References for Carla Monaco

I have wanted to shoot with Carla for some time, and yesterday I finally got the chance at her studio day at 2G studio. It was well worth the wait, Carla was lovely, down-to earth, enthusiastic and full of ideas, had a great range of outfits and we worked through several looks. She poses without direction, and almost seemed to read my mind on occasions getting the look that I was after.

Having started to edit the images they are all good, the difficulty will be deciding which of them to use, I am already thinking about when I might be able to plan another session with Carla, if you haven’t already shot with this real “ super model” do it now.

I did my third assisted location shoot with Carla and Adrian today: I've nearly completed The Four Seasons now, it being Spring today, and having previously done Summer and Autumn! Not sure about Winter location shoots in this country though... ;-)

As before, my hosts for the day had already found numerous photogenic locations so it was a simple matter of driving from one winning spot to another with no wasted time, enabling us to cover a good variety of locations again. Amongst other things, we shot in fields of rapeseed and wild flowers, and caught the last of the bluebells in some woodland, all in the quiet Wiltshire countryside near Swindon. Carla's ever-changing outfits always perfectly matched the locations she knew we were heading to next and it almost goes without saying that her modelling talents are second to none so it's not hard getting amazing shots, and we were helped along by beautiful weather today too.

This was my first shoot with some new lighting gear, so Adrian was spared the heavy lifting of the sturdy lighting stand and beauty dish that I had borrowed for previous shoots. Instead, I had a small dome diffuser on my portable flash (which turned out to work surprisingly well!) and it was easiest for Adrian to simply hold it rather than faffing with any lighting stand at all! He looked funny holding what resembled a hand-held speed camera (or maybe a laser gun or a hair dryer!), but it saved a lot of set-up time for each shot.

It's not often that you have the luxury of an assistant on a location shoot, but it does make a difference, and with such a beautiful and fabulous model as Carla too I really do highly recommend these shoots. Book yours now and make the most of countryside this summer!

I have wanted to work with Carla since meeting her at a studio day quite a few years ago.

Quite why it took me so long to get around to it, I have no idea. Anyway Carla was nothing short of exceptional from the moment I messaged her.

Pre shoot communications were perfect, where we bounced ideas off each other, and messages were recieved and replied to in a timely manner. The shoot was at her home where I was made to feel most welcome by her and Adrian, he even offered some advice and guidance pre shoot which was hugely appreciated. The photos as you would expect have turned out incredibly well, more testament to Carla's ability as model over mine as a photographer. I honestly can say I haven't worked with anyone more friendly than Carla, and I truly cannot wait to plan another shoot with her!

I would highly recommend to everyone!

An Eye for Beauty

How can I not recommend Carla wholeheartedly when I have just had my 25th shoot with her. It's like working with a friend, and we fall into action within seconds, having caught up on life stories. I was only saying to someone a few days ago, in the light of this shoot coming up, that Carla can express herself beautifully in so many different genres. Yesterday was the same. We did some more images for my current 'Impressionist' project (nude and costume) and then some fashion, nude and beauty. Unusually I did some rare black and white images which worked very well, and I look forward to editing. One thing is certain, Carla and I will be having at least one more shoot later in the year. Thanks once again, Carla.

I've been wanting to work with Ms Monaco for years. It finally happened yesterday, and it was well worth the wait. She isn't 'arf good.

I can't add anything new to the 1057 glowing references that she already has, so I'll just say this... Here is a model who is a the top of her game. She has a wealth of experience and a shed-load of creativity. Her input to a shoot is invaluable.

Hang on. There's something else... Despite being very well-known as one of the top models out there, Carla is soooooooooo down-to-earth. She has a sparkling personality and a good sense of humour and there's absolutely no diva-ness whatsoever. So my shoot was not only highly productive but was also hugely enjoyable.

Had a great day at Gloucester Prison with Carla, it was very cold and Carla worked with me to produce some great images, never complaining about the conditions and always happy to try different styles and outfits.

We also did some duo work with the lovely Emma Jayne to produce some interesting 1960's looks which worked well with prison background.

Thank you for some great work in difficult conditions.

We had a fabulous day at Gloucester Prison with Carla, Emma and Dave last Sunday in the cold!

We did a couple of themed shoots using period dresses some one to one and some with the lovely Emma Jayne. It was so cold in the prison, we actually went outside to warm up, but no-one complained we had such a great time.

Carla is so lovely to work with, and she makes me feel like a much better photographer.

Great to work with Carla and Adrian again remotely during Carla's 60's themed remote weekend. Having worked with Carla both in person, and during the last couple years remotely, I knew we'd get great results. Carla and Adrian quickly did an overview of the set up as it had changed a little since the last time I had shot Carla remotely, and then we were straight into the first look. We managed to get through several different looks within the time frame of the shoot and got some great 60's themed shots.

I can highly recommend Calra's and Adrian's remote set up and highly recommend her for in person shoots too.

My first shoot with Carla was her remote Sixties themed event. Communications were excellent before, during and after. Styling and organisation was superb and it was obvious she had put an awful lot of thought and planning into this shoot. Lighting was well arranged from the start with first shot being a keeper. Carla models like a boss and completely sells every look and pose.

Was this shoot amazing, yes it absolutely was. Great fun, lovely person and so keen to add value to the shoot. Image link arrived promptly after the shoot.

Must also thank Adrian who rode shotgun on technical support and made the whole thing easy for me.

Totally amazing shoot and can’t wait for our next.

I had my first shoot with Carla after replying to her casting call. Carla was super accommodating considering my travel plans and availability. The locations were all very well scouted before hand and the shoot went like clockwork. Its a pleasure to work with a professional like Carla, and I will be looking forward to working with her more in coming months. Very higly recommeneded.

My eleventh shoot with Carla was highly significant as this was my first one since March 2020. I had been looking forward to working with her for quite some time and it really was fantastic to catch up with this lovely lady whom I have always regarded as a true friend.

I took her up on her very kind invitation to shoot from her fabulous home in Swindon, and it made for a relaxed and somewhat informal occasion. It felt more like an afternoon spent around an old friend's house rather than a photo session. Carla even got her very beautiful guitar out and gave me some magic moments with it.

I must extend my gratitude to both Carla and Adrian Crook. They thoughtfully provided me with one of my favourite herbal teas and also prepared sandwiches for us.

Considering we found a lot to talk about during the six hour slot, we also produced an incredible amount of truly magical footage which feature an amazing diversity of styles and moods ranging from vintage fashion, lingerie and implied nude.

I sincerely hope it won't be long before I get another chance to work with Carla. In the meantime however, I want to thank both she and the equally fine and upstanding Adrian for such an unforgettable day.

My third shoot with Carla, and it is very difficult to put into words how enjoyable it is to shoot with such a professional model, the shoot today was quite generic in that wanted to do 60s style and a little Hollywood style. Shooting tethered all the images just seemed to stand out and were looking fabulous. If you have never had a shoot with Carla please do so it is an awesome experience with a thoroughly fantastic person. Thanks again Carla and look forward to another shoot soon Andy

There is nothing I can add to the thousand plus positive references that Carla already has. However I had the opportunity to work with Carla and Artemis Fauna today. It was one of the best shoots I have done, both models were superb. I just wanted to shout out how brilliant they were.

If you ever got the opportunity to work with Carla and Artemis then you want to grab it with both hands, you will not be disappointed. I recommend working with both models when they are solo and together they are fantastic. This in one duo you do not want to miss!

I have shot with Carla before. Shoots with Carla are all ways great fun and Carla is a great model. Shooting with her all ways lifts my mood. Friday I was able to shoot with Carla and Atemis Fauna. Thoroughly recommended.My mood was lifted twice as high.

I had a wonderful shoot with Carla and her friend Artemis Fauna at Inspire Studios last week. Carla is very well organised, and made sure everything was arranged for the studio day, keeping me informed. She came with a large wardrobe and worked naturally with Artemis, coordinating clothing between them to suit the moods I wanted to portray. The duo are great together, very natural, very gentle when posing (as that is the style I chose: I am sure they can do anything else decent you may need!). Both girls are excellent independently, and together fabulous. I would happily work with either or both together again. Highly recommended.

If you ever get the chance to shoot Carla & Artemis together jump at it. I did and am so pleased with the results. Their sheer professionalism comes through on every shot. They naturally pose together with a great feel for getting the pose correct.

I haven’t shot with Carla in the studio since I can’t remember when - so the chance to shoot with her and Artemis on a duo day was too good to miss.

With over 1000 references, there’s little point repeating this outstanding lady’s professionalism, so I’ll just say that she’s still a total delight to work with – on her own or part of solo or as part of an incomparable duo with Artemis.

Two hours flashed past way too quickly, and some excellent images, solo and duo were captured, in between the banter and nattering. An exceptionally pleasant start to the 2022 shooting season, and one which I hope to be able to repeat in the not-too-distant future.

In the meantime, I can’t recommend both Carla and Artemis highly enough.
