What an awesome shoot and day! Simon organised a studio day with 3 photographers and 6 models at The Natural Light Spaces and I am so pleased I applied for it as it was a really great experience.

Pre comms were exceptional and he really knew how to organise everything. He sent me a mood board of the ideas he had in mind and I was so excited to try to create the images with him. He was professional, chatty and great fun to work with. I especially loved working by the lift with gels with him. I highly recommend working with him! Thanks Simon!

Simon (resisted the temptation to call him Spooky Simon), Kindly invited me to a studio day he decided to run at NLS Northampton.

He attended my tutorial day a while back (personally I dont think he needs any help as his work is accomplished and slick) and guess he liked what he saw and asked me back to his own event and I will be eternally grateful.

We had batted about the idea of a multi model and photographer day after my event and Simon decided to do it.

Originally having 6 models and Simon, Myself and Jack Hobbs as photographers working with 3 models Am and 3 models Pm carousel shooting.

What an intense day it was and having just an hour or so with one model was both alien to me and challenging however I came away with some great stuff.

Simon blows me away with his enthusiasm and passion for the photography and his creative instincts which I personally struggle with so it's great to bounce around ideas and combine sets and looks.

We had a few laughs along the way and a super realxed atmosphere.

I always find I learn something working with other photograhers and I found a few nuggets on the day.

One model did not turn up (her Loss) but We still managed to share two models comfortably between the three of us and got some fab stuff. Simon is business like in his approach and comms were brilliant right to the kick off and it was a brilliant day.

I also got a free workout as the next day I ached from head to toe after all the shooting and using my trusty 70-200 brick most of the day but that's the sign of a great shoot.

Thanks Simon for asking me and 10- 10 till we do it again.

(only children of the 80's will appreciate that last comment).

I was delighted when Simon aka Spooky invited me to a photographers & model day to be held at Natural Light Spaces. We had spoken previously about images with a Coffee theme as this is something we both work on in our shoots as part of our style.

The plan was 3 photographers 6 models and a full days shooting TF work and I have to take my lens cap off to him he pulled it off in style...

On meeting Simon you can see why he managed to put it all together so well, he is such a nice guy and so easy to get along with and has a real love for his photography in all areas and just watching him work with the models you can tell how professional and natural he is with people

and the shots on the back of the camera tell this and looked amazing.

It was such a busy day it would have been great to jump in on one of his sets and pick up on some of his teaching skills I am sure I could learn a lot from Simon.

I do hope we can do it all again soon and we stay in touch.

I would recommend Simon to any model or photographer wishing to learn and build on their portfolio.

Simon has been liking my stuff for a while so it was not a surprise for him to jump on a one light course at NLS.

I found Simon a personable chap with a passion for creating great images and his enthusiasm during the group session was boundless.

Being more experienced than some of the others he never overpowerd the group and we covered of a lot of content.

He mixed well and got along with the others who were a great group of mixed ability and experience and no-one felt disadvantaged.

Etiquette was excellent as was his behaviour towards the model during the shoot and it was pleasure to be in his company and teach.

Highly Recommended.

Worked with Simon this weekend on a Halloween burlesque themed shoot.

Simon's pre-comms were very clear, and helped me to get a good idea of what he wanted from the shoot. He came well prepared with costumes and props, and had lots of creative ideas for the shoot! He had a good eye for the light, was easy to get along with, and the shots I've seen so far look great!

Definitely recommended, and I'm looking forward to shooting with Simon again!

I first met Simon at a Reading Social and I was then really pleased when he messaged me about a shoot. Excellent pre-shoot comms, he sent inspirational ideas across to, relating to his theme and explained everything clearly, so easily knew what to expect and be fully-prepared!

During the shoot at my home, he gave ideas, but let me pose freely, put up with my 'interesting' taste in music and hi warm, fridndly manner meant we had a fun shoot! I even got to keep a couple of the polaroids :D

Simon came to mine for a home shoot. He had an idea from a film and gave me a good idea of what he was looking for before we arranged it. He is very friendly and professional, he knew what he wanted and managed somehow to get some great results considering the limited space and lighting in my flat. I found working with him really fun, wasn't like any other shoot, was more like performing but in stills! Highly recommend working with him for new and experienced models.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Spooky at one of those dodgy PP social things ;) we had been chatting about a shoot on here so as we had actually met each other finally it seemed sill not to do a shoot. He travelled to mine, and brought biccy's ;)

He had asked if I fancied trying some no make up images, scary or what! ...But yes, i said i would be brave and shoot without my face on for the first time.

He was wonderful, really easy going, super fun to shoot with and the time absolutely flew by. We tried a getting ready set, from no make up to a finished style.

I had a brilliant morning shooting with Simon, only wish we had bit longer to keep capturing great images, highly recommended

So am back from shooting with the lovely Simon (or Spooks as I like to call him) on the beach this morning. He was fun to work with, managing to deal with my lack of sight and inability to stay awake admirably! He knew what he wanted to shoot and we found some beautiful light to me to emote on rocks in, before an outfit change and doing wench in the sea ;)

Spooks is enormously good company, his pre comms (when not affected by Cornish black spots!) are spot on and am really looking forward to see the images we created - they may well convince me that getting up at stupid o'clock is entirely worth it! Very happy to recommend working with him.

I had an awesome shoot with Simon yesterday. We decided we were both crazy enough to brave Richmond in the early hours of the morning to catch the beautiful light of dawn. Pre communications were excellent and with a boy scout mentality we packed what we needed to make ideas into stunning reality. It was really refreshing as Simon knew exactly the sort of shots he was after so it was easy to plan and have quick changes not to frighten the early morning dog walkers and joggers. Simon is also an incredibly talented photographer and even from just looking at the tiny camera screenshot the images were stunning!

Simon is very easy going, relaxed and incredibly good company which was perfect when we were stuck driving around London as all our previous routes had been cut off due to the madness that is cycle London. I loved shooting with someone so genuinely optimistic and I can't wait to work together again in the future. Thanks Simon!

I had a super shoot with Simon a couple of days ago at my place.

It was great to finally shoot after years of talking on and off- Simon was lovely to work with, enthusiastic, energetic and fun...and I love the results so far! He was organised- I knew what was expected of me, what styling and outfits were needed and what the 'story' was.

We got a lot done in the time and had a lot of fun. I hope I can work with Simon again one day! :)

I had the pleasure of meeting Simon on a lighting course I was running in the deep dark woods of lower Reading. As a fellow Fuji user I knew he would have a touch of class about him, and I was right, he was awesome, even when our model threw her glasses at him and hit him in the spleen. Simon was an asset to the group and really contributed to the day, which everyone enjoyed. I'd not hesitate to recommend Simon to any model and I'm sure he's an awesome wedding photographer.

I had the opportunity to shoot with Simon on Mikes light course.

I was extremely nervous, especially because this was my second time modelling for a course haha, but Simon without realising really helped me relax because he kept smiling :D and that gave me confidence.

He was a really lovely guy...apart from when he called me a midget (haha just joking he didn't really ;) )

He was also a very fun guy, especially when he played the theme song to Indian Jones haha that made me laugh so much.

Honestly Simon is an absolute joy to work and get to know and I definitely recommend him!

I had a shoot with Simon a few weeks ago now, and I cannot doubt him at all!

Despite terrible weather conditions, he still came up with some amazing ideas to get some amazing shots.

He was understanding, polite and a good laugh. He made sure I was always warm, never pushed for anymore than what we discussed and was just an absolute pleasure to work with :)
