References for The Apex Studio (Telford)

Had the opportunity to shoot at the The Apex Studio recently.

This Studio is a hidden gem for photographers in Shropshire and the West Midlands. Located in Wellington, Telford it is easily accessed from J6 of M54 and has ample parking.

The Apex Studio is well equipped with a number of studio backdrops on every wall space.

Trevor is a very knowledgeable photographer and happy to mentor.

I would be happy to recommend Trevor and his studio.

He always on hand, to help, very knowledgeable .

Really like the studio, it has great variety of backdrops and themes!

Trevor has fantastic lighting set up, well organised.

Had a shoot here today with the ever so brilliant Alastair.

As usual it's a nice warm welcoming environment with a safe space to change, has plenty of costumes, satisfied make up and ect encase you forget anything xD

I came to the studio again for a workshop recently and it was a pleasure as always! This time 'Modifier Madness'!

Trev always comes up with unique ideas for his workshops, he set everything up and let me know what to bring as per and it was a lovely night again.

Everyone was super friendly and easy to work with and i couldn't recommend the studio enough.

I'll be back again soon! :)

I did my first shoot at The Apex Studio the other day and was pleasantly surprised at the variety of sets available to use,

I found Trevor friendly, easy to get on with and very helpful with setting up the lights and arranging the sets I required,

The shoot was with Katy B on her studio day and with Trevors organisation I'm told the day went really well,

I would well recommend you visit the studio and I hope to go back again soon,

What a great day it was last Saturday at Apex studios!

I had a studio day planned, and we all know how hit or miss they can be!

I sold 4 hours and trevor took a couple hours at the end, too.

He greeted us with a smile and a lil tour of the studio, the temperature was spot on in there and it was clean and tidy. The dressing room was fully kitted out with bits of make up, hair sliders, a nice mirror set up so youre able to do easy make up changes and a load of outfits hung up to use if you wish.

The studio itself has to be one of the best kitted out studios for lighting that ive seen, i think you can do anything you can imagine in that studio with the amount of lights and options Trevor offers. He has so many colours of backdrops, loads of different sets all throughout, from super quirky to time campsule to a boudiour set lit beautifully with natural light by a big window.

Trevor was so helpful with the other photographers if they needed assistance with changing lighting or moving props for the next set. Trevor is really easy to talk to and has a great sense of humour which kept the spirits high throughout the day. He makes it clear model safety is paramount, hes tucked away at the back of the studio so isnt watching whilst we shoot, but hes just a call away if we needed any help/had any questions.

I honestly couldnt recommend this studio enough and will be arranging plans to come back this year, hopefully!

First visit to Apex and what a joy it was . . .

Great comms from Trev, and an equally fabulous welcome when I arrived.

My first visit was as part of KatyB's studio day and it was nothing short of a delight.

Great gear, fabulous spaces (including awesome natural light that I wasn't expecting), and laughs a plenty with Trev.

Apex is highly recommended and Trev is a star. I'll most definitely be back.

Highly recommended to all.

My first workshop day at Apex studio, An excellent studio, that is conveniently located and has a wide array of sets, props, backgrounds and some fantastic lighting equipment. 3 hour shoot this evening with many set changes, Trevor who runs it is such a nice guy too, and very knowledgeable, also his lovely mom Joan, welcoming with hot drinks, assistance with setting up the lights and demonstrating how the equipment works if you need any help. There is a separate changing room, and an area with a tea and coffee point if you need to take a break. Nothing is too much trouble, there's car parking.

Had a wonderful experience and thoroughly enjoyed my shoot

In Search of That Perfect Shot..............

This week was shooting Rose Beaman in a Debbie Harry/Blondie theme, Trevor had once again gone that extra mile to bring the whole theme together ensuring we all got the perfect shot. This attention to detail is what Apex and Trevor is all about, having the knowledge and resources to week in week out produce the perfect platform in which to work from, plus he's an extremely nice guy!!

It was my second shoot at Apex studio on Wednesday evening, but my first direct booking with Trevor. We decided to organise a Debbie Harry inspired group shoot with replicas of her iconic outfits, authentic styling, and the most amazing stage set created by Trevor. The end result was absolutely amazing, and everyone in attendance, including me, was blown away!

Pre-comms with Trevor were great; it’s very clear that he’s passionate about providing his attendees with the best possible photography experience. Authenticity is something that’s very important to me, and it was so lovely to find a kindred soul in that respect.

Trevor and his mum are the best hosts and I felt so incredibly well looked after. They constantly checked that I was comfortable and hydrated. Trevor’s mum even led me from set to set by the hand as I was wearing the most ridiculously platform heels! They were also so tuned in to their attendees and made sure that everyone was happy, physically and creatively, throughout.

Trevor’s lighting was perfect, and I haven’t seen a bad image from the shoot. Trevor took a couple of snaps for each set to check the lighting and composition and has been kind enough to edit and share those with me. I love them all!

I’d recommend the studio to other models and photographers a hundred times over, and I would love to work there again! Thanks Trevor and Mum ❤️

It was my second time shooting at a workshop held by apex studios and i loved it.

Trev always goes above and beyond with his sets and the communication before shooting is clear and informative. Just what a model needs to get a good understanding of what your shooting and how!

Will 100% recommend for workshops, to models or as a studio hire ! Lovely and warm, plenty of space. Its also very clean and clutter free compared to others i have been to with plenty of hot drinks with your safety put above all

I don’t have a studio so when I found Apex I was treated with the utmost kindness, I was offered to come in and view. On the shoot day Trevor was so good to me and all my models, he helped with lighting and gave us ideas of how to use specific lights to the mood or feel we were looking for.

Such a pleasure to be back at the Apex Studio!

I last visited about 6 months ago and since then, the studio has grown and improved incredibly, with several new sets. I thoroughly enjoyed modelling at the Wednesday night workshop this time, it was my first ever studio day and it was a great experience! All the photographers were absolutely lovely and the studio space, as always, was looking brilliant with amazing lighting setups too. Trevor is amazing at what he does and a fantastic photographer in his own right.

Highly recommend this studio to models and photographers alike!

I was able to organise a last minute shoot at Apex Studio, my first with Trev. The studio is packed with all the lighting, scenery and backdrops you could ever need. More importantly, Trev was on hand to take my vision and concept and help it turn into reality including using his MacGyver skills to create templates for the GOBO light and figure out how to get some of the props in view and properly lit.

Trev was instrumental in turning an impromptu shoot into a fun, creative and highly rewarding experience. I left the studio with more knowledge, confidence and immense satisfaction at the outcomes of the shoot.

This will be my midweek local studio for the next year and I hope to use it as often as I can.

Had the great pleasure to met again Trev and work at his Apex Studio for Wednesday evening group shoot.

The studio is a fantastic space, spacious and well equipped.

Two set up were ready to create a painterly style and a figure nude/shape style with high key lights.

Trev as a studio owner is amazing. Super welcoming, organized and very helpful. He was ready to help participants with lights, camera set up etc which it make a perfect place if you want to learn more and improve your photographic skills. He was attentive that everything was running smooth and conscious of time.

Trev is a talented photographer himself, I only shot with his to test the light and even the 2 shots he took look brilliant!

I highly recommend Apex Studio.
