As always, I had a fantastic studio day at art asylum hosted by Steve. The studio is so brilliant and has so many different options for photographers. There are so many areas that will inspire. I also went for a walk in Weymouth by the beach and the harbour, and it was so good, I cannot recommend the studio enough I’m becoming a bit of a regular there, and for me, it gives my clients everything you can possibly need in one place. I can’t wait to go back again. Steve is so accommodating, knowledgeable, and friendly there is nothing not to like at art asylum. Xx

I attended a Group Shoot at the Studio organised by Steve (The Owner) and Melanie (The Model).

The day was fetish themed and well organised, there were a few sets one was especially built for the day in the Bed room area of the studio, with net drapes and coloured lighting. The other was using a black backdrop as well as props and GODOX studio flash in the main studio.

The day went well with Melanie switching outfits and posing up to topless levels for all of the photographers that attended. I enjoyed the day and came away with some varied images. It was good to meet the other photographers as well.

Unfortunately I had some technical issues with both my Canon Camera AND my Panasonic camera. (The studio has flash triggers for both systems). So, in the end, Steve lent me his Nikon camera to shoot one set on. This was very good of him and I could continue to shoot pictures. Thus saving the day. He also makes great coffee.

Thanks everyone for a great shoot.

I really enjoyed attending one of Art Asylum's organised photoshoot days. The studio has two well proportioned and equipped rooms and Steve is very hospitable. The model for our day was Mel4nie who seems to be a regular so the atmosphere was relaxed, which certainly helped. It's a bit of a drive for me, but I'm sure I'll be back.

I hosted a fetish group shoot here at Art Asylum. A concept which was discussed at great length and test shot with Steve, the resident photographer prior to the date of the event.

Comms as ever were great with the studio in terms of bookings taking place and updates to the number of attendees.

Steve as always ensured the event ran smoothly to ensure everyone kept to time and no-one hogged me.

Lighting was set up however Steve was on hand to expertly tweak the arrangements to the needs of photographers present.

Steve- the studio owner is one of the most accomodating people I know ensuring both models and photographers are comfortable, well hydrated and having a great shoot.

Art Asylum has always been one of my favourite creative spaces.

Thankyou for your hospitality.

I had my first studio day at art asylum studio and I can't recommend the studio enough! Steve was there with everything ready for the day ahead. The day ran smoothly and Steve was on hand with teas and coffees and hosted the day effortlessly. I hope to return to the Studio again soon! Thank you :)

What an amazing studio day at Art Asylum Reloaded and what great host Steve is!

I arrived for my first studio day and was greeted by Steve and offered a hot drink right away and shown around.

The changing room has lots of shoes and outfits that models are welcome to use and the studio spaces are great especially the sets that have been created.

I felt safe in Steve’s company and really had a great time with him, he’s down to earth chatty and makes sure the models needs are met.

I will definitely be returning here and shouting to all photographers about this place because it’s a great place and atmosphere to work in

Thank you for having

Highly recommend

I made the three hour journey to this studio and was pleased it was a 2 minute walk from the station. Met Stevethe manager, who is very pleasant and customer friendly. I was there for the casting, where the model, Infinity Valerie was hosting. The studio is well lit. All my natural light work were successful. The studio is comfortable and filled with well curated shooting spots that work. I used the main studio and Steve as always was helpful with assisting where needed but never intrusive during the shoot. I felt very comfortable. Steve's hospitality is pleasing. A great studio with functional facilities. I highly recommend Art Asylum reloaded photo studio in Weymouth.

I finally had the chance to work at the lovely Art Asylum Studio and I'm so glad I did - it definitely won't be my last! Steve contacted me with regards to an interested photographer booking me in the studio, and after a few messages the date & time had been organised - his pre shoot communications are fast and very clear super helpful!

Upon arriving at the studio (admittedly a little flustered from a wrong turn!) Steve offered me a hot drink and a tour of the studio. The studio itself is well equipped and had so many sets to offer, I had a half day here and didn't even get round half of them!

The natural light is fantastic but equally the studio lighting is top notch. The studio is located a stones throw from the beach so I was delighted when we headed out to shoot some fashion along the promenade!

I was frequently offered a beverage and Steve is such a helpful person, even accompanying us to the beach.

I had a truly lovely time here and definitely hope to return soon - thankyou for an amazing day!

I was very fortunate to be part of the new sets designs and to be amongst the first to shoot them.

If you haven't already seen the Victoriana set which is bathed in natural light, there's the new boudoir set to check out. Soft pastel colours with a gorgeous white canope which difuses the light. The set oozes feminity.

Then there is the gentleman's smokers set. A gorgeous wingback chair with a side table of little niknacks such as a vintage phone and camera and a glass decanter to top it off.

Little mini ares too such as the mirrored back dressing table and the turquoise minichair.

So many sets to fill your imagination and still plenty of room to shoot and that's not even touching the main shooting space with the white infinity wall.

If you haven't shot here in a while, it is most definitely worth a visit back.

Steve as always is a welcoming host and knowledgeable to help set up even the most complicated of lighting arrangements.

Without doubt, one of the best studios on the South Coast.

I had my first of what I hope to be many shoots on a studio day at Art Asylum Reloaded. I was able to share my plans for the shoot in pre comms and after being given a welcome coffee, Steve, the owner confirmed and setup the lighting. Following a number of shots with that set, Steve suggested the natural light in a different section of the studio. Great advice resulting in even more great shots with the model.

The facilities are outstanding and with the support of Steve I was able to get the shots I envisioned.

Highly recommended.

My first visit to this studio since it relocated to Weymouth. A studio day with KatyB was a great taster session to see just what opportunities are available. And what great opportunities they are. All the standard studio facilities, including a huge selection of lights and modifiers, are supplemented by natural light in the second room. A couple of sets give added variety with period features like a wonderfully textured wall expand the options.

One extra bonus is a hugely helpful and knowledgeable resident photographer. Steve was always on hand to assist where needed, preempting my requirements for one set by completely rearranging the main room whilst we continued shooting in the other space.

A fabulously flexible and creative space. I hope to be back soon.

Woohoo! Love working at this studio, gotta be one of my favourites to shoot at.

Me and Steve always seem to sell it out quite well, and its always a team effort with how much we promote/reach out to people who may be interested.. so when we see eachother again knowing its gunna be a fun flled weekend of shooting and making money - were usually both in quite high spirits! (unless its before 9am) haha.

The studio had changed a bit from last time i was here, with the changing room being more roomy and lots more props and dresses and shoes added to Steves wonderful collection... A nice big mirror and a bunch of bits and bobs which might come in handy to a model whos working there for a 2 dayer.

He is always ready to offer tea and coffee and is always there and ready to help if the photographer needs a hand with lighting or a set change.

Steve is a wonderful studio owner with a great sense of humour and good relationship with his regulars that work there often. He makes sure im safe and comfrotable and he really does put his energy into making the space hes got one of the most versatile possible. With natural light for boudiour and feminine sets and then some grreat lighting options for studio set up in the other room.

Im looking forward to my return! Expect a message from me soon!

This was my first shoot at the studio, so I arranged to visit a couple of weeks beforehand, to meet Steve and gather ideas for my final shoot plan.

Steve was most affable and helpful, giving me a guided tour of the building, the props and wardrobe. Essential coffee was provided upfront too! :)

Having understood the possibilities for both natural light and studio lighting, I then had a much better sense of what I wanted to do.

To 'complicate' things Steve was due to be away at the time I wanted to shoot, and the model only had a short time window available.

However, Steve set things up perfectly, by arranging for a regular tog at the studio to deputise for him. This not only enabled me to have the shoot, but to enjoy the support of Mike, who assisted me on the day.

Great operational flexibility, a rich choice of setups and, ideally for me, close to Weymouth train station.

Yes, I very definitely recommend Steve and the studio and hope to be able to work there again.:) With thanks to both Steve and Mike.

I am a regular at Art Asylum and what I love most about this studio is the fact that it is so diverse.

It has a lovely natural light boudoir area, along with its white infinity wall, set amongst its industrial looking bare brickwork.

Yet there is so much more to this studio.

I was fortunate to help create a new and exciting set at the studio echoing the feeling of a byegone era with a Victoria vibe about it.

Please make sure you stop by and check it out.

This is a great studio on the South Coast and is so under-rated.

Did I also mention the owner Steve is kinda cool too!

On a serious note - get down to the studio ASAP- you don't know what you are missing!

I have shot at Art Asylum Reloaded on many occasions and yesterday returned for a studio day after a 6 month break.

Steve is an excellent and knowledgeable host at this brilliant studio.

Great equipment, natural light space, white wall and props all make for a fantastic shoot.

Very highly recommended and I am sure I will be back on many occasions in the future.

Another day at Art asylum with Steve ticked off the list and I left a very happy model, not that I expected any less of course!

A little about Steve, who is one of the most accommodating and down to earth studio owners and also makes an awesome coffee, very much look forward to more chats thanks for an awesome day Steve!

The place! Is just stunning, not only is it well equipped with great props and furniture it also offers a full natural light space with authentic wales and windows aswell as a full curve studio space!

I love it here, oh yes the beach is outside the front door too :D I would recommend again and again!

Art Asylum is becoming a bit of a home from home from me. I absolutely love working here because Steve is such a lovely guy. He is very easy to get along with treats his models with care and respect, and you feel looked after and cared for! What’s more to love it comes highly recommended by me and Model so you have to book a studio day here as you won’t regret it! I think a little known fact about the studio is you are right next door to Weymouth Beach which also provides amazing photography opportunities! So it has studio facilities as well as lifestyle outdoor facilities! Highly recommended

This was my second shoot back at art asylum in the last week! I love this studio, not just for the studio but the people too, I've met and continue to meet some awesome individuals here and of course it wouldn't be that with out the studio owner Steve! Always on board or in the background there to help out- on a personal level and as a professional to assist as and when needed. The studio has everything needed from lighting, to backdrops, props, shoes and costumes! I always love having a rummage and wearing something new and different and take full advantage of it here. Really chilled out space, brilliant natural light, private spacious dressing room and various areas that have lots of different potential.

See you again soon!

I have so much time for wonderful spaces, such as Art Asylum, hosted by lovely people, such as Steve. Organising my studio days were so simple and easy, and the studio days themselves were really lovely.

The space is excellent, and the studio is in such a great location, close to the train station and the shore. It really isn't at the end of the world, only a few hours from London! I particularly love the natural light space within the studio, it's very unique and the attention to detail to this set is fab.

Steve is a wonderful host, going above and beyond to look after me during my time. He really takes looking after models seriously, and assisted photographers with lighting when needed. Spending time in places like this reminds me why I enjoy modelling.

I would recommend this space in a heartbeat!

Almost a year has slipped away since the last shoot I did here.

The interesting space has carried on being interesting, and has been refined, and there's an online booking system which works.

All easy.

We used the curve, and the daylight end, and all went smoothly.

The lighting and gadget (and tea) assistance is masterful and welcome.

I hope not to stay away so long next time.
