Another shoot at Art Asylum Reloaded, always a pleasure, Steve the owner is such a placid, charming gent, we get on really well and can always have a laugh. Steve likes to make sure I'm comfortable at all times and are getting on OK with the photographer as well as making sure the photographer is getting on ok with the lighting the space and everything else available within the studio. Shot with Steve, the resident photographer at Art Asylum. He is a great host. Friendly and willing to share his knowledge.

The dressing area is spacious and well lit. Plenty of props and clothes/accessories if ever you forget anything.

The boudoir area is light an airy. A great feature is the roll top bath with plenty of shoot ideas.

The studio area is spacious and has some great quirky features to it, not found at other venues.

Great array of lighting which Steve is only too happy to help you use

Whether you are a model or a photographer, you should definately check this place out for a shoot.

What a great studio, you can tell the owner Steve is a serious photographer as the spaces are so well set up and equipped. It has lots of natural light so you have a real opportunity to set a variety of different moods within the studio, which makes for an ideal creative work space.

With its atmospheric features and warehouse styling there is nothing bland and boring about shooting in this studio.

With its dedicated changing area and a kitchenette as well it has everything a model or photographer could want.

Steve is helpful well organised, fun and professional.

I would highly recommend him and his lovely studio and I look forward to shooting there again.

Im a syndicate member at the studio. But was great to be back shooting at the studio.

The studio has a great deal of potential with a bedroom set which is a new york appartment as well as a bath set. there is also a white wall and different coloured back drops and a textured brick wall corner to shoot in.

Steve is always on hand to help with lights if need be as well as giving advice on angles or what might look a good shot idea.

Haven't shot at Art Asylum for a while so it was great to be back and see the changes Steve has made that offer new opportunities for shooting here. Steve was ever helpful and discrete at the same time making shooting here a pleasure and very happy to recommend to other photographers who I'm sure will find something to please from the many sets and extensive equipment available. Thanks Steve!

Art Asylum is a professional studio with the backup that a studio should always have, Steve was on hand all the time of the shoot to be that person who knows what and how to get that special shot. The model Charley suppressed her standard and was an absolute treat to work with.

This resulted in another shoot with her for September. Well at lest the holiday season should be over by then.

Had my first studio day from this fantastic space yesterday! Steve is a great host , very professional and always happy to help with everything the photographers needed ! From lighting to endless cups of coffee !

The Art Asylum is very well equipped and with beautiful sets and backdrops ! I absolutely loved the natural light room !

The perfect studio for all themes and styles and I can't wait to return back :)

The photographer booked this studio for a shoot, it was my first time visiting (and will not be the last)! The studio was pretty easy to find, Steve the owner was warm and welcoming and gave good direction for parking. The studio is split into two rooms with a cute dressing room with SOO many props and outfit options, loved it! The décor was modern with a rustic twist but soo many clever options/areas to mix up themes and style! Definitely recommend.

I shot Marissa Eva at the Art Asylum Reloaded studio this week. The studio has a normal room with the plain background which works well, but a particular feature is the front room which has a bed, sofa & bath all set up to look like they are completely different locations. It made a really flexible space, which was very good value. I plan on making a longer trip next time, and shooting several models there. Thoroughly recommended.

I had my first shoot at the studio today with one of the resident models (Alexa Allure).

Steve was an excellent host, from making refreshments, moving equipment/ props, or just answering technical queries from this relative novice, nothing was a problem.

The Studio is well equipped, with many lights, modifiers, backdrops and an excellent (in my opinion) white infinity wall, which had to wait on this visit.

I used the charmingly rustic, natural light/boudoir area which has been laid out to give you many options for how you would want to style your shoot.

I would totally recommend Art Asylum Reloaded Studio as an excellent place to get creative and I will definitely be returning

I booked on to Melissa Tongue's studio day as I'd long wanted to shoot here - even having done a recce to Weymouth to get the exact location down - and it couldn't really have been better!

Steve is a brilliant host, for whom nothing was too much trouble thoughout the time I was there. His own imaging and post skills are something I can only aspire too! The studio itself had one of those really calm feels about it - the rushing around and stress of the day seemed to just disapear as soon as I walked through the door. There is a large variety of lighting equipment and modifiers, I stayed in the main studio space but the rustic boudoir space looked amazing too.

I will certainly hope to be back relatively soon!

100% recommended.

I had a great time yesterday at my studio day! Steve's comms were spot on and we managed to sell out within a week!

Steve was a great host, the studio is well equipped and the organisation was brill.

Already looking at booking another studio day this year!

Had my first shoot back at the art asylum with the wonderful Steve Layton and WOW has it been transformed!

It is a wonderful space to shoot in and you can tell how much time and love has been put into the revamp.

With natural light, boudoir set up, white wall, and textures left right and centre I can't wait to get back there and creating again.

To top it off the changing room is very well equipped and extremely spacious. Has everything you need and more.

This was my first shoot at Art Asylum since it's revamp and I'm really impressed, the boudoir suite is looking awesome and the models changing room is much bigger and well equipped. A really lovely quirky studio with a really good feel about it and Steve the owner is always on hand to help if needed.

Great to be back shooting at the Asylum.

More new toys, sets and props. It's amazing the amount of possibilities in this space. I love having the option of natural or studio light to work with, and always helpful advice from Steve.

Was great to finally get to shoot at the Art Asylum Reloaded Studio.

Great studio with an awesome natural light shooting area, with great sets and props, which really suited the ideas I had.

There is a good infinity cove and set of lights, that enabled me to shoot the rest of my moodboard.

Steve is a great studio owner, helping out when required, keeping out of the way when not needed, and generous with his drinks making skills

We even got to shoot in the alley, and next time the stairs will be in use

Steve as always was on hand to give real assistance when needed besides being that good host providing beverages to warm both me and the model. THe studio was ready and shooting area was nice and warm, regretfully the outside temp dropped like a stone.

I will defo return for another shoot as soon as Boris lets us shoot another project. Its one of those locations that just has it right, on the time and on that day, with the backup help if needed.

See The Best In You

This was my first shoot at Art Asylum and if I’m frank I was a little nervous as my studio experience is limited. I needn’t have worried as Steve was very welcoming and soon had a hot cuppa in my hand.

Steve was particularly helpful, giving sound advice and helping me set up the lights. He even helped me wrap Christmas parcels for the shoot. All the way through he was there for support but was always happy to give me space to try different settings.

On this shoot I was concentrating on the infinity wall and then a red background but I definitely want to try the natural light/distressed wall in the future. There’s also a phenomenal range of lights, props and accessories and I even got my fist experience of gels.

I’ll definitely be back in the New Year!
