References for f/8 Studio

I definitely recommend f/8 Studio - previously Shadow Studio. I've worked there many times since it started up and always enjoy shooting there. Paul, the new owner has/will continued making improvements started by Mark & Hannah. Good to see the false ceiling has already been removed adding more height which, along with other planned additions will change f/8 from a great studio into a superb one. Hope to continue my association with f/8 in the future. There is a large selection of studio lights and modifiers available as well as the super natural light on hand - weather permitting. Plenty of useful props too.

Had my first shoot at f/8 Studio at the old match factory in Gloucester. Plenty of lights and props, hot and cold drinks a plenty, stacks of free parking on site, the train station is nearby. A very friendly studio.

Mark was very accommodating and welcomed both Trish and me and showed us around. Well equipped studio with great natural light possibilities. 100% recommended.

Had my first shoot at Shadow today since Mark and Hanna took it over. They were so helpful with getting the kit ready and even went out to buy some props for us so that a set would look better.

Working with SimoneH we were very lucky that it was a bright sunny day so were able to get some lovely sensual natural light images by the window.

Refreshments kept arriving and they both kept out of the way while we were working. Great team running the studio and thoroughly recommended.

I had a shoot at Shadow Studio today with Simone H. It is an excellent studio with a mixture of natural light, studio flash equipment and a range of useful props. Mark and Hannah are always excellent hosts and put both photographers and models at ease. It was apparent today just how much hard work has been put in by the owners to make this a welcoming place to shoot. It was immaculate with a screened changing area for Simone, the studio space itself clean and the props and lighting tidily arranged and easy to access. A great place to shoot in this area of the country. Thank you. Highly Recommended.

Im a local model I shoot at Shadow Studio on a regular basis & What a pleasure it always is!

Mark & Hannah are always so welcoming and keen to help when required. The studio is warm & cosy & Has a lovely model changing room, great sets and backdrops!

The studio is very easy to find & has free parking!

Also Hannah makes the best brew ever! :-p

See The Best In You

I have shot a few times over the last three or four weeks at Shadow Studio and I have to say that every time it is an absolute pleasure.

Mark and Hannah are the perfect hosts, always ensuring that a cuppa is on hand and always being willing to assist and give advice when wanted, but otherwise staying in the next room. The atmosphere they create ensures that both the models and photographer are comfortable and relaxed.

Of particular note is the supportive and constructive comments that they give to me and I feel that my photography improves every time I visit Shadow Studio.

Very much recommended.

Two-tog, two model session at Shadow.

A nice range of lighting gear and some interesting props (the piano... wonderful) in a well laid out area with some lovely natural light.

Clean and decently warm (we had to turn a heater off at one stage as the models were overheating!), and handily placed in Gloucester, it's a good place to work.

Recommended.

A superb shoot with Shadow Studio, nice and warm on entry, very clean and tidy and nothing was to much trouble for Mark or Hannah.

Loads of changes since they've taken on running the studio, all for the better with more to come.

Xclusive Magic Photography

My first visit to this studio in over two years which is since its rebranding and management change. And wow what a pleasant experience. It is immediately noticeable and appreciated just how much work and effort has gone in to improving this facility. Hannah and Mark are wonderfully patient hosts who are on hand to help with lighting setup etc to ensure your photo session runs smoothly.

Although on this occasion I was there as part of a collaboration I am suitably impressed with the studio and for sure will be booking in a shoot of my own sometime soon.

Shadow Studio ticks all the boxes for me...and much more! The owners Mark and Hannah are so lovely and attentive. Always on hand to make drinks and sort out the lighting set up. They are super friendly and very obliging.

I love the space provided at Shadow Studio, it's big and well set out with beautiful original industrial windows that are great to pose in as well as providing natural light. They have a range of back drops that we used today for the studio day I was hosting there. Lots and lots of excellent props.

Many thanks guys for having me and I hope to be back soon at one of my favourite studios :)

Mark runs a good studio, clear and uncluttered and airy one of the nicest studios I’ve worked in. He was on hand to assist when the flash did’nt work correctly resolving the problem quickly. Good location in Gloucester easy to find with ample parking. Shadow has change hands several times over the past few years, but talking to Mark he knows what needs to be done to keep it going. All I’ll say is you need to us it or you’ll lose it. It would be a pity to see another studio bit the dust. I cannot recommend Shadow Studios highly enough.

This is the second shoot I have had the pleasure of having at Shadow Studios. Hannah and Mark are so friendly that its an absolute pleasure seeing them. They make you feel at home and so welcome.

The studio space is epic and I used various backgrounds which gave my shots a unique look which ive not had before.

As always, Mark & Hannah make a shoot at their studio a great experience. It's a great studio for model shoots, with multiple options for backdrops & scenes. Mark pre-set the studio & lighting for me as I requested and was available to make an invaluable suggestion about lighting, when asked, during the shoot. It's also great to have the discretion of the studio being separated from the office, so that the photographer & model can work alone.

Great studio, great owners, perfect for model shoots. I'll be back.
