John recently had the task of delivering my natural light themes as photographer for Team Black.

John has an excellent understanding of natural light & delivered quality images. He also has a great eye for the genre I was looking for.

It's clear that John & Angel have a great understanding together & this really shows in the images they have produced for me & I would have no hesitation recommending them for eShoot.

I have just had an other eshoot with John & Angel, this time they partnered up with Layla Jean for a girl/girl shoot.

As per previous eshoots their pre-shoot comns were excellent, after explaining the type of images I wanted they understood exactly what I was after.

The images were sent through to me on the day of the shoot and as usual were excellent and John deleiverd exactly what I wanted.

If you want to do an eshoot in these troubled times then I cannot recomend John, Angel and Team Black high enough

I got to shoot with J Black again and it was amazing!

He always has an eye for detail, he never fails to produce a stunning image! I know when I have an email from J Black Im going to open a beautiful image which is perfectly edited! J Black it’s very artistic & creative!

I would never pass down a photoshoot with him! I shot with him solo on many occasions and also shot duo shoots with him and the lovely Angel!

These two are a force to be reckoned with! They’re amazing!

Had the great pleasure of doing an eshoot with Angel and John. Right from the very start of my initial enquiry she was very helpful and told me exactly what I wanted to know and answered all my questions. I’ve never done an eshoot before so it was comforting to know. Angel suggested taking ideas from her portfolio and we discussed ideas and outfits etc. The images arrived exactly when she said they would and they were exactly what we spoke about, the quality was superb. I’m very happy with how it all worked out, Angel was very pleasant and helpful and John’s images and photography were brilliant. The images were taken just as I would have taken them. Angel and John work together as a great team. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone about trying an eshoot with John and Angel. Thanks to John and Angel.

When I saw that John was doing more eshoots with Angel I could not resist arranging another one with her and Team Black.

Preshoot coms were clear and concise confirming they understood exactly the sort of images I was after. They kept in touch advising when the shoot would take place and I recieved the images back the day of the shoot. As always they are superb and captured exaclty what i wanted, I look forward to editing them over the dark winter months.

Highly recomended if you want to do an eshoot

Hopefully when situations allow and it is safe we can eventually arrange a shoot in person.

I decided to face facts and improve my lighting techniques, and for me there was only 1 person I wanted to tutor me for this, and that was John. Ive shot with John a few times during workshops and TeamBlack tours (with Angel), and I knew that John would put me right. And he did brilliantly. I shot with Angel Black as the model, at his home studio, and John methodically and simply explained why I wasnt getting the quality of images I wanted, and how to improve that. Im a 'doing' learner, and John made me setup up lights as I would normally do, and talked me through the correct and incorrect things I was doing, and no question was too stupid.

4 hours just flew by and I learned so much, and things I knew were put into context. I came away feeling so much more positive about my lighting and cant wait to put it into practice.

I also got fed and was kept well supplied with coffee and brownies.

I completely recommend John as a tutor, who with Angel make up TeamBlack. We all need to learn, and he makes it easy.

John organised a Hollywood Style lighting workshop at my studio recently.

His communication leading up to the event was perfect in every way.

The day before the workshop he arrived to set up the three lighting sets ups with props, ready for his students.

On the day of the workshop John was here very early ensuring everything was perfect.

On his students arrival John met them with a friendly professional manner and his students were soon relaxed and ready to learn.

John has a great personality and was able to give tuition to all the students at a level they all understood and adjusted it to the level of the photographer.

The day was a great success and every student went away with an information sheet of the days settings, which was a great touch.

I attended the Team Black Hollywood Studio shoot run by John (and Angel). On arrival Angel greeted me and introduced me to John. It was soon evident that i was going to learn a lot as John knows so much about lighting and studio work. He always took time to explain each setup in an understandable way. John is happy to answer any question, he is very helpful, you can ask him anything.

John was constantly keeping an eye on the the results that i was obtaining he and Angel make a good team they both truly care about the images you're getting.

I attended the Team Black Hollywood Studio shoot today run by John (and Angel), and wow what an event. John knows so much about lighting and studio work I suspect hes forgotten more than most ever knew, and can explain the reason for each setup in an understandable way. John is happy to answer any question, however simple but he doesn't make anyone feel in anyway silly for asking it, you can ask him anything.

John was constantly keeping an eye on the lights during our shoots and unobtrusively tweeking as needed, and he truly cares about the images you're getting. John is also happy to listen to your thoughts on lighting and setups and has no problem changing things to your requirements.

If you are thinking of attending a Team Black studio day, do it, you will not go wrong, and youll get some awesome images.

I had a fabulous shoot with John, as soon as I met John I felt comfortable as he’s so down to earth, chilled and helpful, helping me carry my suitcase like a gent.

John was helpful, considerate and professional throughout the shoot. We shot a range of different lingerie, in all the different rooms, in the amazing house he arranged for the shoot, it had beautiful natural light.

We went on shooting latex clothing, I felt relaxed as we went along, he’s great at giving direction, with great attention to detail with angles, ideas and lighting. John made natural flowing conversation. The whole experience with John was so much fun! I can’t wait to work with him again. I recommend John to anyone to work with.

I shot with Angel Black during the recent Team Black Events tour of the West Midlands at an apartment they were staying in. John was a great source of help and support to me, giving advice on the best places in the apartment for the different styles we were shooting and the best setting to use for the fantastic available light. John is an accomplished photographer and his knowledge helped me a lot on the day. He's all a very friendly and welcoming person.

I definitely recommend working with him.

Had an AMAZING shoot with John! He has been on my WTWW list for a while, so was delighted when he contacted me and mentioned his upcoming tour, a little closer to me than where he is usually based!

I only do select TFP shoots, both as a little fun break from paid shoots where I can enjoy myself, make suggestions, and to collab with some awesome photographers to get some new shots for my folio! I was very confident that my shoot with John would qualify for these both!

He pre comms were awesome, John was super welcoming and friendly, he met myself and my chaperone at the car park, and I could tell right away it was going to be an awesome shoot!

We shot at his air bnb, doing some lingerie and some editorial style shots, with the help of a third pair of hands to hold up our makeshift wind machine! From the back of camera, the pics look awesome! I’m super excited to see the edited pictures :)

I would absolutely recommend John, and would be delighted to work with him again! Very professional, friendly, fun, talented, easy to get along with, and I genuinely couldn’t have asked for anything more!

Had an amazing first shoot with JBlack!

He was on a Hampshire tour with Angel and when he asked me to shoot I totally did jump at the opportunity to do a photoshoot with him!

His pre communications leading up to the photoshoot was brilliant! I was met by him and angel and straight away I could tell they were both amazing people!

We did location and also shot around the BnB, Jblack took amazing photos & I enjoyed every minute of our photoshoot!

Throughout the whole time I really got on with Jblack and he made me feel comfortable and relaxed! Jblack is very professional :)

We finished off doing a duo shoot, with me and angel and it was amazing! The pair are amazing to work with and I would recommend everyone to do so!

I will not pass the opportunity to meet with them again!

John was my first client to hire the new studio, so I was a little apprehensive before he showed up with Angel Black UK.

However John soon put my mind at rest as he was blown away with set up and the size of the studio.

Johns communication leading up to the day was perfect, even a text to say he had just left and was on his way.

John Angel and myself sat down in the Chill out area and got to know each other really quickly, John has great personality and is very clearly an experienced photographer with a vast knowledge of the industry.

John was very respectful of the studio and everything that goes with it. He was always polite when asking for equipment to be repositioned light backdrops etc. His experience shone through when directing Angel , enabling him to create so magical shots.

Without a doubt John has a massive talent and is a true professional .

So yesterday I had the amazing opportunity of shooting down in Somerset with amazing @angelblackuk both on location and home shooting. I've shot with Angel before through remote shoots and was excited about shooting with her in person.

What really did make the day so special was the fact that I was super lucky enough to have J Black Photographic as tutor and assistant for the afternoon. I had attended a couple of workshops around the new year working with models and portraiture, then lockdown happened and the rest since then I have been figuring it out and learning on the hoof so to speak.

John was so enthusiastic coming up with ideas and suggestions continuously throughout the shoots, adding that little extra to what I knew would be great shoot. His enthusiasm enhanced the shoot, gave me a lot of confidence, confirming what I already thought I knew but adding some lovely nuances to setting up a shot, setting the camera up beyond what a textbook or workshop could do. The fact that John and Angel work so well together meant I had the complete package and came away absolutely buzzing with new information, fresh motivation and ideas, and I am certain, some amazing shots.

Thank you John for you enthusiasm, encouragement, honesty and patience. I am looking forward very much to future projects.

I applied for a casting arranged by John and his partner Angel (modelling).

The communication beforehand was excellent and the meeting place was explained in advance and easy to find.

The first part was a beach shoot followed by a abandoned warehouse shoot.

John was very helpful throughout and even offered to help me with my equipment over sometimes difficult terrain.

I had a most enjoyable day and came away with some wonderful images.
