Oh my goodness, it's getting harder and harder to leave Jim a reference, not because he doesn't deserve one, quite the opposite, every time we meet and shoot together, I learn something new about this astounding gentleman, I am truly, truly, blessed to have Jim in my life and would never change a thing. You can probably see all PoZer's references, you've probably even read them, you probably think we are bonkers, Jim's references to me, are equally descriptive and make me blush and shed a happy tear... Jim came to PoZer's because he is a wonderful artist, a truly amazing creative and he wanted to paint our in-house model, Helen Diaz, so he came to capture some images of her, so he could create a piece of art, and this was the moment he fell in love with photography, and I met someone, I felt like I'd known for decades. Jim has been back to PoZer's numerous times now, the latest was on the bank holiday Monday, with the stunning Pippa Doll, and it was one of our best shoot's yet, and that takes some beating, we've had so many amazing shoots together. Jim's visits to PoZer's are always eagerly anticipated, just like when you haven't seen your best friend in ages and ages, your all excited to catch up, then when you meet up, you have so much to say, your life stories to tell one another, experiences to share, jokes to crack and laughter to be had by the bucket loads, you end up forgetting you have a shoot to focus on, your so busy being wrapped up in each other's creativity, and that of the models, in this case, Pippa Doll. Jim has gone way beyond a client at PoZers now, we are "creative nightmares" when we are together (this is a good thing), we are both madly in love with photography, both fall in love with the moment an image is captured, and bounce off of each other, like we've been working together forever. Jim is an astounding human being, he has done so much with his wonderful life, he has so many amazing stories to share, so many photographs to capture, so much art to paint and a zillion songs and music to share with the world, how can you not adore being around this creatively magical man ? Jim has so much knowledge about the art industry, it's been his life, and I love that he shares it with me and the models, each and every time he visits. Jim has made me realise, that I am not the only artist that behaves in this way, that falls in love with an image, and will remember everything about that mesmerising moment, that will last for ever. Jim has made me laugh, he has seen me cry, he has given me hope when I have felt down, and made me feel so grateful, to have shared his photographic journey. I am so glad that Jim chose PoZer's to shoot Helen, I believe it was destiny our paths crossed, he is an amazing gentleman, and if you get to work with Jim, you will have the same experience, he is one of the sweetest, kindest, craziest, funniest and most amazing artists, I have ever had the honour to meet,and work with, and I promise you, that your shoot with Jim, will leave you feeling a million dollars, and he will make you feel like the most beautiful individual on the earth, because that moment you are captured in his lens, to Jim you truly are, or he wouldn't book you. If you get the chance to work with Jim, snap it up, I want the world to know this fabulous creative, you will love every minute of your shoot together, I can 110% guarantee this, he's truly a wonderful man, and a beautiful friend, who I am honoured to have met, and grown to know, and I am looking forward to many more shoots and many more years of friendship with this lovely, lovely man. You must think that Jim has moved into PoZers, not quite, just yet, but it’s close to me kidnapping him, and locking the doors !!!! Only reason I haven’t, is because his beautiful wife and daughter, need this amazing man, how could I be so cruel ???? If you read my references below, you will already know so much about Jim, but that won’t stop me talking about this fabulous man, because each time he comes to PoZers, he’s another step into his photographic journey, we started together with Miss Diaz.

Today’s workshop was with out beautiful in-house Model, the phenomenal, Helen Diaz, this time we put on a Burlesque show, for our photographers, and Jim was 1 of the first creatives to book this amazing workshop. As always Jim arrived nice and early at the studio, time for a cuppa and a catch up, along with several of the other photographers. Jim is one of the most talented creatives I have at PoZers, his list of creative talents, and capabilities, spreads right across the board, from dedicated and talented artist, to musician, and his breadth of knowledge across these genres, is captivating, he has so much experience, knowledge and stories to share, this makes him a unique creative to work with. Please, if your considering working with Jim, don’t think twice about it, there’s no need, Jim is a perfect gentleman, sooo very talented, full of wonderful and tantalising life experience, your shoot will be amazing, no matter what the theme or genre. Jim’s planning skills are faultless, to every shoot and workshop he has such wonderful ideas, his imagination and creativity is exceptional and it’s probably safe to say, there is no other creative photographer, in this part of the country, like Jim at all, after 6 years in the industry and a studio owner for nearly 3 years, I’ve seen hundreds and hundreds of creatives. Jim is kind, caring, above and beyond to every model he works with. Jim’s visits to the studio are always full of so much fun, laughter, happieness, and exceptional creativity, your really missing out if you don’t shoot with him. Jim’s a truly exceptional gentleman, in every way imaginable and the first day he came to PoZers, I was blessed by the heavens. Thank you Jim for bringing so much happiness and joy to PoZers, during every single visit, you brighten up the darkest of days and bring back faith in humanity. Working in this industry is amazing, having people like you in my life and studio, gives me meaning. I had the great pleasure of meeting and working with Jim today at a studio booking in Warwick.

Jim's comms were detailed and spot on, when he arrived he was fully equipped with all of the props and clothing that he wanted me to use and I was happy to shoot with such a friendly, happy go lucky and pleasant gentleman.

The two hours went by so quickly simply due to the nice atmosphere that was created during shooting.

An enjoyable experience shooting with Jim for his future paintings and I do look forward to the possibility of a second shoot on my next tour

Jim is one of those people that are totally wonderful to work with and you come away inspired by their creativity and feel like what you're doing isn't work as you all had too much fun on the shoot.

From the start comms were excellent, he booked at PozersStudio and gave me a shoot plan of what he wanted from the shoot, and he bought loads of outfits that suited my shape and skin tone too - amazing!

Throughout the shoot Jim gave excellent feedback and shared the back of the camera so I knew what we were trying to achieve and how to get the best from the day. He was happy to let me pose freely and we worked really well together.

Such an inspiring and positive and creative person, was an honour to work together.

What can I say about the phenomena that is "Take in the Alps", that I haven't already said before ? Mmmmmm ... plenty of course... Jim has been coming to PoZers for around six months now, yet I feel I have known this lovely man for decades and decades, a lifetime appears to have passed, since we first met, when reality reminded me, (my filofax diary actually) it's only been 6 months. Jim is an unbelievable artist in every sense of the word, in every way imaginable, from photographer, painter, musician, is there no art that this man can not turn into something magical ? I don't believe there is... I first met Jim right at the very start of his photographic journey, 6 months have past, and look how far he has come ? Jim's true passion is his painting, and I have been truly privileged to see quite a collection of his paintings now, several of our in-house model, Helen Diaz, and several others, who will remain anonymous, until Jim is ready to unleash the beauty of these paintings to the models he has photographed at PoZers. Let me just say, they gave me goosebumps, beyond belief, and even brought tears to my eyes, as I was there at the "birth of these paintings", when they were just merely back of camera beauty's, now they are masterpieces, from a true artist, in every sense of the word. You have to appreciate art, and the work that goes into his paintings, to understand the deep, passionate, soul of this artist, and if you ever get the opportunity to work with Jim, on one of his artistic photographic journeys, ending in the most amazing painting, then you must grasp the chance with both hands, you won't be disappointed, as seeing yourself on canvas, must be one of the most beautiful experiences ever, if it touches my heart, imagine how you would feel, looking at yourself on canvas ??? Jim is such a phenomenon, and I can't see why anyone, would not want to work with this amazing artist, not only for his art, but also because of his personality. Jim is everything and more you would want from any photographer, his pre-shoot communication is faultless, his brief's and narratives are perfectly clear and detailed, and the effort he puts into every shoot is astounding.

As always Jim plans he shoots down to fine detail and arrives in plenty of time to prepare the studio and run through the brief. Jim makes it clear from the off, how he wants the lighting, what poses, what clothing etc. He always brings a huge array of very stylish vintage and designer clothing, making every model feel like they are playing "dress up for the day", which let's face it, is the best part of any shoot you collaborate on, and Jim never fails to impress. He works with strong and striking colours, styling the model from head to toe, like no other man I have ever known. If he didn't already have so many artistic skills, he could easily add "being a stylist" to his endless talents, he has a real eye for the clothing he puts together, choosing for the models skin colour, hair colour and figure, perfectly, the clothing is every models dream wardrobe, and this shoot was no different. The four hours we worked together, as always, flew by, working with Jim is like working in a never ending time zone, time ceases to exist when your creating art, you get lost in the moment, when you are truly this passionate and excited about the shoot, your enveloped in the moment you arrive at PoZer's and you become lost, to the minutes and hours that are flying past you, like the wind, before you know it, times up.. how can that be ? Surely not ? Then it dawns upon you... another shoot with Jim is now complete... whatever will we be shooting next time ? I most certainly can't wait. Play your cards right...and it could be you..or you...or you....I just hope it's PoZer's, because as always, it was a pure delight to work with Jim, and I can't wait to see what his next creative brief will be, and see what stunning model he books, to become his next work of art. Had such a fun shoot at the Avon gorge hotel!

We planned this last minute & pre comma were spot on and no errors in meeting on time.

Such a great guy, easy going and we had a good laugh, was very professional and knew what to do to get the best photos in good lighting.

We shot indoors & outdoors. He’d also brought with him a variety of incredible outfits, jewellery & props which was good fun to use and really made the photos creative.

I love his style of work and will look forward to arranging our next shoot and viewing the photos

My first shoot with Jim on tuesday night, later then planned but we created some cool photoshoot memories stunning images created on this duo shoot of me and ivy.

It was super last minute booking due to snow issues the days before but this didn't mean any stress during pre communications! Or even a slight plane being missed..

Jim is very chilled so we didn't really have a plan although he certainly brought his A-game to shoot.

We shot in a stunning hotel room with a superb view.I was blown away with his passion for creating beautiful artful images and we certainly had a laugh through out.

When the stunning Renaissance and I advertised our second duo event in Liverpool at her apartment, Jim was one of the first people to express interest. :D He applied to my casting and was a real star in getting it all arranged: we'd confirmed a time, duration and spoken about outfits/exchanged contact details in a matter of a few emails. Thank you so much Jim for such lovely communications from the start. :)

Now it was immediately music to our ears when Jim said he had a lovely range of his own wardrobe collections he would bring to the shoot... But even that couldn't prepare for the truly magical range that was put before us on the day! :D Jim has sensational taste in outfits for his shoots, this alone shows how passionate he is about styling the shots. From luxury garments to dazzling jewellery. Between his collection, and then what the two models had we could have set up our own department store. :P As we worked through the sets Jim really did have an eye for what outfits worked where too, my gosh he does know his colours and styles! Two professional models in the room with extensive wardrobes of our own and we were literally buzzing at the lush things Jim had brought.

It was a fabulous flow from the word go and safe to say, we all worked smashing as a team. Jim is such a lovely person to work with and encourages the models to do their thing/pose freely, but will also give a shout and communicate when he sees something that works from his viewpoint. The style/mood-range that we covered was epic and Jim captured so many beautifully emotive moments from natural and fun to sensual and arty. He's a versatile photographer who can see beauty in so many scenarios which was great because it really gave us a lot of scope to nail on the shoot. :)

Furthermore, he is a very nice person. Very fun to work with and there was no shortage of laughs in-between the sets. He's a very chatty/social person who brings light-hearted atmospheres to life, but he's completely respectful and professional in his approach too. Everything that a model would like to be met with at a shoot. I really do recommend him to other models who may be in the process of booking shoots in, and I would really look forward to working together again! :)

What can I say about Jim, that I already haven’t mentioned before ? This gentleman is a total legend, and his photographic journey is one of the most beautiful I will undoubtedly, ever experience in my life, and I’m so privileged to be part of this journey. Evertytime Jim comes to the studio, he never ceases to amaze me, how he’s evolving as a photographer, each and every time, his images, his art, his creativity is astounding. It’s truly unbelievable, to see that Jim started with very little knowledge in the photographic side of his art, yet came to the studio, as a fully fledged, qualified and amazingly experienced artist, with years of experience in painting, music etc. I believe that all these creative talents, that Jim is so phenomenal at, is the reasoning behind why he is evolving into such a creative and astounding photographer.

When Jim comes to PoZers, I am always eagerly anticipating his arrival, and when Jim walks into the studio it’s like magic, creative sparks fly, and the next part of the journey begins. In this particular visit, I was so privileged that Jim brought his sister, his niece and his daughter, meeting his family was beautiful. This shoot we had planned in advance, and Jim was going to be photographing his stunning niece, who is a professional ballet instructor, and also shooting his beautiful little daughter, who’s also ballet trained. It was just like having family round for the day, (but better, because you can choose your friends, you cant choose your family, lol) and the day was wonderful as always with Jim, but this time you could see the love and passion, he was putting into each image he shot. These images were carefully created, to reflect the beauty in Jim’s niece and beautiful daughter, it was magical to be there for the entire experience, another part of Jim’s photographic journey, that I was privelidged to be a part of. Time just flew by, we went through multiple sets, the girls had lots of beautiful ballet clothing, all that enhanced the shoot artistically, we varied the lighting to create artistic images that Jim could capture as a photographer, and of course as an artist, because these images were created for Jim to share as a photographer and then paint from.

I absolutely love it when Jim comes to PoZers, it’s always an experience I’m privlidged to be witness of, watching him capture images, that one day will become one of his magnificent paintings, it’s a journey I’m proud to be part of. Jim’s photography has evolved into art so quickly, he’s taken photography on board like a swan to water (he’s far to majestic to be a duck to water), and I really can’t wait to see the next stage of his amazing photographic journey, this man never ceases to astound me, he was born to capture beauty, both as an artist and photographer. Thank you Jim, for all our magical times at PoZers, and for being such a wonderful and amazing friend, and phenomenal artist.

The last month I've been shooting with Jim for the first time, in Sandon studio. What can I say? Wasn't only the most enjoyable shoot I had that weekend, but he is also the most eccentric photographer and artist I ever met!

I totally felt myself (well,I've always been quite crazy and strange to be fair Ahah), finally I could create stories from my imagination and I felt a proper actress!!!

Jim brought also some AMAZING and classy outfits, and also those outfits gave me an idea about the story we could create together.

I'm looking forward to see his paintings and especially to work again with him! Such an enjoyable shoot! I wish I could always work with people like him.

You all models down there need to try him and maybe you'll know what I mean!

This is my second time working with Jim, and I really can’t recommend this lovely gentleman enough. The first time we worked together was at PoZers Studio, Fine art nude workshop, where I was teaching and Jim was experiencing his first ever shoot, where he acted like a professional, not a rookie, he shocked me, Helen Diaz (our in-house Model) and the other attendees, who were shocked to find that this was Jim’s very first shoot.

This time Jim came back for some one on one lighting tuition, with the stunning Clare Topaz. Jim and I had a meeting about this shoot, deciding on costumes, props, makeup, accessories etc. Jim provided me with an exceptional brief, of what plans he had through his 6 hour shoot with Clare. This all included. Clothing changes, desired lighting setups and styles etc. So as a tutor, he made my job exceptionally so much easier. On the day Jim arrived early to enable us to have a pre-shoot brief and start to get the first set ready for Clare’s arrival. When Clare arrived Jim made her feel comfortable from the off, he is so kind and caring, it would be very hard to be in Jim’s company and be nervous or not relax. Jim explained his plans for the day whilst I completed Clare’s makeup and hairstyle for the first set. As the shoot went on, Jim soon had a great understanding of what the lighting was doing, being a fine artist himself, he already has a huge understanding of light and shadows, probably moreso than most photographers, little own, newbies in the industry. Jim captures quirky angles, he frames beautifully in back of camera, which many new photographers would leave until editing, loosing potential information. Jim moved around the studio like a true photographer would, you’d never have believed this was only his second shoot. Each set ran smoothly, Jim’s brief went to plan and we ploughed through all the sets we planned for, which some professionals struggle sticking to their brief, Jim nailed it. If you are even thinking of working with this amazing gentleman, think no more, I really can’t recommend Jim enough, there is nothing not to love about this amazing man. He is so kind and caring, great fun to be around, has a wonderful kind and caring personality and nature, and for him, his models well-being is just as important as the images he captures. Please don’t think that lack of references or experience, makes him a photographer to avoid, Jim is an artist through and through, an amazing one at that, this reflects in his work and his creative attitude and capabilities. He has an artist background throughout his life and this reflects in every image he takes, he may Be new to photography, but he is a master in creating works of art, and having an understanding of the industry. Jim knows far more than he will ever give himself credit for, and I am delighted to be part of his photographic journey, this man is multi-talented beyond belief and it won’t be long before he’s a phenomenal artistic photographer. Thank you Jim, for coming into my life at PoZers, you have made 2017 a total pleasure and I can’t wait to watch you flourish in 2018, into the amazing tog I know you have inside you. I recommend this fine gentleman to any studio, any model, any makeup artist, stylist, designer, tutor and fellow photographers. Jim is a 10/10 photographer with an amazing positive and phenomenal attitude to life and the industry.

I worked with Jim for the first time the other day and had an absolute blast!! Jim had kindly booked a place on a fantastic Art Nude Workshop hosted by the amazing Alley at Pozers studio in Swindon!

I am always a little nervous working with groups- especialley with photographers I haven't worked with before- or with limited experience- but from the start of the shoot Jim was a complete gentleman and I found him extremely respectful and great fun to be around!

Jim is an artist first and foremost- so I believe this was his first ever shoot with a model- but you wouldn't have thought of it! He has an immediate connection with whoever he is speaking to and is a joy to be around.

He has a very endearing, quirky, creative personality that you instantly warm to and it felt like working with an old friend. We had great banter and conversation throughout the shoot and I was often in histerics around Jim- he brings the best out in the model!

He was also complimetary and very kind, I felt very appreciated and respected as a model-and had such a great day! I really loved his sprit and really hope to work together again- no doubt we will keep in touch! Smile

PoZers had the pleasure of Jim’s “first photographic experience”, when he attended our fine art nude workshop back in September, with our wonderful in house Model, the fabulous Helen Diaz. From the moment Jim walked through the door we clicked. As it was a fine art workshop, Jim knew all about the artists I was discussing, even more knowledgeable than myself, but Jim is a fine art artist, so I can be forgiven for my Student knowing more than myself !!! Lol !!! I felt during my theory teaching, that it was just Jim and myself in the room, finally I met an artist and creative, on the same level as myself, it was inevitable we would become friends. Of course Jim sailed through the theory section of our workshop, but being an artist and never ever shooting a Model before, I really expected Jim to struggle during the sets we created with Helen, but to my astonishment, Jim took to shooting Helen like a duck to water, this phenomenal Gentleman was born to have a camera in his hand. I was blown away, and if Jim hadn’t have portrayed being the kind of person who is as honest, as the day is long, I would have thought he’d been shooting for years !!!! During every set, Jim listened to everything I said, and this amazing gentleman moved around the studio beautifully, capturing quirky angles, working with the complex lighting set up, to his full advantage, it was like watching ball room dancers, gliding around the floor, floating from one step to another, during a championship competition, Jim was born to do this. I have never, ever seen a complete rookie fall into place like this, it was so beautiful to watch, I was totally amazed, he even brought a tear to my eye because I could see the passion, excitement, and commitment Jim was making with every shot. I was checking Jim’s “Back of Camera shots” expecting to see some huge mistakes, who could work the floor like this, AND get it perfect back of camera ? Right ? OMG !!! Jim did !!!! His images were stunning, he’d made full use of every picture captured, he’d cropped tightly to capture perfect portraits, even in his full length images, he’d cropped beautifully and you could see he had focused perfectly on Helens face throughout.

Spending the day with Jim, has to be in the top 5 of the best experiences, I have ever had at PoZers. Watching this artist evolve into a photographer in less than one day, was magical to say the least. Jim owned the studio as much as the professionals I have through the studio doors. He was born to do this, and I feel so so so privelidged, he had his first photographic shoot at one of our workshops, and this was the day, he fell in love with another genre of art. Being a portrait artist already, had Jim in good stead for photography. He’s already amazingly knowledgable about the fall of light and shade, how to bring out textures, how the light falls naturally on the skin, depending on where the Model stands in comparison to the studio lighting. Jim might have only have had this one shoot , but Jim came to PoZers as an amazing fine artist, then left being a fully fledged photographer, he had more knowledge than many of the photographers I’ve had at PoZers, it was Jim’s Destiny to do this, don’t let his lack of experience put you off, this means nothing. You will work with Jim, fall in love with the images and the wonderful gentleman that is Jim. He is one of the kindest, attentive, caring and glorious gentleman, I have ever had the pleasure to meet. He collaborated with Helen like a pro, he will look after you during your shoot, he will think about how hard your working and look after you like a princess. You will genuinely believe that Jim’s been doing this for years. If I hadn’t have known the truth, I would never have pointed him out, as the rookie in the room that day. Work with Jim and he will give you a totally amazing and magical experience. Jim arrived at PoZers as a fine artist, rookie and stranger and left a photographer, experienced photographer and a friend. At the end of this workshop, I felt like I’d known Jim for years and years and we’d been friends for decades, I can’t wait to have him back to PoZers and follow his photographic journey, and I’m so proud to have written his first reference. Thank you Jim for coming into my life and making my job such an absolute pleasure.
