communicating for well over two years prior to our shoot and it was well worth the wait. He understood my levels clearly and we’d discussed a few ideas but decided on a go with the flow kinda shoot, Ricky had made me feel that comfortable that I’d decided to get in a icy cold lake at the end of September :o but I wasn’t alone.. Ricky got in too as he wasn’t prepared to ask a model to do what he wouldn’t do himself.

Ricky brought treats, drinks and towels for me post shoot and catered to all my needs. Respected my privacy and we got some awesome shots. Ricky was onto the editing before I’d even got home sending me Dropbox links to the images we’d captured, Ricky had provided me more than I’d expected and would highly recommended anyone to shoot with him... he’s a fabulous person both inside and out!

He's one of the most talented togs and complete gentlemen I've ever met.He's not only very respectful to his models but to the studio and it's equipment as well. First time shooting with Ricky at a studio evening at Parklands studio along side Joel Hicks the theme was Fire where I worked from lingerie up to nude with fur and then onto duo. Ricky created some brilliant shots and Hopfully some time soon we get to work with each other again.
