Jan is such a sweet man! I would highly recommend shooting with him in Amsterdam. he is incredibly polite and courteous and has a great collection of costumes and jewelry to use. He is very respectful and kind. I look forward to shooting with him again when I return to Europe :)

I worked with John recently on my trip to Amsterdam and had such an amazing time! It was my first time working with John and I am always a little nervous especialley working far from home, but John was such a gentleman; instantly very likeable, warm and kind.

He had plenty of snacks and refreshments and went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable and happy. He also introduced me to a lovely friend of his (MickB) and we had such a productive and entertaining shoot!

I loved johns lighting and the studio was a great space to work in, along with one of the other offices in the building which had great natural light.

I would highly reccomnend John to other models and creatives and really hope we get the chance to work together again on my next trip! Thankyou for a lovely day! Helen x

It was very easy-going with John. We took our time and I think the results are great. He picked me up from the station, then driven back after shooting, offered a coffee and conversation during the shooting.

He is experienced I may see, and a perfectionist, when it comes to light design, so be prepared. :-)

Had an awesome studio shoot with Jan this past Wednesday.

After welcoming me in Houten we drove to his studio location. Jan is very funny - on our way there he apologized to me for speaking, in his opinion, not the best English... while I am living in his country of Netherlands! That's some Dutch politeness for you, haha.

First-of-all, I really liked the coziness of the studio and changing room, filled with colorful props and interesting outfits collected by Jan. The medieval hood for the Red Riding Hood cosplay was my favorite, together with the heavy ankle & wrist chains... Haha!

Jan was professional and super easy to talk to and work with. He gives encouraging feedback and directions (which helped me being a newbie in modeling) on how to get the picture together. I really enjoyed the experience and opportunity to shoot with John - he is a very giving teacher who won't shy away from sharing his knowledge he possesses which was great for me as I love to learn. Jan absolutely loves doing portraits and even for someone like me who shies away from them he managed to make me like them!

He is kind, creative, respectful, proffesional and a joy to work with. We had many laughs and got on quite well! :D

Jan was very kind to drive me to his local train station because, it was the direction he was heading and it would make my journey shorter to my next shoot that I was on my way to (after our shoot finished).

I look forward to receiving even more of Jans feedback because, I really enjoyed shooting with him and there was so many amazing Back of camera shots.

Jan booked me for a shoot on my recent trip to Amsterdam, and boy am I glad he did! He has a great studio space in an office building (which is purely just for photographers now!) Such a great space to shoot from, and also a private dressing room for me too!

Jan supplied some snacks and coffee- always appreciated!! I loved his easy going nature, and so enthusiastic! You can really tell he just loves photography, and it makes my posing go the extra mile when someone is so passionate about the shoot.

We started off with some lovely portraits, worked to some romantic/fantasy/goddess art nude poses and the time just flew by with all the themes and set ups we did.

As the shoot went on, we had more laughs and a great connection. I am so happy we worked together on this trip, and Jan gets my recommendation 100%!

Models, you would be in very good hands ! I was kindly picked up and dropped off at the station too and Jan was so helpful with everything.

I had an absolutely wonderful shoot with John during my first trip to the Netherlands. John was actually the first person I shot with and what a great way to start the trip. Comms with John were brilliant, he gave me an idea of things to bring along to the shoot and explained what styles he wanted to do.

On the day he collected me from the station and dropped me off... on first meet he was very polite, friendly and chatty. We had a giggle right from the start!... The whole shoot itself was full of chat, giggles and tea!

We worked through a variety of ideas and styles at a relaxed pace creating some wonderful shots, John also listened to my own input and we worked with some different ideas John hadn't done before!...

I would certainly recommend John & hope to work with him again in the future!... He was friendly, creative, relaxed, professional and respectful!

I really enjoyed shooting with John! He is such a lovely person, so sweet and respectful- and of course a talented photographer full of amazing ideas. He's full of creativity and had so many accessories and clothes for me to work with in his studio.

He made sure I had plenty of refreshments and snacks, and that I was warm at all times, during a very cold week in The Netherlands- which was much appreciated.

I really love the photos I saw off the back of the camera and I'm excited to see the photos in time.

I would really love to work with him again should the opportunity ever arise, and recommend him whole-heartedly to any models who want to work with him. Thank you John for a lovely photoshoot!

Jan’s studio is equipped with a fantastic selection of jewellery, clothing and props (mostly in the guise of various chairs), and I had fun shooting fashion portraits and art nudes with him, and wearing some of the clothes. He had a dressing room opposite his studio, which was much appreciated.

I found him to be professional, respectful, easy to work with, and felt comfortable throughout the shoot. Highly recommended!

Jan's shoot was my last booking on my visit to Holland during my recent European tour... What a way to end a fabulous shooting spree in the country! :) I cannot stress how enjoyable it was to shoot with Jan, and how fun our actual meeting was! We met the weekend before when I was casually posing over a coffee table for another booking that just happened to be in the same building as Jan's studio... Jan walked on by and gave us a jolly greeting and it wasn't until we bumped into each other again upstairs that we properly realised who each other were and had a true giggle about the whole thing! :D

When our shoot date came around, Jan very generously collected me from the local station which was a big help to me considering the luggage I was dragging around... he also had amazing confidence to get me back for my train after the shoot which was a slightly longer distance one so quite important to make. What a star he was, showing true help and courtesy wherever he could and also being a thoroughly joyful photographer to bounce ideas around with as well.

Jan's studio is beautifully equipped, his wardrobe and accessory collections are above and beyond impressive... he fired up to make sure I was warm enough and in no time at all upon arrival: He had the tea and biscuits out on offer. Tremendous hospitality and respect toward the people that he books, I was completely comfortable from start to finish and also had lovely facilities for makeup/styling also which is a big help for a model if you plan on tackling different looks. And as it happens: we certainly did tackle some very exceptional looks! Jan has some stupendous ideas and will move heaven and earth to get the lighting looking beautiful. You can tell he knows his studio well by the way he works, it didn't matter what the challenge was: Jan took considerable care to make it work with patience and an incredibly artistic eye. He's a cracking photographer without a shadow of a doubt.

It was really nice because Jan welcomes a rapport with his models and was all for sharing ideas/hearing suggestions and getting a nice spin going on the set changeovers. His feedback as you pose is really lovely an encouraging too, it's nice to receive as an experienced model because you then know to work a look more or change it up a little and it would be lifting for new models as well who might be a little nervous/unsure of how the images are going to look. Jan's a star and I can only reiterate on what the other lovely models who have shot with him have said... his etiquette is what every model wants to be met with and his upbeat and positive approach gives off such good vibes when you work together.

I can honestly say that I very much look forward to working with Jan again on my return to Holland. :) Highly recommended for sure!

calm, relaxed, well prepared, great visions and an outstanding feeling about photography and use of light.

very well set up in a big studio with so many (read: too many) pieces of clothing, jewelery and other stuff to make the best shots.
