I had another shoot with Alan, a location one today. Communication before the shoot was great, we agreed on styles, place and date. Alan came on time, with all the equipment, even brought props with him. He's very professional, creative, very friendly and lovely to work with. I had amazing time and time just flew by! I loved every minute of this shoot and cannot recommend Alan enough! Thank you, Alan, I would love to shoot with you again :D

I had a shoot with Al the other day and what a fab, fun experience it was.

I think probably one of the most enjoyable shoots I've ever done. I was running a bit behind but it didn't faze him in the slightest. When I finally got there, I got a lovely, warm welcome. I was a bit nervous for some reason and I think it showed to start with but you can't be nervous with Al for long. He's just too chilled and laid back and easy going and it didn't take me long at all to feel totally comfortable and at ease. Al is the perfect host, very conscious of my needs, making sure I had plenty of time to sit down and rest and provided me with drinks and even offered me biscuits which is a first for me! His studio is absolutely fab, really well kitted out. I was very impressed with the whole set up and I think we got some amazing shots. Al really is a very talented photographer and you can see and feel the energy and enthusiasm he puts into his shoots and its great.

I normally only do 2 hour shoots but I think ours ended up being about 5 hours because we were having so much fun. I didnt even notice the time!

I really hope that I get to shoot with Al some more because it is an honour to shoot with him.

This was my second shoot with Alan and yet again It was amazing ! It was my first time doing a duo shoot which I did with Ellie mae this was organised by Alan in which he did to help me learn from a massively talented model and too get some great pics also ! This was Alan’s first duo shoot a lot but hopefully more to come as he is extremely good at what he does we also played with a smoke machine , lasers and so much more ! Can’t wait to shoot again soon ! I will always recommend Alan as a photographer and I can’t thank him enough for how much he’s helped me in my modeling journey with his ideas , experience and help in boosting my confidence in shoots , if your thinking of shooting with Alan what are you waiting for get booked !!

And another corker of a shoot with Alan bites the dust/in the bag/well and truly nailed! :D

I’ve shot with Alan in all manner of locations now, but this time we returned to his which posed as the perfect place to execute some beautiful conceptual work inspired by the 1920’s era. :) Alan was; as usual utterly brilliant with his communications, but particularly on-the-ball and well organised for this shoot as he picked out and supplied the main outfit which couldn’t have been a better choice if myself or anyone else could have recommended a dress! Absolutely immense credit to this dude on styling skills! ;) We also planned a few other concepts to tackle on the day which as usual - saw us running out of time long before we ran out of ideas/inspiration. :D That’s What makes it such a blast shooting with this fantastic creative because every session we do/have done has had something a little (or a lot) different to last time and it’s like a bug when you get into the swing of bouncing ideas off each other in the early stages: the excitement literally starts before you even start making the photos in the way of throwing creative suggestions around that have grown off a single foundation idea (or even just grown out of nowhere which we have a tendency to do when we shoot together as well!) :P

So when I arrived at Alan’s home ready for the shoot in question; it was business as usual with his kind and attentive nature ensuring that the kettle was on and snacks where available with a fabulously fabulous atmosphere before we even thought about getting cracked on. I’ve probably said it a gazillion times up to now, but I’m going to say it again nonetheless: Alan is, hands-down, the most easy-going and courteous photographer that is in existence! His prime aim is always to make the model feel as relaxed and happy as can be; and the productively harmonious teamwork flow is then guaranteed to fall nicely into place as you get started with a chilled and positive head after your journey/prep. He goes about everything so spot on, and I can’t stress enough how positive a vibe this always injects into every shoot. :) He’s the very example of professional in his approach and conduct, so friendly and easy to chat to/have a good old giggle with (we normally go for the national chatterbox championships while we’re at it: two birds one stone and all that! :P) And quite frankly: at this stage I must really be starting to sound like a broken record because I just recommend him again and again and again! :’) But its the truth, and any model that may be due to shoot with Alan really can anticipate a lovely shooting experience.

Creatively, Alan is just full of inspiration. It’s a true breath of fresh air being able to jump straight into a whole array of mad, ingenious and fun ideas that Alan can just think up off the top of his head - as well as pre-planning concepts too. So we had the lavish 1920‘s images slayed in no time at all; Alan was his usual innovative self working different angles and balancing the gorgeous natural light at his place to carefully to each shot justice. He really thought carefully about the set as a whole and introduced props and background material that further enhanced the whole picture. His eye for the moment is seriously astounding that way, and I cannot give enough credit for how much he thinks outside the box. :D We then executes some legendary shots on his garage with more of a “studio-style” setup in terms of the lighting, but still running of the same inspiration to make use of the background and environment etc. Wicked - totally wicked! You had to have been there to see some of the ideas that were rolling about the place (and often belly-laughs as a result!) :P

He’s just an all-round star of the highest order and such a wonderful human to work with. Looking forward to the next shoot is always something to get super buzzing about!

I had a shoot with Alan on Sunday and to say the least he was amazing !! We did a fruit inspired shoot at my home , in which he traveled too and brought all of the equipment needed which resulted in some AMAZING pictures , Alan was extremely professional through out making me feel comfortable, confident and giving me some really helpful advise on how to excel in my modeling career also. We used a mixture of our ideas and with this and Alan’s great photography skills the pictures iv seen so far are really fab! I can’t wait to shoot some more shoots soon where I will travel to him as he’s definitely worth the journey ! Can’t wait to see all the

I had a shoot today with Alan at Yorkshire Sculpture Park, it was our first time working together and I hope it isn't our last!

Pre shoot communication was fantastic and Alan was so kind right from the start of the shoot. The sculpture park is a beautiful but challenging place to shoot in but Alan had gone to scope it out prior to our shoot so it meant he had all of the best spots in mind!

Would highly recommend working with him, loved the back of the camera stuff and can't wait to see the final images

Wooooo! Our first photo shoot on location, and it couldn’t have been better! :D Alan picked an utterly wondrous site for us to work from and really thought it through in terms of creative options and even assembling props to suit the various features of the location. He’s such an ingeniously passionate creative mind: and this really shows from the planning and execution of his shoots. Of course once we got there: ideas were flying around left-right-and-centre so it’s a shoot we could easily revisit and churn out a completely different level of innovation and another batch of unique epic images. :D

I’d actually included the day to be part of a Northern mini-tour so Alan was so accommodating and took this into account as we we were in the chatting and organising stages of the shoot... We met at the location, which: although new to me, Alan gave brilliant instructions for and then we were able to get set for some of our crazy ideas including hiking with old chairs into the forest! :P But that’s the level of brilliance shooting with Alan just has: a completely unconventional thought just turns into something fabulously awesome... The first shots of the day were safely in the camera and literally after the first hour, vibes were buzzing. But an extended walk around our location brought so many more lovely shot opportunities - and Alan, as the usual patient and positively driven person that he is, took on all manner of crazy light which was dancing in and out of the clouds, beaming through old stone ruin windows - you name it! Also improvising with next-level visual brain power, Alan created the most atmospheric effects by also using the environment with controlled lighting too which injected luscious mood into so many of the pictures we created. Genuinely: what an eye and a technical noggin of determination Alan has for his art! Obviously the pictures in the back of the camera were scorching... :P

The superb fun and bliss etiquette was just the same as before: non-stop nattering and catch-ups about all sorts! A truly pleasant (and highly valued) teamwork rapport with the highest levels of professionalism making the whole session just the epitome of how a shoot should be! Alan is a gentleman through-and-though and the kindest Soul any model could meet... He works at a non-rushes pace, encouraging beaks when needed and was extremely well prepped for location work and the extra challenges it does often represent.

MEGA!! Literally balancing on old furniture in the woods doning a vase of fairy dust mega! :P

Alan is such a respectful person who treats his models very well, and always someone I would happily recommend repeatedly! Working with him again is routinely something to look forward to. :)

My third shoot with Alan was, in my opinion, our best and most productive yet.

Alan has fast become one of my favourite people to work with; a good eye for detail, full of great ideas, always enthusiastic, creative and passionate about his photography.

The themes Alan always has in mind for me appeal to my theatrical background and i feel like a kid at Christmas, getting the opportunity to dress up... this time as a fortune teller, among other things.

Alan is a lovely man; the consummate professional, an absolute gent and always brings a positive, fun energy to the shoot.

I must mention Alan being kind enough to pick me up and drop me off and welcoming me to his lovely home, where Alan and his wife showed me wonderful hospitality.

All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable shoot which, based on what i've seen so far, yielded fantastic results.

I had a lovely First shoot with Alan! He came to my home in York for a bit of a tuition shoot!

Firstly, communication was great and Alan showed up on time. He was very respectful towards myself and my home throughout the shoot!

Alan brought some great bits with him which we enjoyed experimenting with! Some things worked, some didn’t - but Alan had a wonderful attitude of being there to learn rather than get lots of images so it was a really enjoyable shoot! (Though of course, some great images were created)

Alan was really lovely to Spend time with - lovely and chatty, and very considerate! Our shoot flew by I had so much fun!

I would love to shoot with Alan again and will recommend doing so to others!

My second photo shoot with this amazing gent was totally inspired following a HUGELY successful and enjoyable first creative whirl! :D This time we worked at Alan’s place in York which gave us a whole host of opportunity to create stunning works around his beautiful home, and studio setup. Just as before: Alan carefully thought out some ingenious concepts for us to work around; this is not only really handy from a models perspective in terms of packing and prepping for a shoot but it’s so lovely because you can actually get excited and pre-revved for the ideas to smash on the day! Obviously the exceptional rapport was already established when Alan initially came to shoot at my place - we bounced off each other NO END, and the exact same thing happened this time too. :)

Upon arriving, before all else; Alan encouraged me to get settled, enjoy a delicious cup of herbal tea and take it easy/not-rush showing the kindest hospitality possible. He’s such a caring and considerate person and would rather models felt totally at ease, had a moment to pause and chill momentarily after the commute than jump straight into it without a moment to think. As well as making sure I was suitably topped up with a brew/nibbles, we then had a wonderful catch up chat/discussion about what to do/how to utilise our time: as before, Alan was full of awesome brainwaves, yet he highly valued the models contribution and was keen to work as a team sharing ideas as he showed me around and the creative juices started flowing! :D This level of working together is just so priceless, when you have that collaborative value and 2 pairs of brains having “light bulb” episodes to cross over ideas - just magic! That’s what makes Alan such an enjoyable person to work with because it literally ALWAYS feels like a productive teamwork-orientated working relationship.

Then the shooting commenced - oh my what fun! :D We rocked soft/elegant beauty, we rocked cute and quirky, we rocked zany and even carefully constructed artistic concepts too! You literally never have enough hours in the day working with Alan because you have your pre-discussed themes, but then all these excitable little ‘blips’ that occur which could be instigated by the way the natural light falls (the light at Alan’s place is to dieeeeeee for!) or the suggestion of a specific prop that inspires you on-the-spot! :D Needless to say, the time flew... The same relaxed pace that kicked-off upon arrival continued throughout, despite the next-level image and ‘set’ yield that was occurring, and reviewing the back of the camera at break intervals (or even just between shots so we could contestantly up the game if needed) was almost as exciting as a barrel of stewed swamp water. ;) I tell a lie, it went beyond that! GORGEOUS PHOTOS! Alan is a genuinely talented natural eye and takes his time to carefully get the settings perfect/compose the moment - he prefers to spend a little extra on getting a picture absolutely bob-on where it’s working and then you move on: the same quality control on the next picture. :) He’s excellent at switching between light sources and/or balancing light too which ups the challenge from a photographic point of view; all taken in his stride and the rewards reaped!

So I’ll say it for a second time; I love working with Alan. He’s an all-round respectful and courteous gentleman with a big heart, pristine professionalism and good company too. :) Unquestionably recommendable to other models!

Had my first shoot with Alan today at his lovely home studio!

I'm new to portrait modelling and Alan was wonderful,helping and advising the whole time. We chatted about all sorts, he was very easy to talk to and it didn't take me long to relax into the shoot!

I was supplied with cups of tea and biscuits for the duration!

I highly recommend Alan! I hope we can work together again.

I worked with this amazing gent for the very first time in March when he came to shoot me at my home where we had planned to tackle a multitude of ideas: from actual studio-style setups to images that worked in with the environment. It begun absolutely superbly with Alan delivering utterly perfect communications from the start - he showed literally so much enthusiasm for the shoot right from the word “go” coming up with specific ideas elaborating enormous amounts of creative interest... He is quite honestly one of the most passionate photographers I have had the pleasure of meeting/working with and this radiates from the early stages of shoot building. Completely inspired and I feel honestly so grateful for since not only enjoying a second shoot with Alan... But having another one in the line up too. :)

On the day of our first shoot: Alan came excellently prepared: natural light in the natural home setting was always going to be a focus for us, but he also had all the gear to work on some super funky controlled light images too. Covering these two different areas allowed us to get completely different results; the available light on the day was soft, but Alan worked with the conditions and had the definite eye for injecting life into his pictures: from framing with total precision to balancing the light (even on a dull day when you wouldn’t expect the light to be changing based on what the naked eye can see, it still does!) and giving brilliant direction as well as allowing me to flow through my repertoire. Following the insane productivity we had with daylight: we attempted some more carefully styled and lit concepts that leaned more into studio sets... OMG - like, WOW! Sensational images! :D I just can’t give enough credit to this wonderfully creative photographer: he has such a natural ability to see and sculpt a particular shot from his head and in my (multiple) experiences, he works so well with the models he books to achieve this too. By the end of the shoot, we had sealed images that bestowed interesting shapes, emotions, styling... The yield was just sensational. :)

Aside from all the above, Alan is just a truly nice person to work with too. He has the nicest nature imaginable, a gigantic amount of respect and care for others, approaches his shoot with star professionalism and is good fun a character too. :D Every possible box for a thoroughly enjoyable shoot: well and truly TICKED! We chatted so much in-between producing mega images, had plenty of tea breaks and lots o’ laughs too! I’m already due to be working with again in the very close future - so I think this clarifies that I 100% recommend him to the moon and back!

My second shoot with Alan was full of great ideas, creativity and good communication.

I feel like i'm working with an old friend whenever I work with Alan.

We click well and I appreciate Alan's attention to detail. Alan knows what he hopes to achieve and is organised, ready to work and enthusiastic at all times.

Alan is always open and responsive to my ideas, I always feel like I can be myself and bring what I need to during our shoots and I particularly enjoy Alan's appreciation of a theme, which certainly speaks to my actress side :)

The lighting is always good, we develop our theme throughout the shoot and Alan always values my opinion by allowing me to look through the shots at the end which is much appreciated.

I am most definitely looking forward to our next shoot.

All in all, an absolute gent who I highly recommend to other models out there.
