References for Vonnie

After far too long a delay I asked Vonnie to model for me again at J9, an ideal close by studio, last weekend.

As before it was a fantastic session with Vonnie’s photographic, modelling and creative skills bringing my outline ideas into fruition. And great fun throughout , but without wasting a moment .

As models who have worked with me know, I have a fair sized collection of outfits- but Vonnie brought along some lovely dresses etc. So it was her suitcase not mine which got raided.

Just as I did last time I promised I would not be pushing my trademark retro undies shots. Knowing I am a man of my word , she was able to relax into some great posing

A delightful model to work with. Thoroughly recommended.

Having worked with Vonnie a few months ago I booked her for a small group shoot with a few photographers from my local camera club who want to get studio experience. They are not PurplePorters and this time I wasn't a photographer. I took a back seat with the studio owner just ensuring things went smoothly.

And they certainly did. Vonnie worked enthusiastically for almost three hours, ensuring everyone got some great shots, regardless of their experience, relaxing the more 'nervous' and having a great giggle and fun all round.

Four different outfits, including a lovely family heirloom dress, all changing done lightning fast.

That was last evening and I am already getting appreciative emails. (As they are not on PP they do not have direct contact with Vonnie).

Despite being a professional photographer herself Vonnie was so impressed with their work (they are experienced club photogrpahers after all) she hopes to get copies from them.

Brilliant - thoroughly recommended.

J9 Studios

Veronika graced our studios today for the first time, and was the muse for local photographer Orpentog, and his collection of vintage fineries.

Veronika is an absolute joy to be around, and the shoot from start 'til finish was a lot of fun. I think there were a good handful of sets, and they all went smoothly with Veronika nailing everything. John, seemed extremely happy with the images he was getting, and they worked really well together.

As a pro photographer herself, Veronika's knowledge of how to work a studio was invaluable, and the poses flowed effortlessly... She worked tirelessly with John to get the poses they wanted.

We hope Veronika enjoyed her time at the studio, and can't wait to have her back. Thoroughly recommended!

I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to work with Veronika today, and she was awesome. A real bubbly personality, with a photographer's eye for detail.

Veronika's main shoot was with Orpentog, but John very kindly allowed me to grab my camera and spend some time with her. She poses well on her own, and takes direction well, so you're always guaranteed to get quality shots. I was very happy with the shots I took, and I know John was with his.

Totally recommended, and look forward to working with her again in the future.

"I am quite new to modelling.." says Vonnie. Well, you wouldn't believe it. Her work as a photographer (involving relaxing, posing and photo'ing clients to a tight brief) clearly helps. But Vonnie is also a natural, catching the germ of my ideas in expressions and poses. All the while nipping around helping set the lights in some ways which were new to me and, just the once, new to her.

I had re-assured Vonnie we wouldn't be doing any of my slightly harder-edged nylons etc. shots and I think she quickly realised I am a man of my word. So we immediately had a relaxed rapport going which helped her deliver several hours of really hard work.

Vonnie brought some great outfits and accessories based on our pre-shoot comms - a light-catching metallic-sheen number was first in the frame. No surprise to me that she was then smitten by a colourful dress and a vintage dress (coupled with vintage style nylons) I had brought along. All modelled beautifully and stylishly.
