I truly love shooting with J Black - besides the fact he's my fiance, he's just a truly amazing creative. His visions are never ending and he will work tirelessly to produce the very best images he can - which he always succeeds in. The back of the camera shots I see are always unparalleled and unreplicateable. J Black has no problem adjusting settings on his camera and does so with ease, that coupled with his eye for good light and his sense of styling, you're guaranteed stunning images.

His pre shoot communications (besides being verbally to me!) are fantastic. He expresses his visions in such a clear and concise way you can already see the image jumping before your eyes!

J Black is a truly amazing individual with a keen lobe of photography and doesn't have any problems laying stomach down on sand dunes, or kneeling in the ocean to get that perfect shot, like he did on a recent Fuerteventura trip. He's also incredibly kind and courteous of the models he's working with, always checking we're okay, and cooking for myself & Amber Farndon in Fuerteventura during our recent trip where we shot remotely with photographers and needed quick food.

He's an all round good guy and his photography is simply outstanding. His portfolio really does speak for itself.

Wow!

Just not long got back from a lovely tour with J Black and had an incredible time shooting out in Feurteventura alongside Angel Black, they were both such a joy to be around and work with, we shot some E shoots and some beautiful; shots at the clear blue crystal beaches shooting to art nude as I wanted to try out something new. They made me feel at ease and comfortable and the images I've seen so far are stunning. They know exactly how to get the perfect shot and care about all of the smaller details that make an image outstanding and I really enjoyed how well we click and how we never run out of ideas to shoot, I'm really looking forwards to planning more shoots with J Black and would recommend them 100%

John’s a bit of a legend really. He was giving me tuition during my shoot with Angel on Saturday at a light and airy cottage, challenging me with using different settings than I expected during a lifestyle shoot in a natural light environment. He greeted me at the start with a nice cuppa and we talked about my experience and what I was hoping to get out of the shoot and he and Angel quickly shaped a plan that we discussed and agreed and then got down to work.

He was clear and gave really good concise explanations for trying each change and we adapted to the rapidly changing light and also pointed out the best shoot angles for the conditions. John is very approachable, likeable and we had a great chat whilst getting some great looking shots. If natural light indoors is not your usual stomping ground, then you should definitely speak to John about getting some of his expert advice. I learned a lot and look forward to trying it all out again soon. Highly recommended for sure.

I had the honour of working with John during his Brighton tour.

Both before, on the day, and after shoot communications have been amazing. And I'm blown away by the edits I have seen.

When I arrived at the AirBnb, I was given a very comfortable and friendly welcome. we spent a short amount of time discussing what I had brought with me and in what order we'll be shooting in.

During the shoot, conversation came easy which made a very relaxed atmosphere. John was happy for me to pose on my own and didn't hesitate to go with the flow once we started walking round Brighton. During the travel between locations John would show me the images he'd taken (and can I just say I don't think I've ever seen such wonderful raws)

If you ever get a chance to work with this wonderful photographer then you are very luck indeed. His images are an asset to anyone's portfolio.

I very much look forward to seeing more edits and potentially working with you again in the future.

I worked with John this morning as part of the Team Black tuition he offers with Angel and have to say he is great.

Really knowledgeable and a great photographer to learn from, he doesn’t go too fast and seems to know how to really help you get the best out of the time on the shoot. Very friendly and easy to get along with.

Would definitely recommend tuition from J Black / Team Black and hope to work with them again in the future.

John is so kind, an artist and a proper gent. I throughly enjoyed every minute of my shoot with him at the fabulous rawpics studios. It was my first shoot back after having my son and he was kind patient and made me feel totally at ease. I found I got back into the swing of things straight away largely due to The fact that I felt so comfortable with John and lovely Angel who was helping him out that day ( as I’m sure most of you know she is normally a very busy model) I loved chatting to her about the industry - her knowledge and experience is something I have found r ally handy for me to learn from - thank you angel. But overall I couldn’t recommend John more he is a fantastic photographer- with so much experience and knowledge and his artistry is spot on - thank you John and angel xxx

I always enjoy being in the company of John as he has a great manner and such a great talent in capturing moments with models that others appear to miss.

He has a great eye and works so well with any model, regardless of their experience, he manages to get the best from them all.

I had my second shoot with J Black and I would recommend working with them! Very creative and fun to work with! They have a beautiful home studio that is full of variety. We shot a duo with Angel Black and had a very enjoyable day, shooting sets from lingerie, implied and autumn fashion, J black and Angel Black are both very lovely company and we have some very exciting things for the near future lined up.

I had such a lovely shoot with John & his lovely assistant Angel Black. Angel came to help out with the reflector and her lovely self, we all got on so so well and enjoyed a lovely couple of hours shooting away and having a very creative time, I have seen a few images so far and I’m so so impressed by what we have achieved, the back of camera shots were beautiful and Johns knowledge on photography was fabulous. - Got some great things planned for the future together and I would recommend John and Angel 1000%

An absolute corker of a shoot and a total honour to work with John on a WW2 camp location shoot at the end of his tour with Team Black events.

Despite wrapping up a marathon of shoots, he steamed ahead and made me welcome and off we went!

He had a great eye for the best angles and use of the themes available (given the unexpected harsh sunshine also throwing a challenge!) And was such a professional and artistic chap, I had a real pleasure to create with him.

Completely scratched my itch as an actress to make scenes happen and tell the story. Having wanted to shoot with him for a while the opportunity was one not to be missed.

Utterly Love what I saw off the back of the camera and would love to shoot again.

Absolutely Recommended.

Hey everyone,

It was great another shoot with team Black and especially with John. He is a great photographer professional who knows the light, knows how to work with the light, he is specific with poses but usually, he gives the power to lead and if you what you doing you will make great pictures!

This time John was hosting me and it was very sweet, he is a very reliable and trustworthy gentleman. We had two days of shooting, the first day remote and next with John! I really enjoyed both days, it was fun, warm, deliciously sweet, and welcoming! Looking forward to our next shoot! Very reccomend!

An absolutely incredible 2nd shoot with John on Wednesday which consisted of some fabulous sets and backgrounds at his Team Black Events studio in Somerset. John had fantastic concepts and creative ideas that we achieved both on location and in a studio set-up. It is always a pleasure to work with John and I always leave beaming and thrilled with the results of the day! One of the many great things about John is that he allows you to view the images as you go along which is brilliant and a huge help! Throughout the day John was extremely attentive and ensured I was fed and watered..! I am already planning for our next shoot in August and cannot wait to create more magic with you John :)

Had a great shoot today; super accommodating for me and understanding to shoot later in the day which I am grateful for and made it worth while as we got some really awesome shots from the apartment , which was a great space! Really relaxed and no pressure shoot, I felt really comfortable and was able to look through the images throughout and at the end as well which is great! Definitely recommend, really professional and friendly offered me refreshments and snacks which is always appreciated! Did 4 different lingerie sets in 2 hours which I’m more than happy with - if you are booked in to shoot with him you won’t be disappointed! ☺️

I had another great shoot with both John and Angel today. John was a great help with gel lighting, which had been set up mostly prior to my remote shoot. I always appreciate the input and assistance in the lighting, and look forward to catching up on the visit north when its possible. I would reccomend him for any shoots you may have.

I had such an amazing experience shooting with J Black photography, he hired a beautiful apartment with amazing scenery giving us a chance to capture some beautiful images. It was effortless working with him and even the raw photos were insane I would happily just use those! Extremely professional with great ideas! John booked me for a 3h shoot, in a very nice apartment he and Angel Black UK, his lovely partner booked during their tour in London.

I'm glad I had the opportunity to work with John while they were around!

Firstly, John is super chilled out and easy to work with which made me feel very comfortable.

Secondly, John is a very talented photographer with a great knowledge of the light. As a result, we've created stunning pictures!

And I have to mention the massive bag of food they brought which is a quite important point for me :D

At the end of the shoot, John and Angel kindly gave me a lift home which was very appreciated. And I had a lovely chat with Angel!!

I highly recommended John and his partner, a lovely and professional team to work with!

What an amazing shoot with John! He was incredibly friendly and welcoming, putting me at ease straight away. It’s always important how a photographer makes you feel as it really affects the images you then produce together.

Artistic, open to suggestion and having his own great ideas, John is the ideal photographer. Great to talk to, and generally an all round great guy and photographer, I’m extremely happy with the RAW files we have created together and cannot wait to see the edits!

Very happy to have shot with him and looking forward to any potential further shoots.

I got the chance to shoot with John on the first day of his stay in Hampshire.

Communications pre-shoot was brilliant and we had a thoroughly enjoable time. John was polite, courteous and knew exactly what he was doing.

The back of the camera shots looked amazing and I would have no hestitation in recommending him.
