Pre-communications were friendly, polite and organised. I was well informed of the shoot ideas and what Jim was looking for.

Jim brought along a variety of amazing fashion items, including clothing and also accessories.

Jim is very knowledgeable in his profession, I'm very pleased with the results from the shoot.

100% recommenced. Would happily shoot with him again.

I had a pleasure to work with Take in the Alps recently. It was a completly different experience compared with other photo shoots. Jim is a wonderfull human being, he is not only a photographer, he is also an incredibly talented painter and writer. Full of positivity, compassion and love. He is a spiritual person, that I am as well so we understood each other very well without extra words. We bonded with each other like we know each other for all life. I felt very natural, relaxed and comfortable while working with him. Jim took a lot of different beautiful outfits and accessories, that I tried on. He was very patient, kind and helpful. We made some great work together and we created beautiful pictures. I really enjoyed a photo shoot with Take in The Alps. I will work with Jim again and again. I truly, from all my heart recommend him to everyone.

Finally got to shoot with Jim and it was definitely worth the wait! Felt very comfortable and relaxed. He's awesome at everything - styling, photography, conversation you name it. He made me feel inspired. His passion and enthusiasm and personality and just way of life was contagious and I felt he really brought out the best in me.

As I'm sure every model can relate, a long shoot can sometimes feel loooonnnngggggggg however this absolutely flew by and am already looking forward to shooting again.

I would 100% recommend Jim, I can't wait to shoot again and can't wait to see the pictures.

I had an amazing shoot with Jim at a fabulous castle location he had secured for us in my local area.

The location was utterly mind blowing, with endless shooting opportunities. But what really made the shoot was Jim’s styling and the effort he had put into planning different sets/outfits and characters. The whole shoot was SO much fun and the time went by way too quickly. I really enjoyed doing something different to what I would normally and loved the fact that it was heavily reliant on playing different roles and characters. It was one of the most creative shoots I’ve done in a while and I thoroughly enjoyed chucking myself into it.

It is a true collaboration working with Jim. Whilst he has ideas in mind he is more than happy for the model to have input and add to the character/set. I love the images we got and how varied they were from one set to the next too!

Jim looked after me incredible well as it was very cold inside the castle but he gave me plenty of breaks to ensure I was as comfortable as possible. He was also very accommodating as my husband was driving me he made sure there was a nice area for him to sit and edit whilst we shot to save him finding a nearby cafe.

I thoroughly enjoyed our shoot together and really hope we get to shoot again in the future :)

You couldn't get more genuine than Jim, he's certainly no impostor...

His wonderful smile.. his dirty laughter...

There's no one like Jim, he's PoZer's "happy ever after"..

He's more than a client.. more than a photographer..

More than a stylist.. more than a model choreographer...

He is more than a friend.. we've been through "the up's" and "the down's"..

He has been there for me through sadness.. then been the one to be the clown..

We have cried happy tears and then sad..

We've done thing's that have made us happy.. and things that have driven other's mad...

We have both had it tough.. we've both had it rough..

These experiences have made us who we are.. who gives a stuff ?

If you don't have the shoot of your life with Jim..

I will dive off a cliff.. straight into a sardine tin...

You'll have fun beyond belief..

Where do I even begin with writing a reference for Jim?

If you’re another model reading this you’ll know how long an all-day shoot can feel, how it can drag. Then you get those shoots where everything is amazing and you feel like you’re in a whirlwind… well my shoot with Jim was just like that, just a million times more incredible. I’d fallen down the rabbit hole and I’d stepped into Narnia, it was a day of truly magical moments.

Jim booked me for an all day shoot that he’d planned for seamlessly. From suitcases full of clothes from your wildest Nicole Farhi fantasies, to organising an Imperial classic car ride, Jim had thought of everything and sprinkled magic on it.

Our day was divided into thirds, beginning at a local nature reserve where Jim made sure that I was always comfortable, warm, watered, fed and happy. We shot at various locations that Jim had previously scoped out, shooting different looks and concepts. Jim has such an easy, eloquent way of conveying the emotions and subtle nuances that he is looking for in his images, this not only made my job considerably easier, but also significantly more enjoyable. Discussing topics of art, acting, style, the mind and mental health… I truly could have chatted with Jim until the sun went down and the birds flew south.

The rest of the day then seemed to fly by! Jim had organised a stunning classic car and a driver for our shoot which made me feel like a Hollywood film star and the luckiest model alive… it was a blast!

We then moved to the final segment of the shoot which was at a local studio. I don’t think I’ve ever, had so much fun in a studio. We brought the place alive by collaborating on ideas, developing themes and concepts and by the end my face was actually hurting from the grin that had it made itself a permanent resident on my face.

100% would I recommend Jim. He’s one the world’s amazing and truly special people. If you get the chance to work with Jim, jump at it. He’s a one in a million.

My shoot with Jim was one of the most magical shoots to remember! I felt like a real life princess, in a real life fairytale in an actual real life castle!

From the offset, Jim was so understanding about the fact that I had another job that morning before our shoot, working an event where I couldn't give him an exact time as to when I would be done.

As soon as I met Jim, I noticed his quirky dress sense, which matched his fabulous personality! I felt instantly at ease! His awe & appreciation of the castle as he described details of it & showed me around, instantly gave the shoot that magical feel!

The whole shoot was a pinch me type situation, genuinely! I felt very lucky to have shot in such a beautiful location & Jim clearly did too. He had imaginative ideas for the shoot in the respect of shoot themes & clothing. He brought garments himself that he had collected over time, which was so helpful as I didn't have time to pack a suitcase the morning before my first job!

A girl who actually lived in the grounds of the castle allowed us to use outfits that she had in a room that was specifically made a dressing room. She even gave us an outfit to use that she had created herself at a design college many years previous to that as it was perfectly fitting for the shoot theme that we had planned.

The rooms we used had such character, and the outfits complimented the themes perfectly! This only added to the flow of magical energy that ran between myself & Jim which enabled us to bounce brilliant ideas & create unbelievable results!

Not only did everything run so smoothly, but Jim constantly complimented things that no other photographer had commented on. You can literally see, hear & feel the passion oozing out of Jim as soon as he sees art! As I posed, he noticed and commenting on things like the light capturing my eyes as I looked into the natural light through the window. You'll see from the results that he did indeed capture this in a photograph as he saw it!

I have goosebumps writing this reference, because its bringing back the whole magical feeling all over again for the experience. I feel so incredibly lucky to have experienced the day that I had with Jim. And for having the opportunity to even be around such a magical aura that he posseses!

Thank you again Jim for noticing the finer details about me that no-one else has! What a wonderful human being & talented photographer you are!

Wow, what can I say about Jim... one of the most creative photographers I have ever worked with! His passion and enthusiasm is contagious and he has a momentous amount of ideas!

Jim has a fabulous wardrobe collection which was sure to give us plenty of variety, including many accessories and props to add to the shots too.

Jim is amazing at being able to get in the zone and encourage models to bring out true emotion, which ultimately shows in the images. His story telling shots is a great way of doing this. Jim provides a creative space to really explore this and it was really refreshing to be able to connect from within to really get the shots we were aiming for.

I had such a wonderful day shooing with Jim, and I left on such high energy.

I can't wait to see the images and I hope to work with Jim again soon!

I had my first shoot with Jim at Natural Light Spaces while I was in England this year. Pre-shoot comms was a breeze, with Jim being very communicative in the planning and lead up to the shoot. On the day he arrived at the studio with a plethora of props and outfits to experiment with which was a treat! I loved his collaborative and creative approach to the shoot, and the way he really wants the model to play a character and be involved with how the concept unfolds. I loved working in the styles that Jim was keen to capture, and the emotive, methodist and experimental approach he wanted to take to the shoot! He was also equally keen to give me space to working in ways which I was accustomed to and to make use of to my stylistic strengths of dancerly and fine art style posing.

He was an absolute pleasure to work with, producing beautiful work and also being excellent company with very interesting and personable conversation. Not to mention the very memorable and surreal highlight of finishing our shoot with a set of flowing and dancerly images using a beautiful vintage silk peignoir and posed to a very inspiring classical playlist of music including Ravel and Chopin, which really captured the mood of the whole session and meant we finished on a high! A great shoot that was creatively stimulating and ended in some beautiful imagery. Highly recommended!

Firstly I want to apologise for the delay in writing this, I am so so sorry!!

But wow, that won't change all the amazing things I have to say about Jim and his ways of work. From the moment we met at the studio I knew this shot would be special, and it was, it blew all my expectations out the window.

From his eye for detail, to all his amazing props which he has a idea for each, to how he envisions and designs each set to fit the mood...all of these tie together to make the most memorable shoot!

Not only is Jim a spectacular photographer he is also a tremendous artist, and a truly gifted man. His images are full of life and he gives us as models the best confidence boost! I left feeling wonderful and that was all thanks to Jim.

He doesn't rush as he knows good images take time and the time flew by! But we still managed to create amazing images, all which are near perfect.

I can't thank you enough Jim, for being so patient, so lovely, and for just being you!

Jim was invaluable on the shoot, he kindly brought so many props and outfits which really meant our theme came to life, he was also kind enough to allow me to borrow them for the second part of the event which was extremely selfless and generous, thankyou.

Jim is a wonderful, interesting and genuine person who is just great to be around.

Jim and I have worked together now a number of times and every single time, we create pure magic! In such a short space of time, Jim has become a brilliant friend to me, supporting me in many ways and being a fantastic shoulder to cry on - he is such a positive influence to me, that my boyfriend doesn't bother checking my live location (something we only turn on for shoots) when I'm with him! Besides my boyfriend, I think Jim may be my biggest fan- a very flattering thought! I'm always eager to work with him and speak fondly of him with most photographers I meet, usually showcasing our work too. We have laughed, cried and produced powerful imagery! His outlook and positivity towards life is so inspiring- the way he talks about things is incredibly poetic. It's rare to find such a gentleman as Jim. It's also worth mentioning his wardrobe is bigger than mine!! We lay out lots of clothes and each bit of fabric sparks a new idea - of which we have many!

I could write about this amazing chap for days, but I'll keep it short(ish) and sweet- just like me! If you want to work with someone who will give you beautiful portraits (and more!) with unique clothing and a wacky sense of humour/great conversations, then Jim's your guy!

I would (and do so quite frequently) recommend him to anybody :)

When does a working relationship, between a photographer and a studio owner become more than a working relationship ? 1st shoot ? 2nd shoot ? 3rd/4th/5th ? 10th/11th/15th ? 100th ? Well in this case it was day 1, whilst Jim was on my Fine Art nude workshop, with our in-house model, Helen Diaz. I was teaching in the morning, discussing famous fine artists, and their use of artistic nude subjects in their amazing work, whilst everyone sat and absorbed my information, Jim was the one that took my attention, as a lover of fine art, Jim and I had respect for the same artists and their work, and all of a sudden, there was nobody else in the room (despite there being 7 more) and that was it... CLICK.... this is where the working relationship ended,all on day 1, and a blossoming friendship grew, through the love of art and photography, I felt that day, that I had known Jim for a lifetime, when only 8 hours had passed, when he left, it was like saying farewell to long standing friend, until we met again.

Jim is one of the very few photographers,that I know, that is a truly "artistic photographer", with his extensive art background, his passion for creating painting's and images of sheer beauty, Jim throws his everything into every single shoot, and in the 17 months we have worked together, the endless shoots as partners in crime, we have under our belts, his work has grown like his art, and his music, and he has become a amazing active member of PurplePort and is now a photographer I look up to, aspire to, and his photographic journey has gone from strength to strength, and there is nothing that will stand in his way, and although I am bias about his work in studio's, as I am there with him, his work with natural light, especially his work in the latter of 2018, and his work so far of 2019, has blown me away, and I can honestly say, he is one of the strongest and artistic photographers in the circuit, currently.

Jim carries the most amazing collection of designer clothing I have ever seen, many garments have a history, even some have a story, which he portrays in every image he creates. His vintage clothing collection makes me green with envy, and every model who works with Jim, get's spoilt with choice, and their faces light up at the huge suitcases, filled to the brim with exciting clothing, lingerie, jewellery, hats, scarves, and the thought he puts into styling for his shoots is astounding, he's better than many stylist's I have met, during my time in the industry, his taste is artistic in every single thing he does.

When Jim come's to PoZer's, it isn't like work, it isn't even a job, its a God given pleasure, we no longer work as a team, a team implies more than one person, when Jim and I work together, two minds, two ideas, become one, we bounce off of each other, (metaphorically of course), and before we know it, the image is captured, and the back of camera shot has the "WoW" factor, everything has come together like clockwork, like it was destined to be, all along, like the entire shoot was planned strategically, when realistically we fall in love with a moment, and capture it, then move onto the next glorious set.

If I could win the lottery tomorrow, I think my creative time and money would be spent, creating art with Jim, but instead of being artistic at PoZer's, we'd be shooting spring street art fashion in New York city, classy acrobats underneath the Eiffel tower in Gay Paris in Spring, models doing cartwheels over igloo's in Iceland in the deep of Winter, Native American's in Tee-pee's in Arizona during Fall, Kangaroo's kick boxing in Australia on Aires rock, in the blazing sun, and Martian's break dancing Mar's.... with photography there are no limitations to the world which you can create, you might be in a studio in Wiltshire, but when you close the doors at PoZer's with Jim, we could be anywhere in the Universe.

If you have the chance to work with this amazing man, don't hesitate, you will be truly treated like a princess, you will have a beautiful wardrobe of stunning clothing to wear, you will have phenomenal images of yourself, like nothing else you have on your portfolio,you will laugh until you cry, you will make a friend with this amazing artist, and you may even be fortunate enough to become one of his phenomenal paintings, trust me, a true honour to be painted by someone so talented, the time, the passion and the talent that goes into Jim's work is heart stopping, breath taking and overflowing with artistic passion. Jim is truly one of the kindest photographer's I have worked with, and so respectful of every model he ever shoot's with. I have yet to meet a model that doesn't want to shoot with Jim, time after time, I would be the happiest studio owner alive, to have Jim at PoZer's 7 days a week, and this is why I can't recommend this amazing gentleman enough to anyone, from model, to studio owner, group of photographers, stylist's, makeup artist's, anyone, as you will have a 100% positive experience with Jim, I can totally vouch for that, I would trust this man with my life.

I had a fantastic time shooting with Jim during his recent visit to Berlin - it went so well that we worked together two days in a row. Jim is so creative and enthusiastic about art and life - the ideas kept flowing and we reeled off several very different sets of dramatic imagery. The clothes Jim brought and the location he booked were fabulous and we used them well. I’m excited about the images and can’t wait to get back in front of the camera with Jim later this year. I recommend this guy very highly.

There once was an artist call Jim,

Who booked a workshop at PoZer's on a whim,

He shot creative fine art nude,

Jim's input was amazing, he lifted the artistic mood,

All of a sudden, photography became his new artistic sin.

Jim fell in love with the art of photography,

Full blown love, for sure, down on one knee,

He brought passion with his art,

More than a bucket load, he brought a whole cart,

He had the eye and the talent, that was easy for me to see.

Jim's photography was an ever blossoming flower,

Spending quality time in the studio with him, hour after hour,

He shot models here and there,

Some sat down, some stood on the stair,

Some in the sunlight, and others in a rain shower.

Jim's model wardrobe is something to envy,

From classic vintage, to Top Shop and trendy,

From vintage Karen Millen,

To River island and chillin,

Booking models from "street style" to "really bendy".

Jim's now travelled internationally as a tog,

Shooting stunning models in Louis Boutin, or clogs,

Shooting in theatres and a swimming pool,

Cinema's, streets and icebergs, how cool ?

Using disco balls and machines that create fog.

Whilst working at PoZer's, Jim brings flowers to every single shoot,

He's brought a Habitat slatted bed, a wing back chesterfield and a dining room table, God know's how it fit's in his boot ?

I am never surprised at what he brings,

Did I tell you that Jim actually sings,

With his guitar at hand, this man also plays on a band,

And he's serenaded us all, what a talented brute.

Every time Jim visit's PoZer's, I feel blessed that he's come into my life,

He is so creatively artistic, we have such a laugh, it get's us through troubles and strife,

Two peas in a pod,

Worshipping some creative God,

And living life on the edge of a knife.

Jim is the most kind, caring, wonderful model respecting chap,

He hate's GWC's like me, and just wants to give them a slap,

His model safety is high,

Higher than any cloud in the sky,

And he would never make a model feel like c**p.

If you have any doubts in your mind,

And think I am saying all of this to be kind,

Work with Jim yourself,

Don't get left on the shelf,

He's the best photographer around, you will find.

Now we have reached the end of my rhyme,

If you have any sense you'll work with Jim, at least one time,

You have to give this wonderful guy a go,

Weather rain, sun or snow,

Take in the Alps is a climb.
