River Wren

Hi, I’m Wren, I’m a nonbinary model (they/them pronouns) with bases in West Midlands and South Yorkshire. I am also happy to travel further afield when money allows/if expenses are covered. Please note my availability isn’t always the best as I’m a full-time student, but I try to keep my calendar updated as best I can :)

Still relatively new so happy to do TFP shoots as I build my portfolio (but also won’t say no to paid work!).

Levels/boundaries

Currently I work up to portrait and fashion levels. I would potentially be open to lingerie/swimwear for the right shoot, but I just find it easier to draw the line at fashion for the time being.
I love doing location shoots and have no problems getting a bit dirty (or a lot dirty, if it doesn’t ruin the outfit for the rest of the shoot!) or climbing on things, in fact I often enjoy doing so :D (within reasonable limits of health and safety)

While I‘m happy to wear faux leather and love the aesthetic of it, please note I don’t feel comfortable wearing real leather/fur/other animal products.

Interests/themes

As an actor and certified theatre kid I particularly enjoy things that are more on the theatrical side (bold colours, alternative, gothic or fantasy based shoots, dance or anything artsy or cinematic), but open to virtually anything within my levels- any inquiries please don't hesitate to get in touch. 

Skills

Some of my potentially relevant skills include acting, dance (various styles including ballet, jazz and contemporary) and figure skating.

Chaperones

In general I am happy to attend shoots unattended, the only exception being 1-1 shoots in enclosed spaces (at someone’s house/hired hotel suites etc), or particularly remote locations (e.g. anywhere that doesn’t have easy public transport links/populated areas within a reasonable distance). While I understand that some element of ‘stranger danger’ is unavoidable, I don’t consider it unreasonable (or a personal insult towards the individual) to not have complete and utter trust in someone you’ve never met before.

In the scenarios mentioned I would either have a discussion about possibly bringing a chaperone (though this isn’t guaranteed as I may not always have one available), or having the initial shoots in safer locations to begin with. Any details would of course be discussed beforehand, and it may just be a case of having someone accompanying me for the initial meeting, or staying somewhere in the general vicinity but not within the shooting space itself. 

Response rate/general notes on messaging

I try to respond to messages within 1-2 days at the latest but every so often life and/or executive dysfunction may get in the way, so please don’t take it personally if I take longer getting back to you- it just means I want to give your message the full time and attention it deserves! (I do however prioritise time-sensitive messages, i.e. if we’ve scheduled a shoot together I’m not going to leave you hanging any longer than necessary)

Also, every so often I might reply or apply to casting calls at unsociable hours so please don’t be put off by odd timestamps… Up to a point I try to avoid it in case it weirds people out, but at the end of the day, if that’s when my brain feels most productive I might as well roll with it and get things done!

• His Dark Materials (the recent BBC adaptation)
• Natasha, Pierre and The Great Comet of 1812 (a bit niche, but I happen to own two costume pieces from the Broadway/off-Broadway productions so would love to do something based around those)
• Ghost Quartet (even more niche, but could make for some very pleasing aesthetics- think gothic/folky vibe, red roses, pearls, starry skies, cellos, subway trains, general eeriness)
