References for Basford Hurst Cottage Photography Location

I had my second shoot today at the outstanding Basford Hurst Cottage Studio. What can I say about this most beautiful of photographic studios that hasn't already been said by so many models and photographers? Well, all I can add is that you should try it for yourself. You will not be disappointed. I was shooting with the gorgeous Tatiana, we'd booked a four hour slot for the morning. We were greeted by lovely Leanne, the owner, and given a very warm welcome. She spent some time showing us around and answering questions before letting us get on with our shoot.

I'm super pleased with the images created today at this fantastic cottage and would be very happy to shoot there again and again and again :)

I had a fantastic experience working here for a first time. The studio is located in a beautiful house, boasting a variety of shooting sets that provided a unique backdrop for my shoot.

One of the highlights for me was the opportunity to pose with various beautiful necklaces available in changing room for models to use, adding a touch of elegance and charm to the photos. The studio's attention to detail was evident, and I appreciated the clean and organized setup, which allowed for a seamless and enjoyable photoshoot.

The two gorgeous bedrooms, along with the drawing room featuring a fireplace and large windows, provided a diverse range of settings for capturing different moods and styles. The abundance of natural light streaming through the windows added a soft and flattering glow to the photographs, enhancing the overall aesthetic.

I cannot praise Leanne, the studio owner, enough for her friendly and welcoming attitude. She made the entire experience truly delightful.

In summary, my experience at Basford Hurst Cottage Photography Location was amazing. The combination of the picturesque location, versatile shooting sets, and Leanne's hospitality created a memorable and enjoyable photoshoot. I highly recommend this studio for anyone looking for a comfortable and creative environment to capture beautiful moments.

This was my second shoot at Basford this time with Miss_C as my model for the day.

Great location with lots of beautiful natural light to work with, even in these shorter days.

As this was my second visit to Basford I was concerned I may not find new areas of the studio to work in but how wrong I was, the studio has so many unusual places in which to work which I didn’t see first time around. After 4 hours I came away with lots fabulous images.

The owner Leanne, was so helpful and accommodating and assisting with the movement of furniture and props to create the scenes I was looking.

I will be making a return visit as there are many more possibilities with this studio to explore, I still haven’t worked in extensive outdoor area yet, But I will as soon as the weather permits.

Just had my second shoot at Basford, this time with owner Leanne, we worked together for the whole day and I feel like I've only just scratched the surface of what can be achieved here. We were blessed with a bit of good weather which gave us the opportunity to explore the private woodland, which is fantastic. The cottage is great too, an abundance of natural light combined with rustic period features makes it a great space to get creative.

Just as I was on my first visit, I was welcomed and made to feel very comfortable, Leanne is a great host and excellent model.

Get your shoot booked, you won't regret it, 100% recommended.

What an amazing location and brilliant hosts. Leanne couldn’t have been more helpful both before the shoot and during. This is such an incredible location with so much choice in settings we didn’t get to do half of what we wanted even over 4 hours. This was my fourth shoot at Basford Hurst and as I have said before, I cannot recommend it highly enough. It is, without a doubt, my favorite place to shoot and as near a perfect location, both inside and out, as anyone could wish for. I am in awe of Leanne and Simon for the wonderful work they have and are continuing to do there. It really is a classy location!

I think it would also be appropriate to mention Leanne and Simon's kindness and hospitality. It is always a pleasure to see them both and, as has been mentioned in the references left by many on here, their generosity, friendliness and the welcome received are second to none.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my visits to Basford Hurst and as I have already booked, am looking forward, impatiently, to my next visit in 2024.

A wonderful location to shoot in with model Em Yang for a cosplay shoot. I could see it would be the perfect space and would suit the tone and theme of each outfit and it certainly did. Great look and feel to each room which really went well with what I was going for, very classy and sophisticated. Hope to shoot here again in the future.

Where do I start? I booked the studio and it's resident (literally) model/owner Miss C as a birthday treat for myself. There are so many options to choose. There are large spaces, small spaces, the outside, an workshop/garage/shed - in fact, apart from a couple of private rooms, nowhere is off limits.

Natural light is incredible throughout the cottage, and even on an October day, we only resorted to using lights for a couple of sets.

Leanne is a perfect host and welcomed me with a hot drink on arrival, and her partner kept us going with drinks and snacks throughout the day.

If it wasn't so far from home, I'd be there every week I think - so next time I may have to book a weekend. A must shoot at studio for everyone.

I had the pleasure of shooting at Basford Hurst Cottage for the 3rd time, it is such a lovely place and with so many areas plus backgrounds to use. There are still areas that I have not used to shoot in.

This time the model was Gwendoline Ginoux who was also brilliant on the day.

This was my 3rd time to Basford Hurst Cottage and there are so many possibilities to shoot there. Leanne and Simon were such welcoming hosts as always and they always make me feel like home.

The heater was on and Leanne made sure that I was warm enough which was very appreciable for someone like me who gets cold easily.

Organisation was fantastic with Leanne and we already fixed a date for our next studio day. I can't wait to come back! Thank you!

I had the pleasure of attending a model day at this stunning location today with Gwendoline Ginoux and model and host were impecable.

As per my previous reference the sense of community and professional approach that Leanne and Simon not only give to the studio but remember this is also there home is fantastic. The welcome as ever was superb and there hospitality was 2nd to none. Nothing seems too much trouble and that is what makes this the reputation that the studio has built up and no shadow of a doubt will be the No.1 studio that you will want to attend.

My 2nd visit to Basford Hurst Cottage - this time to shoot Gwendoline Ginoux on her model day - gave me more of a chance to explore the venue. The weather was decidedly autumnal so we only shot within the main building but we were spoilt for choice with so many rooms and angles to choose from. Leanne is a great host, explaining the minimal house rules clearly and then leaving you to get on with the shoot - but always available if you have any questions. An excellent venue which I hope to return to soon.

Wowowow! Basford. Prepare for a long reference simply because there's just so bloody much to talk about it's literally so overwhelming. It's a stunning cottage with gorgeous interior with beautiful gardens/ woodland, a pond, river, and lots of picturesque spots to capture. Whether you're into nature photography or want to take some portraits, basford is such a beautiful location to shoot at. It offers a variety of backdrops. One of my favourite spots is the derelict building outside- my pure dark heart absolutely loves that grunge spot. I've created some fantastic images there! And plenty of FPIs. The dining room, the bathroom, the stairway. Gosh there's just so much! But enough out the location! Let's just give a mention to the beauties that own it! Leanne and Simon! What a beautiful couple that are just so warming and delightful to be around. They're super welcoming that create a comfortable environment to be around. This is especially important to a new model like myself. I need a comfortable environment to get into the groove of things ya know 😜. And they sure do that. It's the little things that count, like the welcoming sign, that was super cute! And the dressing gowns!!! I adore the dressing room, the privacy is fantastic. And great for just chucking clpthes on and off like myself as a fashion only model. Anyway, I love this place as you can tell... it's just so lovely. Thankyou so much for having me. It's an honour to shoot at this place and if you ever get the pleasure of working here- you won't be disappointed.

PGD Modelling and Photography Studios

Well...

3 words and all of them are WOW!

What a venue, this place is just full of spaces to create art.

We organised an event here featuring 3 amazing models, and approx 20 photographers all seperated into small shooting teams throughout the day.

Whilst in the middle of a storm the photographers traveled far and wide, all deceeding on the cottage coming in, out of the rain after long drives. Our host Leanne was amazing had the kettle on got them comfy and settled whilst we put together some varying equipment for photographers to use throughout the day.

As i say this venue is full of delights some stunning architecture, some beautiful decor and so much more.

The event was well organised ran smoothly, timings flowed and the photographers were able to move around, take timed turns with different models in different locations as well as take short breaks with refreshments if they wanted.

With lighting tools a plenty we were able to create some unique looking set ups,and saw our group exploit every shootable corner of the venue. (inside at least, it was bad weather)

I am so looking forward to see images from this event as i know there are 1000s that will be first class.

If you have not been to Basford Hurst Cottage, then i ask you, what are you waiting for?

Having shot at Basford Hurst a couple of times, I instantly knew that it would be the perfect location for one of our (Creative Photography Events) larger group shoots.

With 3 stunning models and 20 photographers across the whole day, Leanne, was as ever, the perfect host. The location offers countless opportunities to create magic and you will always be made welcome into Leanne and Simon's home.

Shooting at Basford Hurst Cottage is always a pleasure and an experience not be missed.

I recently had the chance to get myself back to Basford as I was modelling for last week's art nude and feminine sheer event held by Creative Photography Events & what a day!! Basford was the PERFECT location for this, allowing us models to utilise the space and get creative, whilst also giving the togs the perfect setting for that dreamy feel to be portrayed in their work. Leanne was, as always, a fabulous host and ensured I was always well looked after in every way possible. I think the images speak for themselves, but just to reiterate, there couldn't have been a better venue choice for this day! Thanks so much for another awesome day, already can't wait to be back!!

Although not my first visit to the house / studio the thing that will stand out for me is the hospitality, the welcome and the enthusiasm that Leanne and her partner Simon bestowed on me when I arrived. Nothing was too much trouble and the feeling of being part of the studio and the community they have built up was incredible. The rooms you are able to shoot in are impeccable , clean and the natural light OMG.

Can't wait to get back there and showcase the results that this studio has to offer. recommend 100%. Guys and Girls get yourself here , it is a experience that you shouldn't miss

Wonderful location, great, different spaces, all beautifully finished and furnished to very high quality. Leanne is a perfect host, always making sure that everyone is OK, getting the images that they want, and working with the photographers and the models to get the maximum out of the facilities. I shot at Basford as part of a group shoot, what an amazing location to shoot in. Lovely natural light even on a very rainy day. Lots of great spaces to take photos in with the rooms providing backgrounds which add an extra dimension above a normal studio space. The owners are very hospitable and obliging too and gave us all a warm welcome to their home. Thank you.
