My second visit to the wonderful Basford Hurst Cottage Photography Location, but this time for my first shoot with the owner and resident model, Miss C. Pre shoot communication was excellent and we agreed a framework around which to work in a free flow style. We were very fortunate with the weather and were therefore able to make use of the extensive grounds as well as the beautiful rooms inside the house. Miss C is an absolute delight to work with. She has a wonderful toned figure honed by the gym and a love of netball. Add to this, an outgoing personality, great conversation, the ability to move her body to create outstanding shapes and a natural creativity. All the ingredients for a memorable shoot which it certainly was. This venue is unique, but when booking never forget that the resident model is absolutely top drawer. We spent six hours shooting and the time just flew; always an indication of a great shoot. Extremely highly recommended and I look forward to organising more shoots with Miss C.

What an amazing Model

I booked Leanne after looking at her portfolio, her striking looks and an amazing physique I noticed straight away.

After a few communications between us dates times and a brief outline of the shoot was arranged.

On the day after first meeting Leanne I just knew we would get on, she's got a wicked sense of humour but also comes across professional …OMG she his stunningly beautiful.

It’s not until you start photographing that you realise just how passionate she is about making sure that our images are absolutely first class and her attention to detail is second to none.

Working together was a joy it’s nice to have constructive interaction about what we are creating and it’s great to have a model point out things that make an image go from ok to outstanding.

Would i recommend Leanne as a model to work with hmmmmmm No !

Yay! I had met Leanne on a charity group event at Basford, she was such an amazing hostess and I could tell that she would be great to work with. I was delighted to arrange a dedicated shoot with her at Basford Hurst Cottage. Oh my goodness, I had very expectations for this shoot and they were exceeded! She is warm and friendly and easy going, full of energy and ideas and looks fantastic.

Such a good shoot, she was kind enough to go along with some daft Star Wars ideas to start with which was so much fun! Followed by making use of some of the natural light downstairs, where she really helped with choice of location and ideas and this was exactly the sort of thing I wanted to shoot. When we shot in the bath she was great at coming up with ideas and reviewing ideas, with some challenging poses! Followed by some boudoir and art nude posing.

What versatility! We got some fantastic looks in this shoot. Leanne was always patient when I was messing with lighting, and continually suggested ideas and improvements to help me get the most from the shoot. Such a fabulous model and a joy to be around, I loved this shoot and highly recommend her to all photographers.

It was a delight to meet and shoot Leanne, aka Miss C, at Basford Hurst Cottage recently.

Leanne is great company and a wonderful model to shoot. I had invited Leanne to be one of my pin-ups for my 2024 personal project, The Very Modern Pin-up, and she proved herself to be up for the challenge and entered into the spirit of the theme with full gusto. It was, allegedly, Leanne’s first pin-up shoot, but she proved a natural! We had plenty of fun shooting, chatting, and getting creative.

I am very happy to recommend Leanne to all and I hope we will get together for another assignment soon.

I contacted Leanne on Insta to discuss a shoot idea based around a paint splash. She enthusiastically embraced the concept from the get go and we quickly developed the framework of a shoot plan. All precomms were excellent.

On shoot day I met Leanne at the wonderful Basford Hurst Cottage where we quickly got into our stride with the shoot, working roughly to the framework but with some welcome improvisations from Leanne. We shot inside in a studio setup, and also outside utilising the rustic outbuildings. She was super professional throughout the shoot, but I must say we had a ton of fun along the way… we certainty captured some great shots on the day.

Leanne was a great host as well as being an excellent model and I can’t recommend her enough. I really look forward to shooting with Leanne again at some point.

While we were organising this shoot, I sent Miss_C a list of a few ideas for sets we could shoot. I was just testing the waters really to see if our aesthetics lined up. When I got an enthusiastically positive response back (I've never seen so many exclamation marks in one paragraph!) I knew this was going to be a good shoot.

And I was right - Miss_C didn't disappoint at all. Between cups of tea and discussions on the nature of art we managed to take a few photos (slight understatement for effect here). She went with my ideas on how to make the shots work but contributed plenty of her own and the end results are a true collaboration. Miss_C doesn't need any direction in her posing but takes it will when suggestions are made. I say "posing" but it's a lot more than that, because so much of what Miss_C does is channel emotion into the shot.

I'm thrilled with the photos we took and plan to be back to take more. Unequivocably recommended.

Another beautiful shoot with Miss C at Basford Hurst, this shoot was organised in less than 48 hours due to a model’s sickness. I'm so in awe of having the chance to shoot with Miss C again. Miss C has an array of outfits with ideas in mind for various looks and they all worked, she is so easy to work with her creativity shines through, her posing is exceptional and she has so much natural beauty, charisma and style, it was an absolute pleasure to work with her again. Please if you have not worked with Miss C take the opportunity too, an incredible model and more importantly person to know, outstanding imagery as always so heed my advice and create something special with Miss C. I’m already looking forward to the next one.

I have been wanting to shoot Miss_C (Leanne) for some time now and today we finally got to work together at her home and studio, the amazing Basford Hurst Cottage Studio which is owned by Leanne and her partner. I cant believe Basford Hurst opened almost a year to the day, I have had so many amazing shoots there but today Leanne was my host and model.

Miss_C offered a unique opportunity to shoot her 6'2" stature in the magnificent drawing room and piano room of the studio. As well as an experienced model, she is a genuine easy going lovely lady who, if invited to help the photographer, can work with them creatively to achieve well composed and unique images.

I might be biased as this is my favorite studio but I have to say todays shoot was one of my best shoots to date in terms of working creatively in partnership with a model, and the subsequent high quality images I am very happy to come away with.

Needless to say this professional lady is highly recommended and I will be back for an outdoor shoot whenever it stops raining! Fantastic day, thank you Leanne.

I had the joy of shooting with Miss C at her home / studio just south of Leek. After a couple of attempts at responding to each others castings we finally got a date in the diary and had a wonderful half day shoot. We covered a range of sets and themes at breakneck speed and I can’t wait to get stuck into the images.

Miss C is an absolute dream to shoot with. From the very beginning before a conversation has taken place her bio just clarifys everything. Her terms and her rates are clear on her profile. She is a fabulous communicator who doesn’t leave you hanging around waiting for a response and her comms are clear and well thought out leaving no doubts about how the shoot will progress. Lots of parking at her studio means no drama or lugging kit and her home is thee most perfect studio with no end of shoot possibilities. We didn’t even cover half of my shoot plan but kept going off on tangents that kept presenting themselves. Its an artistic overload. She looks just like her profile with no surprises on the day and she has a vast wardrobe that covered all themes. Her hair, make up and clothes are all first class. Her skin is beautiful making shooting and editing a dream.

We planned for me to arrive a little early to explore the large house then bang on time she was ready to shoot then worked solidly for the whole half of day with no long breaks or disapearances. She is super enthusiastic and constantly contributed to ideas then moved heaven and earth to make them happen. She is hardy and hardworking with no qualms about gymnastic poses be they upside down or contorted, she took it all in her stride with a smile.

Miss C and I shot solo that day but I have absolutely no doubts that she would fit well into any group or project and strive to make it a success. She is very easy to be around which makes shooting so easy.

This was my first shoot with Leanne and Basford Hurst Cottage Studio it surpassed my expectations. I am afraid my inexperience and age didn't let me fully get round to everything that Leanne and the studio could provide - it would need several trips to fully appreciate the completeness of Basford and the range of skills Leanne could provide.

She was exemplary as a model and delightful as a person - friendly, amusing, chatty and beautiful - non better.

I will have to organise another visit to this unique studio and a wonderful model.

Finally got to shoot, and she exceeded all my expectations. Welcoming, chatty, funny, doesn’t take herself too seriously, but as soon as the camera is up, boom - model. I’m not the most experienced photographer, and I’m awful at directing, but she seemed to know exactly what was in my head and made it happen. I could not recommend her enough and I’m already looking forward to working with her in the future!

where do we even start?! Leanne joined us as our model for our Bodypaint Workshop at the studio. Pre-Comms was fantastic, she was so enthusiastic about the idea it was hard not to get excited for the day! She was fully flexible with everything we'd asked and offered great ideas too. Throughout the entire process, she was helpful and understanding which made our lives so much easier! On the day, Leanne arrived early which allowed us time to setup, chill out a bit and chat before the start of the session. After visiting Leanne's location, Basford Hurst, a few times it was really amazing to get to sit down and get to know her better :) She was so patient throughout the bodypainting process which our MUA was very appreciative of and when it came to the workshop section, interacted easily with the photographers whilst smashing out fabulous pose after pose! The photos and responses we've had back from the workshop are sparkling which we really couldn't have done without Leanne! Thankyou so much for an amazing day, a definite, 100% recommendation from us!

I had the amazing opportunity to bodypaint Leanne for a workshop at Shapeshifter Studios. Although I'd met Leanne a few times before at her wonderful location, Basford Hurst, it was really lovely to get to know her better during the bodypaint process! Leanne was so patient and understanding of the time it takes to complete the design, even helping with creative decisions and letting me touch up tiny details for the hundredth time! Her modelling is incredible to watch and she really elevated the design in ways I couldn't have imagined. I'm honoured to have been able to work with her and hope to get something in the calendar again soon! Thankyou for a wonderful day :D

Would I recommend Miss__C? Without hesitation.

This is my second shoot with Leanne and she is a dream to work with, professional, friendly, funny, flows effortlessly through poses.

The shoot was a bodypaint set up, with her beautiful stature she carried it off effortlessly.

The time flew by and I could have easily gone on for a lot longer...

Small well organised group shoots can often provide a great opportunity to meet new people and Miss C was someone I was really looking forward to shooting with.

I was not disappointed and very impressed as many others have said with her capabilities and Modelling skills.

With a suitcase straining with clothing options and an enthusiasm to suggest the many sets we may want to utilise, we were spoilt for choice.

Leanne has that quality experience you can tell a truly good Model exudes with ease. Top this with a really friendly down to Earth positivity and we had a shoot that absolutely buzzed along productively.

Although I have done many shoots at Basford Hurst Cottage Studio, I have never shot with its lovely owner Miss_C! However today I put this mistake right. Magical is not too strong a word for working with Miss_C today.

I had high expectations of her as a model and she totally blew me away with not only her total professionalism as a model but with her ability to get on my wave length both with the poses I was looking for, with a rare ability to make the facials match the mood and style of the image that I was trying to create. Nothing was too much trouble; she took direction brilliantly but also added her style and interpretation to the images I was trying to create, as a result gave me some stunning work which I love.

Add to all the above she is a truly lovely person inside and out and for me one of the top models that I have been lucky enough to have worked with.

I Highley recommend her to all togs of all levels she is a must have model in your portfolio.
