I am 47 at present, so started modelling late. I was persuaded by friends to send my picture off to a few companies which all came back positive.
Unfortunately, I have fibromyalgia and so am not able to walk much distance without crutches. During the shoots I have done so far I have had not problems moving around for a shoot, whether location or in a studio; may ask for help getting up a tree but am happy being up there 😊.
Because of my condition I am unable to work normal hours at present, so when I am able I like to make the most of my good days and prefer to organise a shoot in the afternoons.
The modelling I have done has been really enjoyable and have been given good references for my work on shoots and easy going nature.
In the last 6 years I have enjoyed some brilliant shoots and met some great photographers who have looked past my condition and helped me expand my portfolio and learn something new about modelling in every shoot I have done.
I love trying different ideas and styles as there is so much to learn to help myself and photographer achieve the best images possible.
I’m happy to work on a tfp basis most of the time depending on the assignment. I see modelling as a hobby, a confidence booster and a enjoyable experience that's given me some of my life back and look forward to working with some of you in the future.
