References for f/8 Studio

I LOVE it when I have a modelling job at f/8, this was my 2nd Wednesday night workshop with Paul and the lovely photographerd who attended (I'm terrible with names).

Every time is different, fun and exciting for the model and from what I can see Paul is a great teacher whether you're a complete beginner photographer, semi pro looking to try a new style of photography and everything in between. I definitely say book yourself a place at his workshops when you can, it's an opportunity you don't want to miss!

I had a fun shoot with Lottirose at F/8 Studio in Gloucester. The studio has everything a photographer could need.

It has a warm easy going attitude and Paul makes everyone feel at home.

The studio is getting a positive response from all the models and photographers who attend.

I have booked a few more visits in the next couple of months and would highly recommend.

The first time shooting in a studio I have no idea what I was doing as I normaly shoot out side and dont use flash or lights. I was a bit worred about how it would all go.

The man was amazing and very helpful and stop it truning into a complete nightmare.

I ended up with some great photos and was very happy.

This was my third visit to Pauls excellently equipped studio. He was, as always, a great host. Very helpful and supportive when needed, quietly getting on with his own thing when not.

During this visit Paul gave me a few lighting hints and tips, plus we discussed how I might shoot another project which I’m planning. It was a pleasure to use the studio and I look forward to using it again soon. I highly recommend Paul and his Aladdin's cave of lights, modifiers and props to anyone.

I absolutely loved my whirlwind visit to f/8 Studio last week. It started with a booking and then Paul arranged for me to have a studio day there the following day, which turned into two studio days as they booked up so fast. Having eight shoots in three days is pretty intense but it's a joy to work at f/8 and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The place is clean and comfortable and well equipped. Paul was incredibly helpful throughout my time there. He made sure every photographer had the perfect lighting and several times he turned the shot into a masterpiece by bringing in the perfect prop, accessory or garment to take it to the next level. Thanks Paul for being so observant and hands on, it was very much appreciated. I'm already looking forward to my next double studio day in May. Bring it on!

Another great studio day at F/8,

its a brilliant studio, Paul is fab and is always on hand to do lighting set ups, give suggestions etc to keep the day running smoothly.

I love it here and am definitely coming back later in the year :)

f/8 Studio is one of my locally situated studios.

It is very well equipped and set up, and though all the lighting, reflectors and props may easily become overwhelming, Paul the owner is always on hand to offer support - or a cup of coffee.

I will regularly use f/8 in the future as a 'go-to' studio, and would recommend it for anyone in the area or passing by

Adventure in Imagination

I held my first organsied photoshoot for my clothing brand at F/8 studio on 30th January and it was absolutely amazing. Paul was so friendly and welcoming, both on the day and the week before when I popped in to get my bearings and have a chat. His knowledge of the fashion photography industry was invaluable and he was very generous with his knowledge and time; not only helping me set up the lighting, but also explaining what he was doing and suggesting lighting schemes that I would be able to duplicate at home. I would absolutely recommend hiring F/8 Studios or attending one of Paul's workshops as he has so much information to pass on and he is a very good teacher and eager to help. Looking forward to going back as soon as I can.

I worked at F/8 studio for the second time recently and had a fantastic experience. The studio is a great size, very well-equipped and Paul is a lovely, friendly guy who makes you feel at ease straightaway.

Paul has lots of interesting items and props to use; I was particularly impressed by all the chairs he has! :)

I would be very happy to work at F/8 again and hope to shoot there again in the near future.

F/8 is an excellent space! Have shot here a fair few times now, some one to ones, workshops and a couple of model days - it’s got a brilliant array of lighting, backdrops, props, dressing area, amenities too. Paul, the studio owner, is bloody lovely, and so welcoming. Would highly recommend!

I shot for the first time at f/8 Studio and it was well worth the longish trip for the experience. Owner Paul Davies was on hand and provided valuable assistance throughout the shoot, including allowing me to copy the set up of one of his own stylish images. I learned a great deal from Paul whilst I was there.

I have had a yearning to shoot with Broncolor lighting after watching Karl Taylor and Urs Recher instructional videos. During the shoot I had the opportunity to shoot with the 133 Para, globe and large softbox. I got some great images thanks to Paul and my model Eirwen Creed.

Paul also provided access to a good selection of costumes, fabrics and props. The Studio hire rate is great value for money considering all that is available.

I heartily recommend f/8 Studio and I really wish I lived a bit closer, though I will visit whenever circumstances permit.

I had a very enjoyable shoot at f/8 Studio today with Kitty Dawson arranged via owner Paul Davies who provided plenty of on hand assisitance for lighting and helping sort out an issue I had with my camera at the start of the shoot. The studio is easily accessible for me and has a very comprehensive set of equipment plus props, furniture and costumes etc which make it a great choice for most studio shoot needs. Paul is very helpful and easy get on with. I will be shooting there again in a few days time!

This was my first time at the studio and I had a great and productive Studio day at F/8 Studio :)

The space is great for numerous opportunities and is spacious. Paul, the owner is very kind, professional, respectful and helpful.

I look forward to seeing some results from the day. I also look forward to hopefully coming back, if the studio will let me back ;)

I used the wonderful F/8 studio today to photograph a fresh set of images for an actor.

As always the studio is fab to work in and Paul is great, there to offer help and sets up fantastic lighting.

I highly recommend F/8, if you want both lighting and natural lighting, them this is the studio to visit

It is always a pleasure to work with Paul at F/8 Studio.

The studio has everything a photographer could wish for. Combined with all the eqiupment and Pauls skills with the lighting, it is an ideal work place.

It is always fun working at the studio, and I have always had nice pictures from the shoots I have done there.

I have more shoots booked, so looking forward to them.

I have worked at this studio many times before even before it was Paul’s. It’s a great space to work in, nice and warm and great model facilities like a well lit changing room and a clean nice place to work. There is really nice natural light there too. I always enjoy coming and working at f/8. And Paul the owner is nice as well and a great person to work with. See you next time.

Well what a fantastic time I've had modelling at the Sadie&Boom Artistic Ropery event at the F8 Studio on Sunday.

My first time at this awesome studio and with the warmest of welcomes from owner and photographer Paul.

Everything I could possibly need was catered for and the event ran so smoothly thanks to Paul's organisation and support.

It was such an exciting day and I'm so happy to have already arranged another event at his studio and a shoot with Paul in a few months time.

We, Sadie&Boom, were hosted by Paul at his studio for our ‘Artistic Ropery Workshop’ ..

Warm welcome awaited us, halfway up the stairs and we already felt at home, kettle on, the photographers arrived and we were set to go ..

Endless lighting set ups, props galore and the perfect atmosphere gave us the stage we required ..

Nothing was too much to ask from Paul, the day cruised by faultlessly and we were sad that it had to end ..

All in all a great day, respectful group and our next one booked in already ..

Thanks Paul, it’s nice meeting someone completely on the same page as us ..

Clearly we’d recommend a visit to f/8 Studio ..

Have been to F/8 many times before for workshops and group shoots but this was my first solo shoot there and was with the gorgeous Eirwen Creed. I am very pleased with the results.

Paul, the owner, makes you feel very welcome, is always helpful with lighting tips and suggestions for props etc. The studio is fabulously equipped with just about every modifier and prop you could think of and is good value for money.

Hope to do many more shoots there in the future.
