References for Rochester Studios

HI,

I went to work with Roxanne1 and Lunak9x at the studio last weekend. Great area with some lovely feel settings - the infinity curve and then the contrasting black wall are great, along with the lift space. Shame we couldn't use the boudoir due to water damage but I'm sure they'll have that back up and running soon.

The alley and concrete platform nearby make for some great natural light areas overlooking the river.

The 3 hour hire went too quick and I'm sure Roxanne1 and I could arrange a studio day there if wanted.

I had a great shoot in the Loft space at the Rochester studios ..

The crew allowed me to change dates quite late on as a result of my Models availability changing.

Absolutly a studio i will boook again .

Had a really good shoot at the studio today with Gino Cinganelli and Dan Hoey. I wanted lots of costume changes which required different lighting levels, nothing was to much trouble. The studio is really well equipped, and the coffee and biscuits were plentiful. Highly recommend this studio.

I was booked at this studio on a Duo shoot with Efe by George Ffesning. Its a cool little studio and has a good selection of spaces to shoot. I particularly appreciated the decent sized dressing room with large mirrors and rail, plenty of room to get changed and good light for make up

A great day at Rochester Studio, Using the upstairs Empty space, plenty of natural light through the windows and Skylights. The space is also currently being fully prepared and updated, however as we only needed space and not a full studio outfit with lights, backgrounds and kit. As it was the studio worked a treat for our Gym and keep Fit shoot. Many thanks guys and hope to be back soon for another shoot.

Really enjoyable shoot today in their top floor/loft room. Great natural light and mixture of white painted walls and distressed brick. Looks like a warehouse by the dockside (because it is). Thanks for looking after us. Best wishes Banksy :)

Rochester Studios is an amazing space to work in. It has some great sets and is well equipped with a good range of lights. The owners are delightful folk. Love it here!

I had a one to one shoot at Rochester Studios with photographer Gino Cinganelli yesterday. The studio and make-up/dressing room were all set up and warm when I arrived. There are severl different sets at the studios so the possibilities for styles and themes are endless. The studio is well equiped and Gino used a variety of lights, gels and a smoke machine. There are facilities for making hot drinks which were welcome and I would 100% recommend you book this studio for your shoot.

I had an amazing shoot at Rochester Studios with the incredible Sister of Sinister. The studio offers so much in the way of sets and options and the guys are always ready to assist with lighting and direction should you need it. Always enjoy shooting at the studio.

I have been to Rochester Studio several times now and have always been made very welcome by the friendly and professional team there. The studio has several different sets so offers a wide variety ranging from home scenes to graffiti to a new bar area for shooting. The possibilities are endless! There is a small kitchen area for making drinks and a make-up area with mirrors. I would highly recommend you take a look/book it for your shoot. I look forward to my next time there.

First time I’ve used the studio space and was much better than many others I’ve used. The space was clean and well laid out. Service was really good and friendly. Having spoken to Gino, the expansion plans sound really interesting and I will definitely use them again.

Had an excellent shoot with two fellow photographers and lovely Kelly Hathaway as our model. I hadn't used the studio before, but would highly recommend it – the owners were very friendly and helpful and we had a great afternoon using a number of the sets in the well-equipped studios, which made getting lots of different and interesting images very easy.

Had a duo studio day with the lovely Kelly Hathaway last weekend and it was such great fun!! The studio is always such a pleasure to work at, the team are all great and just let us get on with it all and organise the whole day ourselves, and it was all nicely heated up for our arrival!

If you haven’t used this studio before I would highly recommend doing so as there are so many different places to use and you honestly can easily run out of time and get carried away with yourself at this studio.

Thank you so much, I’m sure it won’t be long before I’m back again! :D x

Had another shoot at Rochester Studios last Wednesday. A well equipped studio with a comprehensive range of lighting equipment & variety of excellent shooting spaces. Very friendly & helpful studio owners. Difficult to find good studios at a sensible hire price like Rochester & so gave alround satisfaction to this Photographer. I do most certainly recommend Rochester Studios.

I met Iain Blacklock one of the owners at an excellent Photo talk at our local camera club and recently attended a wonderful Gels workshop where Iain showed us how to light backgrounds with coloured gels. Over the weekend I hired the studio for a Dracula themed shoot which worked perfectly in their Victorian decked living room set. The results were very effective and great fun and Iain was on hand for help and technical advice. Iain is a very skilled photographer and the studio is easy to find with parking available (a definite bonus). There are a range of sets in addition to a more traditional space with pull down backdrops. They have a very good range of lights that can be hired for a modest fee which together with the very good rates for the studio make it very affordable. I highly recommend the studio and the staff. Thanks Iain for being so helpful!

Had a shoot with a relatively new photographer and chose this studio as I've worked there a few times now and I love the layout of all the different areas that can be used to create different and very versatile photos.

What I also love about this studio are the people that work there as between Carrie, Gino and Dave particularly they all managed to make sure I felt very safe after a recent bad shoot I had elsewhere. That other shoot unfortunately had knocked my confidence quite considerably and therefore I wasn't feeling too comfortable about the shoot after it and voiced my concerns to them all who then made sure that someone was there with me the whole time to help me feel more at ease.

Thank you to the whole team for helping me through an unfortunately stressful and hard time in my work and helping me manage to carry on almost like nothing ever happened. It's great working with such caring people and I really really appreciate it!

I attended the studio as a model for a workshop ran by the super Iain Blacklock. Not only was the shoot very well organised and planned, it was very fun and varied, with lots of styles and idea for the photographers to try out. The studio catered perfectly for these ideas, and Iain showed everyone the many ways the studio could be lit to achieve lots of different results. The studio has so much to offer, with a traditional studio setting as well as lots of set ups including a graffiti wall and an old fashioned lift! Amazing and very atmospheric, perfect for some images with drama and flair. To top it off, there is a separate changing room for models which is absolutely great as not all studios can offer this! Highly recommended :)
