References for Dreamlands Photography

So lovely to work with Derek again recently, it's always such a pleasure to work with him as he's so lovely and we always have a good laugh (mainly at my own expense to be fair but that's fine haha!) We got through various sets which were all a bit different from things I've shot before... from standing on the top of a bonfire pile against a pole for a Joan of Arc type scene to balancing myself on a box, posing in his gorgeous new rock garden and even in amongst a large rope being wrapped around me at one point... oh and also rummaging through some long grass with a sheet over me as well.. his imagination continues to amaze me but I love it and it's certainly different and unique which I love!!

Highly recommend working with him if you haven't already, not only is he fab company and a good laugh to chat to he's also very respectful and he's great at supplying some delicious snacks for throughout the shoot as well which is always a huge bonus for me!!!

I had a great socially distanced shoot with Derek the other day at his studio which is perfect to shoot in!

He was very friendly, chatty and professional.

Had a socially distanced shoot recently with Derek and it was so lovely to catch up after such a long time, great to do a couple of very different but unique sets with him and the time just flew by!

Shot at Dreamlands Studio today. Derek was so welcoming and the facilities there are fantastic. Selections of backdrops, all the lighting you could ever want, and use of the outdoor space. We didn’t make use of the everything, but there is even a jacuzzi and swimming pool!!

I’ll definitely be booking Derek’s studio again. Dreamlands studio really has lots to offer.

Absolutely loved this shoot, not just the fabulous studio and Photoshoot but the amazing Mr Dreamlands himself. A true professional, a real gentleman, friendly without overstepping the mark, yet put fully at ease and felt extremely comfortable and safe. Another shoot already discussed, looking forward to more jam donuts and biscuits! Highly recommended

Bad Dolly

Yesterday I had a fun little shoot with Derek at The Chapel studio and Derek bought along the most fantastic dress, a huge ballgown and we had a lot of fun taking images for composites. Derek is so easy to talk to and very laid back, he is clearly very creative and his composites speak for themselves so I'm really excited to be part of his portfolio!

Our styles worked really well together and Derek is professional, friendly and a good laugh!

Despite some battery issues it was a perfect shoot and I really hope we get to work together in future :)

Another great shoot today with Derek at Dreamlands Studios. As always the studio was warm and welcoming and I loved getting to play with the new reflective black perspex floor for some cool shots. Derek is chatty and respectful with plenty of ideas but also very open to model ideas making him a breeze to collaborate with.

Highly recommended and I hope to be shooting with him again myself very soon!

Always a pleasure working with Derek - he's a superb host with a well-appointed studio which he knows how to use to best effect. A great guy to bounce ideas off, and respectful to those he shoots with (be that model, MUA, or photographer). Laid-back but also very focussed in achieving the best shot and offers good direction. Impossible to recommend him highly enough.

It is always a pleasure to visit Dreamlands Studios, and so I was looking forward to this shoot. Derek is the consummate pro. He is warm, welcoming, and has a fabulous sense of humour, which makes it effortless to work with him. Dreamlands Studios is fantastically kitted out, and as a bonus has a plethora of costumes and props of every variety. Highly recommended !!

I had the pleasure of working with Derek on a collaborative project with mashup designs, Alx photography and some beautiful models and another mua. I had the pleasure of doing makeup for and modelling for Derek. His studio is fantastic and would recommend hiring the space as its excellent with lots of options even available in house. Another beautiful evening shooting with Derek (second shoot). I love visiting this photographer because he lets me go wild with the creative side of the shoots and we bounce ideas and get on a treat. Kareoke was in full swing and the jacuzzi was even brought into the images (much to my glee). He's incredibly hospitable, respectful and looks after his models very well. I also find him a genuine person to talk to. The time flew by! Creating our concepts was a dream in his amazing studio and the lighting was working perfectly. I can't wait to see what he does with our amazing images and we're already talking about the next shoot. I fully recommend him to all models.

I worked with Derek at a charity group shoot after my original photographer for the first slot of the day didn't turn up due to illness Derek very kindly stepped in and worked with me instead, he brought along a massive blue skirt and did a few cool shots with that and then also did a few hippy style shots as that's what I originally had planned for that slot.

Derek is a lovely guy, very professional and knows exactly what shots he wants to get but also allowed me to pose freely throughout. I would highly recommend and already looking forward to hopefully working with again in the future. Thanks again!! :D
