I had the chance to finally work at Basford Cottage, I was not disappointed, The place is fantastic to shoot at! Leanne was a superb hostess, Showed us around the place and was on hand for any help needed, Polite and very professional and makes a lovely brew as well

The place itself is fantastic and i hope to be back again soon, So many set ups and places to shoot and what feels like never enough time to do it all, A place that stands out from other studios in uniqueness and standards

Oh my gosh where do I start?!

So Leanne was amazingly helpful from the get go with preshoot communications and advertising my studio day which is so appreciated! She kept in constant contact and let me know when people she knew booked in and when people I'd directed to her had booked in with her. Honestly, organising a day at Basford was 60% less stress than so many other places!

Upon arrival, Leanna showed me round and made an absolutely banging cuppa! The location is stunning and so well equipped with lighting as the sun wasn't quite on our side. I didn't have time to shoot everywhere I would have liked to but it is the perfect excuse to come back which I most certainly will!

This was my first visit to Basford Hurst. Straight away was made very welcome and offered a drink, which having driven through the speed camera capital of the world was very nice.

I was given a tour of the various rooms that were available and lighting.

The rooms were all spotless and well laid out, in fact did not need to move anything. Was left alone to do the shoot but there was always someone to go to if there were any issues.

I will definitely go back again and hopefully with better weather as there are some great areas outside.

If you have not been here yet give it a go, you wont be disappointed.

I had my first model day last weekend at the charming Basford Hurst Cottage. Leanne was fantastic with pre communication and with helping me where she could with promoting my day. Simon was a great host and made me feel very welcome.

The location itself is absolutely stunning, such a classy place with lots of natual light and was very well thought of as a model location. I will most definitely be going back in the summer so I can shoot outside.

Another great visit to the amazing Basford Hurst Cottage, this time for SimoneH's studio day.

The building is stunning with big windows and lovely natural light, new opportunities just present themselves every time you turn around! The only problem is having enough time to use them all. Combined with a warm welcome, endless KitKats and a mean brew it's pretty much perfection.

A great location, if you haven't already been, get yourself booked in, you won't be disappointed!

Had my 1st shoot with ElaineClair at Basford yesterday, it is a truly stunning location, and we had a very relaxed shoot. Leanne and Simon are perfect hosts and there’s always a friendly welcome and a nice cup of tea or coffee when you arrive, and they just left us alone to enjoy our day.

Can’t recommend it highly enough, don’t take my word for it, read some of the other reviews and then book yourself a shoot. You’ll be very happy that you did.

I was lucky enough to have a day shoot here with Richard. I have wanted to shoot here for a while now and finally my wish came true. Leanne was the most warm and perfect host. Refreshments and chocolate. We seemed to instantly connect over a mutual love of cats and porridge haha. We also had a great chat. The location is beautifully run and a stunning setting to facilitate so many looks. We used most rooms. It was a fashion based shoot mainly with many looks including a wedding dress set. I hope to come back again and work there. Leanne & Simon make this place what it is and it’s a true gem. If you haven’t been here already, you must….!

First time at Basford Hurst and it will definitely not be the last, what a fantastic location. So many different possibilities in the rooms with so much natural light streaming through the large windows. The only limitation will be the photographers imagination.

Due to the inclement weather we didn't shoot outdoors but we still had a good look round. The gardens will be getting a visit later in the year, so many places to shoot with the stream running through the property grounds.

Special mention should also be made to our host for the day, Leanne. Made us feel very welcome with the offer of a cup of tea and a kit-kat. A guided tour of the location and then kept queitly in the background leaving my model and myself to get on with our shoot. Looking at Leanne's portfolio, she is also an accomplished model so will be booking the complete package of model and location later in the year.

This is a superb location and I cannot recommend it highly enough to both models and photographers.

The house is stunning all through plenty of places threw out house to shoot and outside ,had lovely time , also was shown around and made comfortable threw out Leannie was always on hand if need assistant and always made sure had refreshments ect

Even my favourite she gave me cream egg

Will be back again in summer , if you haven’t been you have to you wont be disappoint and amazing such lovely host ,

I've shot at Basford Hurst quite a few times now and haven't run out of ideas to shoot there. The studio/location is simply magnificent. It is spacious, immaculately clean and provides a host of separate locations within the main building itself, from the modern kitchen through to a magnificent period Bathroom. There are also plenty of locations outside, including a large shed, a stream, complete with bridge, and a large area of woodland. The whole place is an absolute delight for any photographer, providing for natural light and OCF shooting. In fact I would say you are only limited by your imagination.

I should also like to mention the hosts, Leanne and Simon. More welcoming and hospitable hosts you really couldn't wish for. Being a model herself Leanne has an appreciation of shooting, from a model's point of view, which is certainly apparent in the thoughtful Model Dressing Room. Ive certainly never seen a more comfortable or well appointed one.

At the beginning of this reference PP asked if I would recommend Basford Hurst. I certainly would recommend, and in fact urge, anyone who is thinking about shooting there to do so. You really won't be disappointed. I regard it as the 'Gold Standard' for studio/locations and will be returning again soon.

What a location………..!!

I had an inclination this venue would be special & I wasn’t wrong, the rooms are truly stunning, the options to create are endless. Facilities were spotless with everything thought of, especially in the model’s changing area, lots of thought gone into the little extras

Lovely and warm, clean, tidy, option to use their own lighting & array of soft boxes was a real advantage

Leanne & her partner were really friendly & welcoming & showed us around & provide really good coffee & a plate full of chocolate goodies which was really appreciated then we were left to do our thing, with Leanne being on hand if we had any issues or questions

I had a few hiccups with my booking & changing dates & car problems but Leanne was really helpful, understanding & flexible with moving my deposit to new dates we managed to get booked in…….. thank you again for this

we had an awesome day & cannot wait to return very soon & I 100% recommend you get visit very soon

A gem of a location, my first 1-2-1 booking having attended 2 events previously. Very welcoming owners, spotlessly clean and warm and an amazing array of locations for photography in the house and outbuildings. I was here for 4 hours and simply ran out of time working with the natural light and with the owner Miss_C modelling for me. I had a thoroughly enjoyable booking and left with some lovely images. The only thing I need to do now is get back there! Thoroughly recommended location, just a fabulous site

I had the very great pleasure of spending a full day at Basford Hurst for a one to one tuition session with Owen Lloyd and Nicole Rayner.

It is very easy to see why this has rapidly become the go-to place for every photographer, model, creative, etc looking to create something extra special. The variety of spaces inside to work with are superb, and the natural light flooding in through the south facing windows is phenomenal, especially when the sun breaks through.

And as it was a damp, misty February day, we didn’t even venture into the adjoining woodland, which also looks amazing.

I met Simon, a friendly welcoming host who made us all feel at home. Although, unfortunately, I wasn’t able to meet Leanne on the day, we have chatted online a number of times, and she’s great too!

My first visit to Basford Hurst won’t be my last, it’s such an inspiring place! So thank you for helping to make the whole day an amazing, unforgettable experience. 100% recommended!

Went to Basford Hurst Cottage for the first time and it was great meeting Leanne and her partner. Couldn’t have been more welcoming or helpful. Only complaint was the two hour session went far too quickly. Very impressed by the venue and I have already booked a return visit. Highly recommended and be prepared as this location definitely has the wow factor.

I am super happy with my studio day at amazing @Basford hurst cottage which turned out to be much more than a cottage , I would call it a manor🤩 It was an absolute pleasure meeting Leanne and Simon, who are perfect hosts and very kind people who were so nice to host us all on that nice Saturday day. It was very warm and comfortable to be inside, a room for models are so cosy and one of the best ones I have been changing in for the period of my whole career. The cottage itself is fabulous, there are so many rooms with an authentic design and vintage hint to it so it is a shame to miss any opportunity to shoot at every spot over there. Leanne met us with a big smile and offered refreshments straight away, I felt very welcomed and like at home. We spent such a great day shooting there and all photographers were in awe from how many options we have and how fabulous the cottage looks like. There are a lot of props available over there and Leanne was always ready to help us with everything we needed. It was such a blast and I got the best memories from that day, Leanne organised everything perfectly.
