On Saturday I attended Carla and Adrian's 'Spring Assisted Location Shoot' and it was such a wonderfully inspirational shoot. Carla's pre-comms were excellent and as soon as I met Carla and Adrian I felt totally relaxed. Apart from being stunningly beautiful Carla's modeling was outstanding as she moved from pose to pose seamlessly with each image being amazing. Both Carla and Adrian are such interesting and lovely people and I had a great time chatting to them. I had a mystery tour around Wiltshire which was truly magical with a lovely selection of woods and even a hut to shoot in! Thank you both for providing such a brilliant choice of locations. I had so much fun and the shoot was truly inspirational. This was one of the very best shoots I have ever attended. I very highly recommend Carla to all photographers - you'll get such amazing images. I'd so love to shoot with Carla again - I can't wait. Thank you so much Carla and Adrian for an amazing day.

Carla is lovely to work with, extremely accomplished and full of ideas.

Our last session was at Basford Hurst Cottage studio where we shot 1/1 and duo with the great Artemis Fauna. Carla, as usual just turned on the magic. Had a great time on one of Carla and Adrian's London Street Fashion Shoots. It nearly didn't happen for me because of planned train strikes (thankfully called off just in time!), and even then there was further train hassle travelling up to London due to flooding on the line causing diversions and delays. However, I made it in the end and am really glad that I did because it was (of course) just as well organized as the Assisted Location Shoots that I've done with Carla and Adrian in the past :-)

We met up at a well chosen café in Shoreditch for coffee and a snack before going out shooting. Four photographers in all were on the group shoot, making a sufficiently small group that everyone got a good amount of shooting time, and not much time was wasted walking between locations because our hosts had good shooting spots planned out already. Carla did well braving the chilly start to the day, but it brightened up and warmed up a little later on, and at least it didn't rain. She's just as friendly and helpful in a group shoot as when working 1:1, posing flawlessly as always, attentive to each photographer's requests for what they would like when it's their turn, and always interested to see the back of camera shots throughout the day. Adrian marshalled us around effectively, ensuring that nobody got lost and everybody got a fair chance of shooting at each location, and also picking up the café (and micro-brewery!) bills along the way each time we stopped for refreshments and outfit changes etc.

All in all it was an excellent trip, making it possible to do a shoot that would otherwise be logistically difficult and/or cost too much if I arranged it for myself on a 1:1 basis. There is nobody better than Carla and Adrian to do this kind of thing with, so if you fancy a change from whatever you normally do then I would highly recommend these group shoots, which are run several times through the year :-)

This was my 2nd London fashion shoot with the fantastic Carla & Adrian, they are a lovely couple and great to work with. The shoots are well planned and organised you are looked after from arrival to the end of the shoot.

An Eye for Beauty

Yesterday I had my 27th shoot with the lovely Carla - and already looking forward to the next! We really gell together with chat and production mixed in a healthy balance. This time we started with some images for my 'Belle Epoque' project, and Carla, as I knew she would, dressed her hair superbly as an'Edwardian'. It was so good and suited her so well, that we kept it even when we were shooting her own outfits - the only downside I didn't get to record her lovely cascade of blonde hair! I was feeling a bit low for a number of personal reasons, but as soon as we hugged and began the shoot, three hours melted away. Thank you so much, Carla, for being you and being such a versatile model. I now look forward to some great editing. See you later in the year.

I was very happy to get the last 2 hours of Carla’s day at Inspire Studios Salisbury, not so happy now that I have to sift through 225 absolutely perfect images (there might be 10 images that were not “keepers” from the entire shoot - all where I messed up my settings!)

Carla was poise and grace throughout the the shoot and when she saw I was struggling for ideas - we smashed my entire plan in the first 45 mins - was really great about suggesting additional nuance to style and poses.

Definitely planning on shooting with her again!

Carla had been on my WLTWW list for years. Finally I took the opportunity during a studio day at Inspire Studios. All those years' of excellent references were not wrong. Carla is an absolute delight to work with. From the first natural light portrait to the 'painterly' art nudes and fashion nudes, nothing phases her. She puts everything into each shot and brings ideas that only add to the outcome.

Just hoping she will come to visit my studio in France when it's up and running.

Carla Monaco and Artemis Fauna came to run a duo studio day here at Basford Hurst Cottage.

Carla is friendly, professional and a real joy to spend time with. She is an incredible model and worked extremely hard throughout the day to create many incredible images.

I would have no hesitation to recommend Carla and I really hope to see her again soon!

Another great remote photoshoot with Carla today. Just in one hour we got through several various looks and setups. We ran through various portraits and art nude, using props and various tops. I recently had my fourth remote photo shoot with Carla. Titled Classic Artistic Remote Shoot Day, we worked through several different looks and setups. The result was very beautiful classic nudes and portraits.

As with the previous shoots, everything was well prepared and we were able to devote ourselves entirely to the art without any technical difficulties.

Carla is a wonderful model who offers one beautiful pose after the other as a matter of course, but at the same time also implements suggestions from me. The time flew by, I got the images I wanted and we had a laugh at the same time.

I received the files of the pictures the same day and am more than satisfied with the results. Thanks also to Adrian Crook, who was helpful with the technique.
