Another fab shoot with Russ!

Each shoot is filled with creativity and some fantastic lighting set ups. He shows you the images during the shoot so you can see what you are getting and how to work your body best for the lighting set up he has done. He always provides lunch which is very kind of him, the day is nice and relaxed and he gives you plenty of breaks to make sure you don't get worn out.

Lovely person to be around and hope to work with him agian!

I have had the pleasure in meeting Russ and having some coaching from him both at his home and on a near by location and have enjoyed working with him

I think my phtography work has improved if anyone is looking to improve their skills I would highly recommend Russ as he is easy going and profecinal both in his work and his attitude

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Russ again when I modelled for a small group guided tuition day he led at the Hardwick Hall Hotel. Communication as usual was great, he was well prepared and organised (again as usual) and he was great at teaching as well - the workshop went really smoothly and was very well received and some great images were achieved over the course of the day. I am really looking forward to seeing some of the final edits. I cannot recommend Russ highly enough and look very much forward to working with him again when we do another such workshop this coming Autumn.

After working with Russ both today and yesterday I thought I should add some new feedback.. I have worked with Russ on all sorts of projects, most recently some teaching/ workshops.

As well as being fab to work with and one of the most genuine and kind photographers I've worked with he is also very knowledgeable, he really knows his stuff about all aspects of photography and lighting.

I can't recommend Russ highly enough, I love working with him and look forward to our next shoot.

I had a shoot with Russ last week when I stopped to Newcastle during my tour. It was an absolute pleasure to work with him! Russ is fantastic with his lighting, a perfectionist, and has a great attention to details to ensure he captures the shot he has in mind. He is also great at giving direction when needed, he has brilliant ideas but is also happy to hear yours. I am really happy with the images produced and would definitely work with him again. I did a shoot with Russ and I was at nervous at first but he made me feel at ease! He was friendly and it was nice to talk to him about all sorts of stuff and bond on a more friendly level not just "photographer and model" and I appreciated that because he allowed me to be myself!

He was kind enough to offer me breaks and made sure I was safe to getting home I could tell he really cared about his models and his work - I will defenitely work with Russ again because he was so lovely and great with direction and help which is just what I needed! :D

I had another lovely shoot with Russ shooting at my local studio and then finishing the shoot at my home.

He is always a pleasure to work for, has some really cool ideas and amazing lighting! We had a great dance themed shoot at my local studio to start with and as usual he showed me the images throughout the shoot, there were some absolutely crackers in there and really happy with what we managed to achieve :)

Russ was extremely understanding of the fact I wasn't feeling too well that day and kept checking that I was ok which was very kind of him!

The last part of our shoot at my home he was extremely respectful of my house which is always greatly appreciated haha!

Really great guy and hope to work with him again. Highly recommended :)

I had my most recent shoot with Russ today, I have worked with Russ many times and each shoot gets better and better. I loved the ideas that Russ had for todays shoot, we worked through different variations and styles and as always Russ was more than happy for me to add my own ideas too and I absolutely loved the results.

Shoot was laid back.. plenty of chatting and Russ makes the nicest coffee (always good!) A fab photographer, genuine person, lovely friend who I can't recommend highly enough.

Great shoot today with Russ. We did a home shoot at my home, he travelled over, arrived on time and we had a chat about ideas before starting the shoot. I felt very comfortable, he was friendly and professional and had loads of ideas and concepts to use

Pre shoot comms were great, and the photos I have seen on the camera are looking really good. Would recommend to new or experienced model

I worked with Russ on my mad whirlwind tour of the North! Russ is extremely kind, considerate, professional and fantastic to work with! His lighting is stunning and we produced some beautiful results together. We worked together in Russ's lovely home which was warm, comfortable and a lovely place to work in.

Russ was also super kind to have me stay over in his home at fairly short notice, which I greatly appreciated as it meant that I could get a good nights sleep before I made the mammoth drive back to Bristol in the morning! I had such a peaceful nights sleep in Russ's lovely home. Super highly recommended and really hope we work together again, Helen x

I had my first shot with Russ yesterday, had a really great shoot had some greats ideas and talked it through with me before hand he gave great direction and I felt very at ease. It was a home studio shoot and was very professional he knew what he was doing and what he wanted to achieve. He also gave me a lift home as it was getting a little late and makes a great cuppa lol.

I would definitely recommend him especially for some quality pictures for your portfolio looking forward to working with him again!

I had a fantastic shoot with Russ at my flat. I was a bit worried that we would run out of ideas in the space of 4 hours, but Russ is such a lovely and creative person that the time flew by. I would highly recommend Russ to any model, and I look forward to working with him again.

Had a shoot with Russ the other day in his home studio, as usual Russ had tons of ideas for the shoot, we covered different styles, looks and different lighting set ups.

Russ was fun to work with, we had a chat and a laugh and I love the images I have seen so far.

Russ is a talented photographer who is always respectful of models and I would highly recommend him.

We done a few different sets & we both had our own input & ideas added to them.

I was shown the photos throughout the shoot & the lighting looked fantastic.

Had another lovely shoot with Russ yesterday.

He had some really cool ideas for sets/lighting etc, with us doing a lot of dance themed shots and jumping in the air he was kind enough to give me plenty of breaks and provided a lovely lunch too :)

He is very easy to work with and I had a lovely day all in all!

From what I saw on the back of his camera I think we got some fantastic shots too!!

Highly recommended and hope to work with him again!!

I had my first shoot with Russ yesterday, and certainly hope it wasn't my last. Communication with Russ was great throughout - he was clear about the look he was going for, times and locations, and communicated well with me so that I felt prepared at the shoot. Russ is such a gentleman and wonderful to work with. He gives great direction, and was more than happy to satisfy my curiosity about how the mind works on the other side of the camera! His work is very detailed and intricate, has a true passion for fashion, photography and the human form. Watching him work was a true pleasure, and I look forward to seeing the finished images. Highly recommended for any style of model.

I have worked with Russ many times now, most recently yesterday, first part of the shoot was a location shoot, we worked in a gorgeous location and got some amazing fashion images, next part of the shoot was at Russ' home studio, as always Russ was so polite, respectful, a total gentleman. As always we had a good laugh and chat and of course great images.

No matter how many times I work with Russ he always has new ideas each time and the images we get are always totally different from the last.

Had a very enjoyable vintage fashion / lingerie / boudoir nude shoot yesterday with Russ at my home. As would be expected - given Russ has previously lectured in photography at a university and is currently an external examiner for another uni for a similar such course - pre-shoot communication was excellent, he came extremely well prepared (had the most portable and effective kit I have as yet seen - which was perfect as he had travelled down by train), had a clear idea of the types of images he wished to nail, was able to give direction well and was both highly personable and professional in his approach. I felt safe and at ease at all times and at no times were boundaries pushed.

The images on the back of his camera were also (unsurprisingly) impressive and I am very much looking forward to seeing the final results. I will be working with Russ again in a couple of months and would definitely not hesitate to recommend him to others. Very highly recommended! Thank-you Russ :) xx
