It has to be one of the best places to shoot.

Everything about the work that has been done to create a location that is second to none is obvious.

Leanne is so easy to liaise with when organising a shoot whether it be one of the wonderful model days that she organises or your own the experience is straightforward.

Am added touch is the great email with location details, WiFi and house rules which means you know what to expect.

And today no different superb shoot with the lovely Anna C. A venue where you can get the chance to work with models who you wouldn’t normally get a chance to work with makes Basford such a great venue.

I had my third shoot at Basford Hurst Cottage. this time with the elegant Anna Chum. Leanne always me so makes so welcome, and is so attentive to make sure everything I needed was available, There are so many areas with great backdrops to use, you need to preplan to make the most of your on the shoot. Something I did this time and it all went like clockwork. Thank You Leanne for allowing strangers to wander unhindered through your beautiful house. you are a star!

Each room is beautiful and unique and super clean and tidy

On arrival I was kindly greeted and given a tour of the cottage, shown around the changing room and offered a drink - excellent welcoming!

Today was my first shoot at the beautiful, no, very beautiful Basford Hurst Cottage and it was amazing. The icing on the cake was that it was also a shoot the owner of Basford Hurst Cottage, the delightful Miss_C.

Met with a warm welcome, I was given a tour of studio and it is is an amazing, versatile space, with options to shoot within various rooms and outside, which includes what Miss_C describes as a 'derelict space' which has great character.

Inside there is plenty of space and the natural light pours in through the large windows.

I thoroughly enjoyed my shoot at Basford Hurst Cottage and the hospitality provided by Miss_C was first class. I can't recommend highly enough - thank you Miss_C

Shot here this week and from the moment I arrived, I was made to feel welcome and comfortable, which is so important when venturing somewhere new. This continued throughout my entire visit :)

I can safely say that this studio offers more than you will be able to use in even a week of shooting. The interior options have everything you can dream of for rich, warm shoots - solid wood floors, panel walls, mantlepieces, high ceilings, imposing beams. The bathroom shooting location is bright and evocative, the bedrooms, staircases and large windows offering every twist and variation you can think of. And this is before we even venture to the outside possibilities.

Leanne and Simon have created something truly marvellous in this studio and I am very much looking forward to seeing what I can do when I next come here! I heartily recommend you check them out.

Shot at Basford Hurst Cottage recently with Cariad Celis, using a variety of exterior and interior locations. There are so many more places we didn't get to this time. This time, we used a half-dozen doorways, many corners, and a variety of rooms; with a mix of natural light, flash, and a mix of both.

There are a huge number of choices. We stayed close to the cottage itself because of the rain (laptops are notably water-averse), but that still provided a lot of options.

Multiple large rooms, wide range of exterior looks, it's a great place to shoot.

Highly recommended!

What an incredible studio, Leanne the owner is very helpful and replied to my emails in the most professional and timely manner.

I unfortunately am not in a position to visit at this current time, I'm envious of those that can experience the splendour of the studio.

It's hard to know what to say. Basfordhurst has got to be one of the best studio locations in the country. it has wonderful rooms, a host of shooting possibilites, woodland and a stream as icing on the cake, so to speak.

Leanne and Simon are great hosts, helpful and hard working, and they do everything they can to ensure the shoot is a success.

I recommend Basfordhurst to everyone. Get a booking made and you'll see what I mean!

I shot at Basford for a Christmas shoot with John Downey. Simon & Leanne are very nice people, very welcoming & kind. The cottage is huge! & beautiful I must add - plenty of props and space to get your desired shoot. We managed to get some amazing pictures in the multiple different rooms the cottage has to offer. I will definitely be back for another shoot. Thank you so much ☺️

A late cancellation on Ashley's studio day at Basford Hurst Cottage was an opportunity I couldn't miss as I was free even though it's not exactly local to me (3 hour-ish drive lol).

Don't think I can add anything new that I haven't said before in previous references so won't make you read it all over again, all I will say is that this is an epic location and very much one of my favourite places to shoot.

This was my last shoot at Basford for 2023, roll in 2024 to see who Leanne hires to shoot there. This time I photographed Ashley Ashton, as aways Leanne gave a warm welcome, offered tea or coffee, just to just what’s called for after driving there

If you haven’t been to Basford in 23 try in 2024 you won’t regret it.

Well we’ve all seen the pictures on here already that made me want to book a shoot at Basford house & I’m already ready to go again, what a place, Leanne couldn’t be more friendly, & helpful

Shows you around the place & makes a brew & the rooms are all a decent size, & each room has its own features, the lighting is easy to move around, as it’s all rechargeable, & I will definitely be back

Leanne was good enough to arrange a studio day for me at her home in Staffordshire. The basford cottage was is like a hidden gem with an abundance of beauty and character. Rooms are large and grand and are immaculate in appearence.

The cottage , despite its size is warm and welcoming and i am over the moon i got an oppurtunity to shoot here.

Leanne was super accommodating and i was well looked after during my visit.

I would absolutley reccomend the studios as one of the top studios on this site, and that is in both its attraction to the models and the photographers looking to shoot there.

I hope i return and thankyou leanne and partner for your hosting.

Had a wonderful shoot with Ashley Ashton on Sunday, as usual Leanne and Simon were dream hosts, positive and friendly much needed drink chat and then onto the creative endeavours!

Basford is ideal for our hobby, lots of great locations inside, the outside is pretty good too, then the real star feature, an area of private woodland just the perfect size for a really contrasting set of pictures. Its well worth supporting how often does someone buy a property for our benefit!

Look forward to future visits and highly recommend this location :-)

My first of two visits in a week and as always its such a special place to come to, especially as I hadn't seen the garden improvements for a while.

AS always the cottage is kept immaculately with superb furnishings and no clutter hanging around the place, despite it being a full time residence. For this shoot we used the christmas decorated hall and the piano room, both of which were perfect for the images I had in mind (and especially posed for by the lovely Leanne).

One of the best photo locations in the country, its a huge credit to Leanne and Simon and we are all honoured to be able to shoot at this magtnificent site,

I had such a warm welcome from Leanne and Simon. We hit it off immediately and it felt like being with old friends.

The studio is just jawdropingly amazing.

Everything they have done to the cottage is to a high end specification.

All I can say is do not hesitate in booking this studio.

I had my second visit to Basford Hurst this week, a second lovely warm welcome from Leanne and Simon and a second excellent shoot.

The studio officially opened in April this year and already has an impressive, and thoroughly deserved, 268 very positive references. It is a fabulous location with no end of possibilities for amazing images. Beautiful rooms, lovely natural light and everything done to a very high standard. I already have a third shoot booked for March but may very well return before then.

Don't hesitate, book a shoot. You'll be very glad that you did.

I've just had my second shoot at Basford and as before I was greeted with outstanding hospitality and support. You are always made to feel so welcome here.

I'm not sure what I can add to my first review. Basford is simply a brilliant location and has all the facilities you need to create stunning images. What more could you want? (be a little closer maybe :-D)

Leanne and Simon have certainly created a special place for us so reward them with lots of bookings and treat the place with respect so we can look forward to shooting there for years to come.

I had my photoshoot at Basford Hurst Cottage yesterday and I was very impressed with the whole cottage. There are so many opportunities available for any photographer who wants to shoot there. I had booked the Cottage all day and the time flew by. I was impressed by the amount of natural daylight that was available particularly for December even in the mid afternoon. Leanne and Simon are perfect guests who were very helpful in all respects. I will definitely be going there again next year. Thanks again for a wonderful and highly productive visit. Highly recommended.
