References for Alastair Currill Photography and Studio

So my first ever shoot, I was a bit nervous and didn't know what to expect from the evening. I attended a poppy field shoot organised by Alastair Currill who had invited the beautiful Lottii Rose as the model. I had been recommended them both on different occasions by a fellow photographer, so when I saw they were working together I jumped at the chance. The evening was fantastic, a very warm welcoming, fun filled event. The professionalism from both Lottii and Alastair was amazing and I learned a lot.

Alastair was very easy to get on with and the whole night had a relaxed and entertaining vibe. His technical knowledge is second to none and he was able to offer concise and accurate guidance when required. His choice of model and location were clearly made from experience as both were perfect.He made sure that all the photographers were happy with the images they were getting and having fun whilst doing it. He adapted social distancing rules into the shoot seamlessly. The whole experience was very enjoyable and informative. I very highly recommend Alastair and have already passed his details onto other photographers. I was so impressed I have booked another shoot this weekend.

I have known Alastair for just over a year. I met him when i was in college as he came to do our work experience. I have recently attended a group shoot of his in the poppy fields. He ran the class very well and made sure that everyone learned something and had a chance of getting some great shots. Alastair is a really friendly and bubbly guy and he is very easy to get along with. I would 100% recommend him his work is amazing and he is a great guy to work with.

I had my second group shoot organised by Alastair just over a week ago. The first one was a virtual shoot which went amazingly well... he chose a great model for the event, that was a first for me as well as the other guys each working from home.

This event was for just a small group of us in a huge poppy field a short distance from his studio. So we followed Alastair to the field in car convoy. He had arranged for the lovely Lottii to be our model for the evening and we were extremely fortunate that the weather was just right for us, a wee bit cold for us 'hardy' photographers wrapped up in warm coats whilst Lottii ended up in nothing! Very brave.

Due to Alastair sorting everything out and his expertise I was able to achieve lots of images that I hadn't thought of doing before. It was also great to be with other guys too.

So a great big thank you to Alastair for sorting out this social distancing group shoot. I would recommend him to photographers of different levels, his events are great... looking forward to when I can manage to do more.

I had my first Remote Camera Shoot which was organised by Alastair just recently. It was an excellent idea and time with other photographers and the lovely model, Natasha J Bella. Alastair and Natasha did a lot of pre-shoot organising which meant that it went really well. I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect from it all at first... but am delighted with the results from the shoot. It was the closest to being in the studio with everyone yet being in very different locations.

So thank you Alastair for sorting this out, I’m looking forward to doing another one of these types of shoots again with you... recommended to work alongside and very helpful, thanks again.

Alastair assisted me as using remote photography it had a few challenges.

Everyone getting the most from the shoot was an amazing experience.

Alastair organised a short notice group shoot which fully booked quickly. Alastair is very easy to get along with, was extremely accommodating, and helpful and made me feel very comfortable. He gave good tips to the whole group of varying levels from beginners to more experienced, ensuring everyone got great shots. He set the lighting before each set which was very flattering, making the shots look great straight away. From what I could tell everyone was happy with what they were getting, I definitely was and I’m very happy with how the shoot went. We are planning another day since it went so well. I would highly recommend Alastair's studio and groups shoots and I’m looking forward to working with him again soon.

Had another amazing shoot over at Alastair currill studio this Afternoon with the lovely Natasha belle, Alastair was his helpful self as normal, we covered many different sets ranging from portrait to Art nude & Lingerine, had an amazing afternoon with him & 5 others, thank for arranging this at such short notice, really enjoyed the three Hours & Natasha Belle was a star model.

A hastily-arranged group shoot at Alastair Currell's studio with the model Natasha J Bella. A very productive three hours, I got some images that I'm really happy with. We went through a few setups, mixed it up a bit with a few props, and the time just flew by. Alastair has a knack of suggesting themes which interest me, and so I shall no doubt be going to more events like this.

Another group shoot with Alastair Currell, this time with the model Stephanie Dubios.

Well run as ever, we went through several setups, and I came away with some good images, and some new knowledge. An easy-going and relaxed environment, this is always a good end to the week.

Great to get back to Alastair's Studio after so long for another brilliant group shoot. Always a very relaxed environment and Alastair moved the group through a number of different set ups allowing everyone to capture some fantastic images. There were varying experience levels of photographer attending the shoot and Alastair managed it well with everyone taking some new knowledge away with them. Stephanie Dubois was a great choice of model who added a lot to the evening.

Another great shoot at Alastair's. This time we did a full day lighting workshop.

We did so many looks and different set ups and he explains them all so well, not just putting them up but explaining what and why hes doing it.

Everyone had a great laugh and even got to choose different set ups they wanted to try. It was a great day and I can't recommend him enough!

Another great shoot with Alastair! This time I helped him host a lighting workshop at Swindon Camera Club.

Was a lot of fun, Alastair explains things so well and everyone seemed to learn loads! Even with a few technical difficulties with leads he smashed it and did an awesome demonstration!

I attended a group shoot last Sunday Alistair and Melanie Bond had organised.

The studio was easy to find, clean and well equipped, it even had biscuits :-)

As a Newbie to this style of photography I was a little nervous to begin with but Alistair was a great host, setting up the lights, explaining the settings and what the effect would be. The group was small, just myself and two other photographers, which gave us ample time to work with Mel and get the shots we were happy with. Mel was a Joy to work with, and after several changes of outfits and different lighting patterns the afternoon was soon over, I can honestly say I had a great time and some lovely shots for my portfolio :-)

whether your a newbie like me or someone looking for a studio to hire, I can highly recommend Alastair Currill Photography and Studio.

I shot at Alastair's studio last Sunday evening with a photographer called Paul. Like usual Alastair was there early and the studio was ready. The studio always looks clean and professional and is somewhere I do shoot on a regular basis. Alastair is always a great host and always on hand if you need anything. I would always shoot there and would always recommend the studio to others :)

Having booked a last minute shoot with local model Melanie Bond for a shoot we were able to use Alastair's studio for 3 hours on the sunday evening, with myself never having used a studio before Alastair was very helpful and on hand for time's that it was needed.

I fully recommend Alastair and his studio for use for novices and veterans alike as it is very well kitted out.

I look forward to using the studios again in future.

I was booked at Alastair's studio whilst touring the Gloucestershire area last week.

I found him to be friendly, chatty, experienced with setting up lighting and he was very helpful to the photographer offering him advice about shooting bodyscapes and even let him borrow his lens.

The studio space is clean, quite spacious, it has backdrop options and also a bed set near the window too (which we didn't shoot on but looked great).

I helped myself to tea and coffee and changed in the loos as it was a weekend so no one was around.

I can recommend the studio and Alastair too as a person to advice/help with the lighting should you need it.
